##1. Slice of Steaks, Well Done Flank, Brisket, Tendon, Tripe, Meatball

Pho is the best I can find compared to my home town of San Jose. Tried a few place here in Modesto but this is the spot. Service is alway great, and they are nice and friendly. Never to crowded.

Really loved this place. The chow mein noodles were so fresh! The chicken had a good crunch and the sauce wasn't too sweet. The restaurant was clean and the server was friendly.

I ordered through grubhub, beef chow fung, appetizer combo small, and eggplant tofu. The eggplant tofu and appetizer combo was decent. The beef chow fung was terrible. I was served hard old flat rice noodles covered in greasy oil. There was literally a puddle of oil in the togo box. On top of there, there was absolutely no flavor. No salt or seasoning, just oil.

I love this place got addicted after I tried their chow mein. Their sweet and sour pork is really good too, I also like the sandwiches

Each meal is a delight here. Glad we have DK in our community.

I have been coming to DK Noodle for quite some time now and have yet to have a bad experience. Quite to the contrary, each and every visit has been good. The owner is a wonderful lady who takes time to learn what my wife and I like best, always prepares the meals and drinks as promised and advertised, and leaves us happy that we chose DK. With the arrival of the Corona virus, DK has transitioned to all take out and still doesn't disappoint. Give them a try, we think you will be pleased.

Grilled #54 Charbroiled Pork with Vermicelli, shrimp and egg rolls was ok except their fish sauce

Wanted to give this place a try because of the pictures outside their windows with the authentic Vietnamese food photo caught my attention. Walked in on a Friday night at 8 pm with a family of 5. Didn't look busy just a family and a couple. We waited and a lady came out and said you can sit anywhere.. so we sat ourselves. She then came by with a menu and welcomed us. The vibe was not right to me. Not to be mean but I felt like I was in a restaurant in Chinatown(y'all know what I mean). Anyways, we figured what we wanted and she came by to take our orders. What we ordered: Pho with steak- eh- too salty but ok Bun Bo hue (spicy beef noodle)- nope not even close how this soup should of been. Broth tasted sour due to the chili sauce and the noodles were vermicelli instead the actual thick noodles. Fried rice with bbq pork- good Bbq pork with shrimp and egg rolls with vermicelli - it was ok . Not too sure why each bite I took tasted like soap. Their fish sauce is not actual fish sauce... too salty in my preference. I wished their advertisement was More accurate. The food is not what appears like on the picture. I'm a true Vietnamese and know what to expect with my food! It's more like a fusion of Chinese food. Service was superb. I guess she's the owner and she was very attentive and apologetic each time she feels we had to wait.

One of the WORST springrolls I've ever had, ended up throwing it away.
    Jack R.

Awful sping roll that tasted more like a plain shredded lettuce salad. The wrapper was super dry, the shrimp was small and tasted stale, and honestly it just tasted like a weird salad rather than a great spring roll. Their peanut sauce was super chunky and awful. I was about to order a Pho to-go but when I askeda couple of customers what they thiught they said it was thwir first time here too and said it wasn't good, so I skipped the Pho. The saving grace was their nice cashier who was super friendly.

Beef fried rice? This tastes like grease and the meat is definitely not beef. The texture does not feel at all like beef.
    Karina S.

Tastes like grease and the beef is definitely not beef. Not even the texture is beef.

This was number 16 on the menu I forget what it was I think it was pork and shrimp pho noodles
    Paulina M.

Food was delicious ! I was really skeptical at first from reading other peoples reviews and when I walked in the restaurant was empty. Anyways I came here with my husband (he has a nut allergy) anyways thank God and the food was delicious and he did not get any allergic reaction I really enjoyed the food!!

Walking in on a Saturday afternoon (it was almost 3PM when we entered), you're met with a check-in counter. The inside is decorated much like a typical Chinese restaurant: round tables w a lazy susan, dark moody carpet, and infrastructure/roof tiling on the back wall that makes it look like we're dining right outside a traditional cafe in China. We were quickly seated and brought a regular menu and a dim sum menu. I liked that the dim sum menu contained pictures for easy point and order. But instead of pointing like a normal person, I brought out my broken Canto to order and I think I impressed uncle enough to get a complimentary bowl of egg flower soup lol. We ended up ordering: - Orange chicken lunch special: this comes with white rice or you can upgrade to fried rice or chow mein for an extra dollar. SO upgraded to chow mein and the plate that came out was HUGE. Was not expecting such a large portion, but I am not complaining at all. The chicken was sauced perfectly and he said the noodles were aight. - Ha gow (shrimp dumpling): these had thicker wrapping, but the dumplings themselves were stuffed. Good flavor - Shu mai (pork and shrimp dumpling): meaty, yummy. The skins sorta stuck to the bottom container though - Fong zhao (chicken feet): super delicious, but only came with 3 measly claws - Ham sui gok (fried glutinous rice pork dumpling): fried mochi goodness with delicious meat filling (even if the filling was a little sparse) - Gou choy gow (chive dumpling): my personal favorite dim sum dish; the one here was not my favorite, but it did its job. - Salt and pepper pork spareribs: we ordered this as an alternative when they told me they were out of their pineapple custard bun (bolo bao)... don't ask me how I went from dessert to this, but I liked it. The meat was kinda thin, but the flavor was there. We happened to have our meal right when the staff was having theirs right behind us. So by the time we were ready for the check, we kind of sat around waiting for someone to check on us. Our total came to about $60. I noticed that 2 of the dim sum dishes were marked as "large", at about $6.10 per dish. I wish this was posted on the dim sum menu somewhere... I only saw the $5.50 price tag. Overall, Dynasty Garden nostalgically reminds me of home, so I would definitely return.

The restaurant is nestled in the cute downtown area of Hughson, their main street. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the staff and seated right away. We were there on a Thursday evening about an hour before closing, but the restaurant was packed with customers. The menu has an extensive selection of Chinese and Japanese dishes. I had the Bruce Li roll which had tempura shrimp topped with crab meat, salmon, tuna, spicy mayo and unagi sauce. I also 2 pieces of the Hamachi (yellowtail), miso soup, and spicy edamame. The fish was some of the freshest I've ever had - flavorful, definitely sushi grade, and I could tell that it also wasn't previously frozen due to the color and texture. The miso soup and the spicy edamame were well-seasoned and delicious. My nephew had a combination plate with orange chicken, broccoli beef, and chicken fried rice. One thing to note that was really nice is that the restaurant allows you to create your own combination plates, they're not set items with no substitutions. When our waitress brought my nephew's combo plate, the food looked freshly cooked and delicious! He ate every bite! If you're ever in Hughson, try the Hughson Asian Kitchen - the friendly staff and tasty food won't disappoint!

We called in an order for pick up, when I got there 15 minutes later it was ready and waiting. The 2 combo plates probably weighed 4 lbs in the bag. I honestly have no idea but it was hefty. The gentleman who helped me was also very nice and prompt. Unfortunately, the food was pretty lackluster. My orange chicken was miles away from crispy and the sauce was kind of bland. Also the chicken itself had that gross old chicken flavor that usually only comes from reheated chicken. The chow mein was also pretty bland. They did give chili sauce and soy sauce with the order, and adding those 2 things in spades did help with the lack of flavor. The cheese puffs were also disappointing. There was a good amount of crab in them, which is unusual for cheese puffs, however, the wrapper was thick and not crispy at all, mostly chewy, so all the enjoyable texture you expect wasn't there. My spouse had a combo with fried rice, beef & broccoli, and fried prawns. He liked it well enough but agreed it was pretty mediocre. The fried rice was pretty good but the beef & broccoli left a lot to be desired. In spite of the so so food, it's such a great price that it may be worth it to you. If you need a lot of food for not a lot of money, and you don't have high quality standards, this place will definitely take care of you.
