Vegetable fried rice with no eggs on request

Came here for dinner after a long time. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food arrived relatively quickly and the portions were good. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We ordered a customized hot and sour soup, vegetable fried rice, vegetable chow mein, foil paper chicken, house chicken and string beans with added fried tofu. They made all the items correctly despite our multiple customizations. Everything was delicious and hot. A great option in modesto for chinese food!

This evening we sampled Imperial Garden, a Chinese restaurant I hadn't been to in years. I stopped going there when my employment moved to a different section of our town. She is my reliable gauge of what is good in Asian fare. We ordered two ice teas and a sampler appetizer. The teas were nicely large and refreshingly cool. The sampler was good; she pronounced the egg rolls very good. The pork was a bit tough for both of us. She said, "Noah's downtown is better." True that, without a knife to cut the pieces, the pork was a bit difficult to manage. She liked the shrimp very much. The tinfoil chicken was especially good, we both agreed, large portions to be sure. We ordered two mains and fried rice. I found the curry shrimp very good and the chicken and veggies nicely spiced. The staff was pleasant and attentive and kept our ice teas filled. A definite 4 out of 5, a future visit may well raise this.

Chef Jackie is the best chef ever in town . He's very friendly and very knowledgeable about the food he cooks . The servers are very polite and friendly as well.We always recommend them to our clients in our Spa located at Kglowdayspa in Mc Henry Villages behind Sprout and CVS. We ate here for the first time ever and were not disappointed. We were instantly greeted by staff and met with all the delicious smells from the kitchen upon entering. We were then seated and asked what we'd like to drink. Everything ordered came out so fresh and steaming hot. The egg flower soup tasted amazing and was the perfect temperature. We went with Mongolian beef and kung pao chicken combo plates paired with fried rice and chow mein. Needless to say that neither of them were a let down. The flavors were bold and perfectly blended for each dish. This will definitely be our "go to" Chinese food spot from now on and we'll definitely be recommending it to everyone in the area.

I was craving wonton soup and stumbled across this place online....cravings satisfied ! I appreciated the fact they served the soup for us when they brought the bowl to our table. Service was fast & friendly.

We went here for the first time after a Bill Engvall show at Gallo Center. We started with a wonton soup, which my wife, who is a professional chef thought was excellent, particularly the broth. I got the cream cheese wontons and they were fantastic. They were cooked in fresh, clean oil and the flavor was outstanding. We also got the salt and pepper chicken, which is a fried dish. Again, the frying process was expertly done. We topped it off with an order of chow mein and BBQ pork. The BBQ pork had very little fat and was delicious. The noodles were soft and fresh on the chow mein. Service was quick and friendly though they were busy. Pricing was very reasonable, especially considering today's prices read more

The restaurant is nestled in the cute downtown area of Hughson, their main street. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the staff and seated right away. We were there on a Thursday evening about an hour before closing, but the restaurant was packed with customers. The menu has an extensive selection of Chinese and Japanese dishes. I had the Bruce Li roll which had tempura shrimp topped with crab meat, salmon, tuna, spicy mayo and unagi sauce. I also 2 pieces of the Hamachi (yellowtail), miso soup, and spicy edamame. The fish was some of the freshest I've ever had - flavorful, definitely sushi grade, and I could tell that it also wasn't previously frozen due to the color and texture. The miso soup and the spicy edamame were well-seasoned and delicious. My nephew had a combination plate with orange chicken, broccoli beef, and chicken fried rice. One thing to note that was really nice is that the restaurant allows you to create your own combination plates, they're not set items with no substitutions. When our waitress brought my nephew's combo plate, the food looked freshly cooked and delicious! He ate every bite! If you're ever in Hughson, try the Hughson Asian Kitchen - the friendly staff and tasty food won't disappoint!

Also the chicken itself had that gross old chicken flavor that usually only comes from reheated chicken. The chow mein was also pretty bland. They did give chili sauce and soy sauce with the order, and adding those 2 things in spades did help with the lack of flavor. The cheese puffs were also disappointing. There was a good amount of crab in them, which is unusual for cheese puffs, however, the wrapper was thick and not crispy at all, mostly chewy, so all the enjoyable texture you expect wasn't there. My spouse had a combo with fried rice, beef & broccoli, and fried prawns. He liked it well enough but agreed it was pretty mediocre. The fried rice was pretty good but the beef & broccoli left a lot to be desired. In spite of the so so food, it's such a great price that it may be worth it to you. If you need a lot of food for not a lot of money, and you don't have high quality standards, this place will definitely take care of you.

Went here with a friend for lunch. I had the house chicken and my friend had the steamed veggies. Portion size was good. However, all combo lunch plates come with white rice. If you want chow mein and fried rice instead, it is $2.00 extra. I found this a little weird. The service was A+, very attentive staff and my glass was never empty for long. That said, I thought the food was good but, nothing like the "wow factor" that I read about from fellow yelpers. The chow mein and rice were good. The house chicken is deep fried with spicy sauce on it. I think the chicken was fried LONG AGO and reheated too much. I tried to cut a piece and it went flying.... I had such a great experience at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked -- you can really taste the quality in every dish. CAUTION !! BE CAREFUL !! the menu is not correct , my company employees had a bad allergic reaction. the Cream Cheese Wonton (8pcs) $10.50 do not just have cream cheese . they have crab in them and no one would know until its too late . we are working with management to figure out how to prevent this from happening again . imagine a little kid or someone you love ordering a item assuming its safe because they only list cream cheese and not crab and now they cant breath . we are hoping the owners reaches out to resolve this issue . we will presue this matter until resolved read more
