As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a warm smile and sat immediately! They have a great menu, with even better pricing! I would definitely recommend coming in with a second person and sharing the plates. It was a calm atmosphere with attentive staff. I got the combo spring rolls and combo fried rice and it was DELISH! Will definitely be coming back for lunch again.

Had lunch with the family at Pho Viet after a long time not visiting. Things haven't changed much with the decor and the food has stayed pretty consistent. Our food came out very quickly and tasted great. Kind service as usual and delicious meal!

Not too impressed but they had what I wanted. Their banh mi sandwich and their tato boba is mediocre at best. I can't give this place higher than 3 stars. Their banh mi bread is obviously not fresh or else it would be crunchy like all baguette should be. And their taro boba is obviously from powder you get from a restaurant supply store. I could have made better myself but it was a hot day and didn't feel like making it myself. Quality: B Service: A Price: $$

I've been in Modesto for about a year now and I've been on the hunt for a pho restaurant to call home and surprisingly enough it was in my own backyard. The food was great, very tender meat! I ordered a small pho and the size and portion of meat/noodle ratio were perfect. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this place.

One of our favorite spots, love their chow mein, Kung pao and pho are our go to's and never disappoint. Definitely worth a try, not like your traditional spot, the noodles are different and so are some of the other dishes, but all have been pretty good. I dock one star because it's not the nicest part of town.

Almost everything in thier menu is bomb. the egg rolls are soo good Just wish the prices where like when i first started coming here

late lunch visit and finding mostly empty...menu provided and standard offerings...service is a little sluggish...ordering a rice plate...porkchop, eggroll and fried egg rice plate $13.50...requesting a diet coke $2...diet coke arriving quickly...food taking some time...some time passing and food arriving...large mound of rice...egg is fried hard on top...dark single eggroll fried to death...a bright red porkchop also appeared to be fried...a large pile of lettuce, julienned carrots and thick tomato slices...food was filling, but not very good for $20 total after tax and tip...

Been going to Pho Viet since 2010. The pho here never disappoints! I've tried most pho places around the 209 and this place is still my go to!

I had heard about Viet Noodles Xpress and decided to give it a try. The pho hit the spot. The quality of the beef is not as great as what I get in San Jose but it was still good, the broth had great flavor and the noodles were cooked perfectly. It was super comforting and much needed after being in the mountains for a few days. My wife ordered the bun bo hue and it tasted great. Lots of protein options and really good depth of flavor in the broth. I enjoyed it almost as much as the Pho. The staff was awesome. It looks like a family owned place and everyone worked together smoothly and was really welcoming. They were friendly, gave suggestions, and were quick with everything we needed. This will definitely be a spot we check out again if we are ever in the Modesto area.

My kid and I got our orders a bit later (which happens), but incomplete: the young white blonde waitress/cashier who took our order (we were there at 3PM on 9 August 2026) did not bring my kid's soup, and our trays did not have paper napkins or sauces. After a few minutes of watching other people being served their soup, I went back to the counter and asked for the soup. The same cashier/waitress said "Oh sorry." and assured us we would get it right away. We again watched other people being served their soup, and I had to go up and re,moind the waitress a second time to fill our order. When she did bring the order a few minutes later, again, there were no paper napkins and no butter with the bread, the waitress asked if we wanted some. Why was our initial order incompletely served? Why did we have to remind them to fill it twice? Why were we not given paper napkins? Why did we have to ask for butter with the bread when it is standard? I don't _know_ that it is racism per se, it might just be incompetence. But the corporation needs to understand why their employees' behavior needs to be not just equal but equitable: you have to be extra careful to not commit unconscious micro-aggressions, because the same "incompetence" lands differently when it is repeated, seems not to happen to white folks and the associated perceived bias has accumulated, we are not "more sensitive".

I never was interested in going there for years since it's been there but decided to try it tonight. Firstly, the ramen place holds maybe 40 at most and we had to wait a while before we were seated. They asked if we had a reservation but didn't think that it would be needed since it's not like a fancy restaurant and I don't know many ramen places that takes reservations. Since we didn't , we got seated on the bar which is fine. For it being in Modesto, they try to get the anime vibe with toys and anime art around. I'm no ramen expert but I've tried over a dozen ramen places in Tokyo, Vancouver, Japan town in LA, San Francisco, Oahu, Seattle just to name a few cities. So we got first the spicy garlic edamame. Not bad at all, had a kick to it and was edible. From a scale of 1 to 5. I'd give it a 5. For the main entree, I wanted the garlic tonkatsu but the waitress said they ran out.... Ok, for a Saturday night at 6 pm, running out of a ramen and they've been in business for several years now?!? never had that happen before in any ramen shop I've been to. So me and my wife both got the Ichiraku ramen which was a miso broth with pork belly. Price $23. I added 2 more pork belly at $5 more. Oh, the waitress mentioned no bamboo shoots and no fish cake........ ok, never had that happen before in a ramen shop. So while eating edamame, I kept track of how long it took we got our ramen.... It took 30 minutes before we got our ramen... definitely atypical to wait that long wait but I guess it's because they offer a lot of items besides ramen. Presentation was fine, the pork belly was seared on one side with a blow torch since I can taste that searing. . It just had green onions, 2 seaweeds and 2 soft boiled eggs which I was impressed the yolk wasn't overcooked. The noodles I chose was thin and was good with a soft texture. The miso broth was average Over all, it was an okay ramen. Me and my wife both didn't finish our bowls... definitely unusual since we love ramen but somehow, it didn't fulfill our satiety to finish and be content. I can tell you that of all the ramen places I've been to. This is average and doesn't compare to Ramen 101 in Modesto that I've ordered many times before my first time here. Sadly, I can only give it 3 stars because the ramen was average and not in the same league as other ramens I've had in other places and cities. And if me and my wife couldn't finish our ramen, that's a tell tale sign it was just okay. Plus, the place is called Konfucius Eats, doesn't have a Japanese name for a restaurant since "Confucius " is a Chinese Philosopher lol. In fact, I didn't see any Japanese or Asian cooks... just saying that's atypical to the other ramen establishments I've been to. For Modesto, it's aight. I just can't see myself going back here for a long time. Lastly, they are open Tuesday to Saturday only .
