The price is right. I guess I'm spoiled by eating with a Chinese family but it is difficult to find real Chinese food. I found this restaurant after shopping at Dollar General and Asian Market and decided to take a chance. I haven't had much luck so far. Entering, it's easy to be dismayed by the worn, well, everything. The menu board had 4 family dinner selections and they had some drinks up near there but I had to look at the paper menu to see what they had. It's a mom-and-pop place, so that's fine. First, I looked for fish dishes. They had one on the menu. Pretty much everything is a typical for a small Chinese restaurant--loads of stuff non-Chinese expect, sweet this, sour that, but lots of sugar. I ordered the Sweet, Spicy, Sour Fish Fillet and Hot and Sour Soup. She asked if I wanted steamed rice and I always do. I also asked for an iced tea. It came to around $14, which seems a bit more than I usually pay elsewhere, but I rarely get soup, or else my check will be over $20. The fish dish was $7.99, if I remember correctly--about $6.00 cheaper than elsewhere. It took a little while for the iced tea and the soup. Two people are running the place. That's fine but it's a lot of work. The soup was different than expected. It had the right color, but it was combined with egg, as though it was Egg Drop Hot and Sour Soup. Tasted really good to me. The iced tea had no sugar, thankfully. It took quite a while for the fish. I usually joke that they have to go out to the ocean to catch one, kill it, and cook it. However, they were cooking. Sauces take time and having safe fish is a good thing. The fish was breaded. Perhaps, they breaded it just then, which would mean that they'd have to fry it first before cooking it in the sauce. It was good, but for me, the sauce was a bit sweet. This is likely as good as most Chinese restaurants in the area, despite the appearance. I wish I could find one that definitely makes me want to return.

    Combination chow fun

They have authentic Cambodian dishes here. The chow fun is my favorite. And their prices are great.

BBQ Pork spare ribs, sauce is super sweet, but the ribs are made perfectly.

Heck, they all usually even have pizza and French fries if you don't want Chinese food! No hamburgers though, like Mexican places. This New King Buffet, (super common name for Chinese buffets for some reason), is located way in the back of a shopping area off East Hatch Road. Look for the Cost Less Foods store, it's back and to the right of that. Glad we had the GPS to get us here. It sort of looks a little run down and older, not one of these new fancy Chinese buffets with tons of Chinese people in line, eating strange food from tide pools, nope, more or less American Chinese here. We go in and it's actually decently large enough with all the normal selections or foods, like noodles, hot and sour soup, sweet and sour stuff and egg rolls. Lunch time so no crab out. Service is the usual Chinese efficient, just to fill drinks and clear plates is all. Everyone filled up and thought the food was decent and no complaints, so that's good. I like it doesn't take too long to do lunch here, outta here in under an hour. I hate places we end up spending 2 hours at for lunch. Buffets are good for fast lunch.

We came in at 6pm and many items looked like they had been sitting there a while. Nothing was really fresh looking. The only thing good here was the Pepsi. Sushi restaurant or a nightclub?…read more My friend and I decided to go for a night out Downtown. When we arrived at about 7:00pm, we were told there would be about an hour wait. Despite this long wait, there were actually quite a few empty tables, but was overall still very busy. When you put yourself on the waitlist, they notify you through text when your table is ready. This gave us ample time to walk around Downtown while we waited. When we received the table-ready text (just short of an hour later), we were sat quickly in a nice U-shaped booth. This seating arrangement felt a bit awkward for a party of two, especially if you are sharing food. The booth is too big to be sitting close enough to reach but too small to not feel awkward. It is perfect for people watching though since the booths face the entire restaurant. By this time, the restaurant was completely packed, with just about every booth, table, and barstool occupied. Our waiter came quickly to take our drink orders. We got a Cucumber Martini and an Espresso Martini. The Cucumber Martini was incredibly light and refreshing. The Espresso Martini was not impressive. It didn't have a strong espresso flavor and was rather watery, but still alright. This is the type of restaurant, that especially on busy nights like this where they don't accept reservations, you should allocate a lot of time for the dinner service for. There is a significant time gap between each time the waiter comes around to take your order. There was probably 15-20 minutes between placing our drink, appetizer, and meal orders. This was not a problem for us, but if you are eating here before making a show at the Gallo Center, this may be something to consider. For our appetizer, we ordered the Salmon Ceviche. It was insanely good. It was subtly spicy and citrusy. The chips that came with it were light and not oily at all. I wish the portion was larger because the two of us swallowed it up in just a few bites. For our entree, we got the Salmon Tataki and Goodi Rolls to split. They were both very good and came out on a lovely platter. They tasted very fresh and high quality. The prices here are on the higher side but is nice for a special occasion or splurge. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often. He was super friendly too. The restaurant was super lively. They were playing club music which was totally a vibe. It looked like this was the spot people hit before going out for the night. I noticed they were accommodating for both small and large parties, serving both rather quickly. I'll be back!

They packed everything nice and neat and reminded us of everything we ordered. The food was amazing! We ordered egg rolls (mixed chicken and veggies), combo plate with the beef skewer (comes with fried rice, chow mein, and 1 egg roll), popcorn chickens, spring rolls, and grilled chicken skewers. The fried egg rolls and popcorn chickens fried to a perfect light golden color, making it tasty, light and crispy. Egg rolls came with dipping sauce but it's optional in my opinion because they were already flavored perfectly! The popcorn chickens were lightly battered and crispy and came with Sriracha-mayo dip making it a perfect combo. For the chow mein, and fried rice, I was expecting them to be typical Chinese style, which isn't bad. But, to my surprise, the noodles had a hint of sweetness and garlic aroma in a way that makes it very Cambodian. The fried rice tasted like it was prepared the Cambodian way, where the rice had a smoky flavor. The skewers were delicious! They were tender and the flavor was just right! They threw in some tempura green beans which I missed on the menu, and those were delicious. It tasted fresh and the batter complimented it and did not overpower. They also threw in some papaya salad and it was delicious! It came with sticky rice! I didn't post the other food because the kids finished them before I could get a picture!!

They ran out the chow mein and the fried rice, but it's okay, this ends well! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu at their restaurant location.
