This is the BEST Chinese food in Riverbank! They have excellent customer service and the food is amazing every time. The restaurant is always clean and it's just overall a good experience here. They have the best pork chow mein and pork fried rice. I recommend to everyone. Also I have to add they give really big portions of their food so that's always good. If all you want to get are chicken teriyaki bowls this is the place. I heard they are the same owners or related to the owners of Lucky House (Chinese food in town). I've only had their chow menu and the bowls here so yeah stick to the bowls. I have had beef bowls and also not my thing. The chicken teriyaki bowls are a hit and since that's all I get from here they get the 5 stars. read more

Me and family just got back from driving 6 hours home from San Diego and didn't feel like cooking so my bf suggested stopping here. I'm so glad we did!! Someone of the best Chinese food I've had!! We live in Oakdale so we usually eat there but I would drive the 15 back here just to get another plate! I got the garlic chicken combination plate and the chow mein is SOOOO GOOD. The chow mein has such a different taste like a grill taste almost. The chicken is super flavorful too! All in all 10/10 read more

Was looking forward to having the chicken chowmein, sweet/sour pork over rice which I did have and it was great! Taste the same but the Asian chicken salad??? What happen? For to go orders you'd think they'll separate the salad dressing being it's TO go people don't eat right away but it was sloppy dressing all over looked like you'll feed to the pigs... This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant, I grew up in the valley and have been eating here for over 15 years. It's still excellent. I have loved the last 8 years in San Francisco and eaten at over a hundred different Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area. When I would come home to visit friends and family I would always come back to Golden ChopStix eat here. I will tell you what. This is still my favorite place to go to hands down. I have eaten most of their menu and never been disappointed. 10/10 would always recommend. read more

Big portions. Decent food. Every time I come here, there are people eating here. There really aren't many options for Asian food in the area. I like coming here because they are accurate with my order and the food is the food. It isn't bad but it isn't great either. The food doesn't really hold up well for leftovers. Not sure why this place has so many good reviews and comes up as number 2 for recommendations for Chinese food. It is total fast food junk, I got the orange chicken combination plate. It is nothing more than deep-fried bread with barely any chicken at all, basically no sauce on the chicken and the rice and noodles were incredibly mediocre. Panda express is 1 million times better to put it that way I will not be ordering here again. Bummer because it's local. read more

Love their Pork Chowmein it's my favorite. They have great customer service. I'd highly recommend for the price and quality.

This place is amazing...It's super clean and nicely decorated inside and the service is amazing! The lady up front was so nice and offered great conversation to my mom and I. The meals taste amazing especially the Mongolian chicken and their chow mein is so tasty as well. The portions are huge and I think the chicken comes with white rice, which was sticky and cooked perfectly. Everything is fresh tasting and has great flavor! I cannot say enough great things about this place. They are always consistently great and I love that about this restaurant. It's one of the best Chinese food places I've been to. I will definitely be coming back with my boyfriend because we are always looking for good places to eat and I will be recommending this place to others as well! read more

Went there for the first time last night on a recommendation of a friend. This place is small ( 8 tables) but extremely clean. It reminded me of our favorite Chinese restaurant in Santa Barbara when I lived there. The service was great and the food was just a good. Although the Inside wasn't that busy, they have a large take out business going on.We had won ton soup, pot stickers. They were great. Also had sweet and sour chicken and kung poo chicken. So far, this is the best Chinese food that I've had in Riverbank. My go to order is the general chicken combination plate, extra spicy, with all fried rice. I also enjoy their Kung Pao chicken which really hit the spot and cleared my sinuses. Great customer service. Nice staff. Go check these folks out. read more

This has been for several years my first choice in Riverbank for take out, however they have now down sized the take out containers. Disappointing that pricing has increased over time but now less food for more money. The increased wage hike does not affect this business. Bring back the larger take out containers. read more

Well our 1st try here and unfortunately it was a flop, the ladies were nice but the food wasn't what we expected after reading some of the reviews. We had the potstickers & crab/ cream cheese wontons those were delicious my husband said he liked his General chicken but my sons orange chicken had a weird bland sauce that tasted nothing like orange chicken as well as my garlic chicken was very bland & disappointing. Great food. Stopped there this evening for the first time. Got a few things and one special order of fried rice with no peas and carrots. This to me is the hallmark of a good Chinese restaurant, if they will do a special order or not. They did and it was wonderful. Great rice snd pork.
