Let me just start by saying the service was excellent. Very nice people and our drinks were always refilled right away. The problem lies in the bathroom cleanliness and overall lack of flavor in the food itself. We got here just after opening and so the bathroom should have been spotless. Instead it doesn't look like it's been cleaned since the building was Hometown Buffet. And this was the women's restroom. The food was all hot, but oddly flavorless for the most part. The service was alright but the people were quiet and almost tried to ignore us. We went to eat and found out the orange chicken had a different batter and was already making me and my family full. We kept eating and realized that we were all so full but wanted to eat to get our moneys worth but we couldn't eat through All the food. We then touched it out and went to get seconds. When we got back we back we tried the sweets and the only good thing that was good was the ice cream. The flan was a different type of flan that wasn't appealing to us and the fruit was more on the warmth side. We weren't liking and decided to leave early. When we went to pay, the amount for 4 people (a 10, 12, 12, 40 year old) and the cost was almost a 100 dollars. REALLY!! It is home town buffet ambiance and food is cold, overcooked or bad quality in general. There is a sushi bar but thats about the only good thing there is. So, my family and I finally got to eat at this gem. Oh wow, were we impressed. The comments and ratings on YELP were making me nervous, but we are new to the area and want to try as much as we can at least once. We were shocked. I'm writing a review based on my two experiences. My first time there was when it was first opened, It was busy and super packed. I saw them replacing dishes every other time I went up to get food. Which is a good sign. The food itself was good to me. But I stick to the things I like. My second experience, I was slightly surprised that there was barely any one there. It was so dead. The Mexican area that they had on display had no food there. Some of the food I could tell had been sitting there for a long time. There wasn't much of a variety this time around. The servers were pretty attentive taking dishes out every single time we were done. My friends with me were not stoked and did not enjoy their time or entrees. To me this place was just a basic Chinese buffet. You get your usual fill of the normal foods. I wouldn't dare to eat any of the sushi though because you are messing with your body with that one. Also it was slightly a bummer that most of the servers did not understand English. We asked a question to a server and she repeated what we said and about five other servers came out to try to understand us. This new location keep all the old signage from the hometown buffet that previously resided there. The food wasn't tasty or fresh. I got home and was violently ill for about two hours afterward. For some reason, this place seems to stay busy though. The one thing I can't complain about was the staff kept coming around and refilling water, taking away dirty plates. I got this coupon in the mail last week so I decided to go try this restaurant. When I got there just after 11 am on Saturday, I was told that they won't honor this coupon and that they changed their policy since that coupon came out and that Saturday and Sunday were dinner prices all day at $15.50 per person. I showed his the coupon where it clearly says $8.49 for lunch Monday through Saturday only. I believe they never intended on honoring the coupon when they posted it and sent it out in the mail. It was a scam to get people to come in. Even if you look at the coupon for their dinner price, it was $10.99. They weren't even willing to honor THAT price. Me and my mother went here for dinner last night. The food tasted dirty and bitter. It was hard to find something that didn't taste like it wasn't prepared properly. After trying almost every thing there I could not find something that tasted right and I lost my appetite. My mother ate more than I did. While at the restaurant the owners children are running all over and creating a lot of noise. And then sure enough this morning me and my mother both woke up feeling sick. My mother is bed ridden with body aches, chills, and a splitting headache ache along with stomach issues. I got lucky and am only having stomach issues. I agree with Jovi C. The first time I ate here was the last. Food was on the cool side and one of the chicken dishes was undercooked, yuck. Their noodles were not totally cooked, anyway tasted like that to me. There wasn't very much to choose from and very little in the pans. If there would have been 10 people in the place there wouldn't have been enough food to feed them all. I would give a 3.5 stars if I could but ill settle for a 3 for a few reasons and Ill explain why. I visited Four Seasons on March 20th at around 2 pm, and was satisfied with the food and service but not overly happy with the whole experience if that makes sense. I am giving them a some slack because of Corona, I know they moved to a new location across the street like 1 month before Corona hit and I'm sure they are getting hit hard in terms of money during this time. Spending the money to switch locations is hard enough, but to add the extra hardship with being forced to close due to corona must have been extremely hard so they will get a little slack in my review because of that. Plus the fact that not many people are coming because of corona it is hard to keep food as fresh as you would like it without them losing a ton of money on wasted food. So, on to the review about the food. If you have been here before it is honestly about the same as you remember it. They have a few good items that are pretty satisfying, from their white rice that is always fresh to their orange chicken that is pretty flavorful. One of my favorites are their chicken on a stick that always tastes good and pretty tender for sitting in a tray for a while. They do have some really good dishes that you would expect in a Chinese place. However there are also some really not so good items they have that they don't even need to have. When I go to a Chinese place I want white rice, I want orange chicken, or teriyaki chicken but when you walk in and hit the buffet you see like half the items are not those. From their pizza to their crab legs or their french toast that probably has been sitting there for an hour. (Again I am giving them a bit of slack on this because of corona and the way buffets work) While its nice to have some variety, I don't want variety if it means that they are poor quality items. Their cheese pizza is not very good, the dough tastes good, but the cheese is very poor quality. I personally didn't have the crab legs but my brother and friend told me they were pretty gross. So for a good item they have you get a very low quality item and I don't know why they do it. If they focused their effort on perfecting their main items and left some of these other food options out they would have gotten a higher review from me. Then on to service. I forgot to ask our server for her name but she did a good job at making sure our table was cleared when we left to get more food, and she made sure to keep liquid in our drinks, while my water may have been low pretty often it was never empty and I really appreciate that from servers. When we got our dessert she noticed and brought over our bill when she saw that, and that shows me she was really attentive to us. Ended up giving about a 20% tip on a $54 bill for 3 people, I would have given a bit more but I unfortunately didn't have any other bills lower than a 20. Overall it was a decent experience, their Chinese food options were really good and their service was top notch. However their other food options were very poor quality and honestly not really worth grabbing unless maybe they were fresh and even then I'm not sure. I still have hope for this place, and I really hope they are able to get through Covid, I hate to see any business fall due to this pandemic. I will be back, not sure when but I do hope that they pick up the quality and freshness of the food especially if they insist on serving non Chinese food. read more

I've been dining here for years and just stick to the items that I know and like. The variety isn't great and the quality certainly could be better, but it's not a total dump either. I don't do much seafood, so generally stick to going in only for the lesser priced lunch. The service is usually attentive, they bring out drinks quickly enough, keep them replenished, and clear dirty plates often. The only real gripe I have is with their ToGo service... They charge the same amount as the regular All You Can Eat buffet, yet give you only a tiny ToGo container. This little box is ridiculously small and the amount of food turns out to be only a small fraction of what you'd be able to eat if dining in. Plus they want to charge extra for soup! I visited the Prescott Modesto Location today, for dinner approximately (4-4-24) @ 5:45PM, the buffet was packed as was their parking lot, as always. I approached the cashier and politely greeted her, she did the same, respectfully. I kindly asked her what is the price for 1 buffet? She said $21 without a drink, I said ok that's fine but how much for 1 to-go box? She said it by weight, an outrageous price of 8.61 per pound, I figured well "cost of business" I gather. Sadly when I brought her my to-go box the lady weighed it, and said $21 dollars ok? And I declined, I said no that is not ok, that's the price for your table service buffet.. without a drink. But she charged me anyways.. ignoring me. Completely. Mind you I was polite the entire time. In what world is a single to-go price the same price as their buffet? Apparently, this place conducts business practice in this regard. I don't get it, they are always getting business do to the Spanish community and otherwise and that's fine and dandy, but why attempt to rip off potential new customers that work hard in the same area? Needless to say there IS something wrong when a single to-go box is as much as an individual Buffet, without the drink.. Greed is becoming and should not be priority, a service you do but adjustment in this regard should be handled accordingly. The food was sub-par. Fried rice were lumps of left over rice, which is fine because that's how good fried rice is made except that, this fried rice was dried out in lumps with nothing else in it but vegetable oil. Hardly any color, egg or other ingredients. Uncle Rodger would be sad if he ate here.. with all due respect that's what I wanted the most, a good plate of fried rice. I cannot in good conscious recommend your establishment. Wish I could. With inflation and cost of living skyrocketing I get the higher charges, but when one thing differs from the other, adjustments should be made accordingly to avoid being called nothing but a, crook. read more
