We came in about 45 minutes before they closed but they still sat our group of 5 and gave us time to order. I ordered a large pho and all the food came out pretty quickly. The broth had a nice deep flavor to it and really hits the spot even though it was so hot outside. There was a lot of noodles that were cooked pretty well with a little bounce to it. I thought that there was too little meat compared to the amount of noodles that were given but I already knew that coming in from reading the other reviews. Overall was a really decent place if you're craving it. The workers were nice and didn't hurry us even though we did stay about 5-10 minutes past closing time for us. read more

Good service even though the servers don't seem friendly. They do provide what you ask. We ordered pho, eggrolls, coconut shake, and the special noodle soup. The pho was decent with a generous amount of meat. The eggrolls were good. I was not impressed with the special noodle soup. The broth for that was bland and so clear that the bbq pork dyed the broth pink. I thought the broth was hot water with some chicken bouillon. The chicken was nice and soft and I did get a good amount of rice noodles but I did not want to finish or eat much due lack of flavor. I would definitely not order the special soup again. They did not have fish sauce for condiments. Overall, the food and service were ok. We might consider coming back if we ever thought about trying the handwash car service. read more

With an understanding that inflation is hurting everyone; I still recommend this place. A large does not mean you will get more ingredients, just a larger bowl with more rice noodle. Meat portions the same as small (IMO). With that out the way....the flavor spot-on!!! Delicious! read more

3.5 stars considering the area and available options. Noodle soup portions are pretty large. Large size was too much to finish and had a lot of meat. Pho broth could be a bit more flavorful/spiced, but that's a personal preference. Hu tieu dac biet (special combo) had a mix of shrimp, squid, imitation crab, fish balls or fried tofu (I forget), chicken, pork. They can even make it with the wide rice noodles (aka chow fun / ho fun noodles) instead of the regular pho noodles. Fyi they don't take Amex. read more

I have been living in Modesto for 20 years +, and I have been eating here since they first opened. What I like about them is the food portion they offer is still high quality and have not change. The workers there don't speak good English, but they are very friendly. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food in Modesto, then this is a perfect place. If you are expecting to have amazing customer service, a high-end restaurant, and a fancy atmosphere, then this is not a place for you. I hope my review helps your decision. read more

I got my pho it was good nice people. But I like to eat at clean places. There is just so much dust piles of it on the ceiling fan on the light fixtures it's not that hard to wipe things down. If they don't clean where you eat imagine how the kitchen looks. read more

My friend and I had dinner here after visiting family from the hospital. We stumbled upon this place because they were open late and ordered pho and shrimp rolls. The skin on the shrimp rolls were kind of hard but the flavor was okay. The pho was surprisingly pleasant and the portions were good. The location did look a little sketchy at first and there is a carwash attached but the staff were extremely nice and there were plenty of people dining there. The AC wasn't really working but they had evaporative cooling fans set up so it was still cool inside. I wouldn't mind coming again for their pho when I am in Modesto. read more

I'm updating my review. Sadly enough this place satisfies by pho craving. And even sadder is this place is the best place to go for Vietnamese restaurant. It's obvious this place changed owner. I can tell from the quality of the pho. It's more of the quantity. I ordered small #2 and I definitely got small. The old owners weren't that stingy. Also, the laminated menu for the drink (see photo) shows a photo of the drinks with numbers shown but NOTHING shows what the drinks are. Will we return, unfortunately cause they are the "best" in town, unless you drive to Pleasanton, CA, the nearest place to good pho. And even though they have a sign that shows American Express, they said I couldn't pay our meal with it. The Amex sign was for the car wash but they had NO SIGN stating that Amex was for carwash. They were hella nice here and the food tasted exactly like Saigon Bay in Stockton. I'm pretty sure the menus were the same. Probably the same owners. Anyway, everything was good but service was a little slow and the food took a while to come out. The outside is like a car wash so the whole building/area is kinda weird. Bathrooms are also located outside and you need a key which is connected to some old cans lol like you'd find at some rinky dink gas station. read more

Being attached to a carwash may not appeal to some people, but don't let that deter you from enjoying the delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The pho is on point and were generous portions, and not just with the noodles either. The meat portions were well balanced with the dish. One of the best shrimp bbq sweet pork spring rolls I've had and all the dishes appeared and tasted fresh. The servers were authentic as well :D. Barely spoke and understood English, but were polite and helpful and got our order out quick. Best pho I've had in this area. Definitely will come back when craving for good pho when in the area. Hands down some of the best pho I've ever gotten in the valley. Small spot with an attached hand car wash so you know it's good. The workers are always the sweetest. Portions are large and delicious. My go to is the rare steak and meatball pho and add the grilled pork on the side to it. It's like a warm hug to the soul and such a delicious broth. You get a huge portion of add ons brought to you. 10/10 Havnt had anything I wasn't a fan of here. Lover of pho and this place gets my number one spot read more

First I'd like to start by saying I've been a loyal customer for about 5 years. Today the cup was dirty to my soda and instead of just providing fresh sodas for me and my guest they instead had terrible customer service and where arguing about how they'd have to charge me for the other soda when it had already been a long time for the food to come out anyways and the soda was already watered down and they don't do refills. it wasnt about the money it was about the service my cup was dirty and made me uncomfortable and instead of taking care of the customer he argued with me. I just got up and left. not to mention the kitchen does not look clean overall they lost a loyal customer and I just thought everyone should know that they won't take care of you if they don't clean your utensils properly and btw they have roaches. very unfortunate the food did taste good smh ‍ read more

When we were sat and asked what we wanted to drink and I started with my drink first and then I ordered for my daughters, the waitress asked me again what I wanted and I was confused. I told her again and then she went on her way. When it came to ordering, I asked for the chicken wing appetizer, pork chow fun and a large #1 pho with two small bowls, so that we could share. After I ordered, she asked me what size pho I wanted. Our drinks arrived, but my 10-year-olds drink was a lot larger than the other drinks we had ordered, which we weren't expecting. The chicken wings came first. We ordered them mild and I will tell you, those were some of the best chicken wings I've ever had...the sauce is sweet, the wings are crisp, but still moist. Definitely will go back and try this in a medium level. The pork chow fun looked a little bit different than what I was used to, but it tasted pretty good. It came with cabbage, broccoli, cilantro and a few other vegetables. The pho came out and the broth smelled really good and I started adding my sauces, but then realize that we did not receive a plate with any of the vegetables. Being seated upstairs, it's really hard to get the attention of your server who is downstairs. When she finally came upstairs, I told her we did not receive any of the vegetables and she went down and brought us a plate that had 3 slices of jalapeno, a pile of bean sprouts and one lime for the 3 of us. No basil whatsoever. At that point I didn't want to ask for anything else, so I let it go. A different server came upstairs and told us to take our time and had placed the bill on the table and I asked for some to go containers, she brought it promptly and then the other server had come and asked if we needed boxes when the boxes and the bag were already sitting on the corner of the table. We will definitely go back in give it another go and hopefully the service is a little bit better because I would love to give this place a 5 star review.

All their lamb dishes are halal and I did try their two lamb options ( rack of lamb and baghali polo) , they both were amazing. In terms of chicken , I wish I could try their saffron chicken which is very popular dish at this place, but I did try their joojeh kabob which was the only halal option there in terms of chicken. And I admit it was amazing as well, this kabob was cooked to perfection and had all the flavors along with being juicy . They do have a lot of vegetarian options and pescatarian options as well. I have heard that their Salmon is pretty good as well. Overall amazing place to try Mediterranean food if you are in Modesto .
