Spaghetti & meet Spaghetti and meatballs, garlic knots.
Kathy S.

Was in Temecula last week with my mom and we decided to find a new place for lunch. There was one table occupied by two diners and we walked in right behind another couple. There was one person behind the bar who pointed to a booth near the back for us to sit. Turns out he was the only front of house person who,e we were there. May have been ok, however he did not multitask and instead helped the first table by making drinks, next taking their order, them bringing out complimentary garlic knots and delivering their food before going to help the people who walked in before us. It would have been nice to have a menu and water, but that didn't happen. I was ready to leave but my mom wanted to stay he handled them start to finish as well. He was doing other things after giving us menus, then came with the lunch menu. He said they had only one, for the whole restaurant! Before we could look at it he asked if we were ready to order then came back as my mom was looking at it, which I hadn't. If the service is like this on a Tuesday afternoon at 12:45, no telling how long the wait would be when it's busy. I'm hoping it just an off day. As we were leaving, there was another staff member talking with the lone guy. Now for the positive, the food was delicious. My mom had the spaghetti and meatballs, I had the lasagna from the lunch menu. So many places to choose from in Temecula, doubtful we'd return.

Went to Francesca's for a family dinner on a busy holiday weekend, where we were lucky to snag a same day reservation. The restaurant is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking in the evening. The interior is cozy and reminiscent of a traditional Italian restaurant. Nearly all of us ordered a pasta dish, which we enjoyed. A plate of garlic knots was also included with the meal. I had the linguine alle vongole, where the white wine sauce shone and was truly the hero of the dish. My husband had the mussels fra diavolo, which were prepared in a rich, spicy tomato sauce. The dessert was a pistachio tiramisu, which we were excited about. We felt it fell a bit flat, as the pistachio flavor didn't seem to be infused in the tiramisu and was only really detectable in the ground pistachio sprinkled on top of the dessert. Because it was so busy (there was a large kids' soccer team seated behind us), the restaurant was quite loud and service was a bit slow, but always warm and friendly. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the waiter made sure to congratulate us multiple times. Would recommend a stop here if you are craving solid Italian food.

f you're craving authentic New York-style Italian, Francesca's Italian Kitchen is it. Every dish hits--flavor, freshness, and portion size all on point. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the sauces are rich and bold, and the flavors are exactly what you want from real Italian food. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. The service is amazing--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Honestly, this place nails food, ambience, and service. If you're looking for a slice of New York Italian right here in Temecula, you can stop searching--this is it.

Macy was our server. First time here at Francesca's. We have been driving by this restaurant for years and decided to give it a try. To our surprise the service was good, the food was good, and loved our appetizer and food. There was one exception, all of my clams and mussels did not open, so they were dead already. Those should have been taken out of the dish. With my stomach I would have had food poisoning, if I did not know not to eat. Would we come back, yes! Hopefully, management will notify kitchen staff not to do that. I still want to try other things on the menu. The tiramisu was great when I tried it at the restaurant. Let it sit a day was not in my favor. Loved the experience. The server tried to make the clam & mussel special right so she gave me a discount.

Sweet family owned restaurant. The ambience was comforting & very family oriented. With the young daughters playing outside, then coming in to take the customer's orders. I came here to order the chicken mama Mia, but I didn't see it on the menu. So I ordered the chicken piccata instead. I later found out that they can make it & the things you see on their Yelp page that aren't on the menu. So I will try the chicken mama Mia next time. My hubby ordered the spaghetti bolognese off menu, and my son ordered the carbonara. I also ordered the arancini, it was my fav from everything we ordered. We all enjoyed everything, including the complimentary bread. I was so sad everyone was too full to help me try the chocolate soufflé. So we will have to come back & try next time.

This place is amazing, really good service, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for an Italian dinner. I highly recommend this place!

Food is okay, I love the bread but it's already oily so when you dip it in the oil/balsamic vinegar it got even greasier. Honestly, I'm not sure about the customer service. Don't get me wrong, they were civil with us, but you can tell that they treat their patrons in a much friendlier way. For example, this table next to us, they were very attentive and asked them if they wanted more bread or water, etc. While on our table, when we finished the bread, they just took the empty plate out. There's no more water and no one even asked if we wanted a refill. So basically we're not coming back.

If you're looking for the best Italian food in town, I recommend Francesca's! This place has everything you could ask for here or a few of my favorite dishes not only do they look amazing but they are 100%! Their servings are large enough to share. Simply delicious

I've driven by this place many times and decided to give it a try. They serve some bread that my bf really enjoyed but I was trying to save my appetite for our appetizer, the bruschetta. The flavor was perfect, the tomatoes were fresh, the herbaceous basil, the balsamic reduction, perfection. I could've eaten the whole plate. For entrees we decided on the lobster ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo. The ravioli was to die for. The rich creamy sauce perfectly complimented the succulent lobster ravioli. Sadly the fettuccine seemed to be lacking in flavor. To finish our meal we shared the spumoni ice cream. So good! I loved the chocolate shell on the outside. Service was good but it did take an exceptionally long time for us to get the bill, not a big deal we were enjoying each other's company on our date night. Overall we will definitely be back.

Food was delicious, the service was fast, and we are very stuffed and happy! We will be back!

Lasagna alla Bolognese

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! This is a cute and cozy family owned Italian restaurant and the food is amazing! Kevin was our waiter and he was so welcoming and friendly! Everything we ordered was very good, but if you do come here you have to order the lasagna bolognese!! It was delicious!

Food was excellent, lasagna and pesto chicken rigatoni were both amazing. However service needs serious training. Music was too loud, forcing everyone at every table to have raised voices and therefore causing the ambiance to be noisy. Went 18 minutes plus with no water or other beverage. Couldn't make it happen. This is a serious lapse in managing a table. Go here for the food, expect some hiccups.

We arrived early on a Friday evening, and thankfully it wasn't crowded. Since they don't take reservations, getting there early is definitely the way to go. We ordered the Dealer's Choice, which was refreshing, balanced, and beautifully presented. We also tried one of their stronger signature cocktails, and they definitely don't hold back -- there's a reason they limit those drinks to two per person! Both drinks were creative and well-crafted. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and the drink presentation was outstanding. Service was good, although not especially memorable, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. One thing that would make the experience even more immersive would be if the entire staff wore cowboy attire to match the Old West theme. With the speakeasy setting and vintage decor, it would add a fun touch and make the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, Twain Speakeasy offers excellent cocktails, good music, and a unique atmosphere. I would definitely come back again, and my recommendation is to arrive early since reservations aren't available and I can see this place filling up quickly on busy nights.

Inside, the ambiance reminds me of Nor Cal - SF with a cool neighborhood restaurant where the surrounding area melts away. It's classy yet unpretentious. We took my Yelp friend Lori out for her birthday and we all chose the price fixe meal. The entrance can be confusing only because the front door jams shut and one has to go through the back of the restaurant. You get 4 course plus a bread course and amuse bouche. Let's pause for the bread course. This bite sized piece of heaven is otherworldly. They need to serve more of it throughout the meal. The chef's starter was lovely and then we settled into our meal. It will be European style service so definitely let them know if you need to hit a show or movie. From the four courses we tried a bit of everything: Beef tartar (wonderful and innovative version of this dish), foraged mushrooms, charred cabbage, beet passionfruit salad, filet mignon, duck confit, and the only dessert that matters: charred butter cake. All were stellar!! Not a miss on the menu and all at 5 star quality. We also had tea and a cocktail, again both were outstanding. The service needs refinement though. It's a step below Michelin level fine dining indeed. I brought two bottles of wine, corkage $25 each, and never once was our glasses filled. I filled up everyone's glasses all night. This was irritating as not only did I pay corkage, but they added $10 tip to corkage with automatic 20% tip at end. The server did not deserve that extra $10 although she was lovely throughout the meal except for one more misstep. After the main meal was over, I wanted to have some more of that wondrous bread and was told the kitchen was closed. We were never warned about this. Every restaurant tells the guests at least 15 minutes before the kitchen closes. Other than those minor mistakes, this was a fine dining meal not found anywhere else in this part of S Cal/Riverside County. Highly recommended!!

The owner was delightful as was the chef. We had Oyster, followed by a stone fruit salad I was worried about until I took one bite and ate every bit of it. The next course was duck confit followed by filet mignon then dessert. I usually have pictures for my reviews, but I was so thoroughly enjoying my food I plum forgot to take a picture. Every good and wine pairing was perfect. To be fair I passed this place a few times, but never really knew they served food because of the name. You need this food in your life. My husband and I will be back.

I hope they continue to hire him to play live music because he was the highlight of the evening. The food was mediocre at best. The poke was not very good, the pieces of tune were huge and there was like 5 big cubes of it that were seasoned strangely. They put what tasted like a sweet eel sauce or a balsamic glaze on top which ruined the flavor of the whole thing and is not a usual poke flavor. I had a few bites and gave up. Then I ordered the fish tacos and those were ok, and not bad honestly. Just very heavy handed with the sour cream on top which kind of ruined it otherwise they would have been great. The drinks were awful. We tried 3 and all of them were bitter and not very tasty. I took one sip of the "spritz me up" and sent it back for a different drink instead. The service was OK. I feel like we could have been checked on more and I waited 15min after my first sip of that drink to replace it with another one and then waited another 10min for the replacement for almost half an hour of waiting for a drink that was drinkable.
