The place was way too hot. Invest in some fans. Food was ok, too expensive in my opinion. Service was good.

We came here for my daughter's birthday & they even stored her cake for us 5 stars because the food was delicious and quick service The Food was soo delicious !

The best fried Tempura! OMG!! Not all all greasy and the best amount of shrimp plus the Yumm yumm sauce is to die for! Try the diablo roll. $20 but its big and packed the devil himself. So creamy from philly chees and again tempura in it. If your really hungry add the hibachi fries. Jumbo size steak and chicken toped with sauce but not like asada fries the flavor is much diffrent. Overall clean food. Clean restraunt to sit in and safe. Love it and will try it again

Food is very good, I literally live 50mins away and I'll make trips every now and then just for this place.. never had bad experience. Seems like the bad reviews I've read about here most likely come from entitled Karen's who aren't patient and want quality food discounted... smh

Expensive not worth the price! Hibachi could definitely use more flavor it's to bland thank goodness for the sauces!! We tried a little of everything the chicken was dry and I'm pretty sure I only got 4 shrimp in this $70 platter. The sushi was probably my favorite, if I was to come again I'd stick to the sushi. They do have a real good cucumber lemon water I'll give them that.

Staying in town for a couple of days took a walk to find something close to eat came across this location. Wasn't sure from the outside. Didn't look too busy on a weeknight but decided to give it a try. Surprisingly the food was exceptionally good. It's made fresh while you wait the quality was good. Flavoring was delicious. I had the surf and turf and my friend had the fries very filling while I stared at the decor. Seems like a family owned business that's underrated if you get a chance, give it a try.

Great food We love coming to this place, usually is just my husband and I , today we brought the family.

We arrived to this place around 5pm on a Friday. We walked in and the lady at the counter immediately greeted us. You walk up and order at the front, they give you a number and bring the food to your table. The menu is a good size with many options. They had beers and soft drinks only. While we waited for the food, they gave us Chips and Salsa. Now let's get to the food, it came out quickly and was fresh. We ordered the large meal for two, this came with Shrimp, Steak, lobster, chicken, fried rice and garlic noodles. It was such a large amount of food two people at the meal but had leftovers that could have totally fed another person. The restaurants isn't fancy but it was clean and I loved the open kitchen. This is not Benihana, they are not making it in front of you. Definitely yummy

Yummy Yelp find! Was in the area and we needed a break from Thanksgiving leftovers, this place was a perfect find for picky eaters and me! It's like a Benihana minus the chair side entertainment cooking. Not sure what the Mexi part is, I didn't see anything on the menu that was Mexican other than Frida Kahlo on the wall, Mexican sodas (Jarrito's) and agua fresca. You order from the counter and your food is brought out to you. Staff was super friendly and the food is made fresh and brought out quickly. We ordered the #1 LBC which comes with beef, chicken, shrimp, two large scoops of fried rice, garlic noodles, double veggies, and amazingly a lobster tail for $45! Also ordered a side of white rice for $3. It fed three adults, a child and we had leftovers! The meats, shrimp and especially the lobster tail were delicious and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately the sides fell short but did allow the meats to shine through. They could use the help of someone whose cooked in an Asian kitchen with their sides. There's a simple technique with fried rice, after adding the soy or sauce to the rice you need to allow it to drip down to the pan and fry/caramelize before mixing it in with the rice, otherwise it tastes blah. The noodles were dry and tasted only of processed garlic, a little sesame oil and added water or chicken broth would've made it. There's a reason why garlic fries are oily! Love the decor, casual atmosphere and great value, this was definitely a score find, thanks Yelp! We will be back!

The #1. Was delish and we had so much left over after lunch with my son. Staff was friendly. Food arrived quickly

Average food and poor service…read more My friends and I decided to try Okinawa Sushi on a Saturday evening, around 6pm. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, it took quite a long time for us to be sat. When we got to our table, the first thing I noticed was how large the booths were. If you are coming with a large party, you will likely be able to fit at one booth - this definitely makes this place feel more intimate. Despite the menu being very large, I must say, I appreciate that the there are photos of all the sushi rolls. The photos are definitely not the clearest but they help visualize what you are ordering. The menu definitely has a lot going on. There is sushi, hibachi, and all the side orders and bowls that you can imagine. Our table ordered the Crab Rangoons, Fantastic, Alaska, and Lion King Rolls. The rangoons were unfortunately deceiving. They are large, but have hardly any filling. They were almost entirely fried wrapper with quite literally a drop of filling. As for the rolls, they were alright. The texture of rolls was almost mushy. On some of rolls, there was so sauce that it was all you could taste and made the rolls soggy. The flavors were pretty good, but the portions were tiny. I felt the rolls were comparable to glorified grocery store sushi. When the rolls were brought to our table, my friends and I had to hold back our laughs when we saw the tray. There was a little whale figurine that spewed out steam. This novelty was cute but felt a little tacky. The service was somehow worse than the food. Our table ordered three waters for our party of three yet only two came. Our server said she would bring it to us later. Little did we know, this "later" would be at the conclusion of our meal. The one time she came by our table, she asked us if everything was okay. Before we were even able to provide an answer, she just assumed we would say 'yes' and walked away, making no eye contact with us. She literally walked away so quickly we couldn't tell her we were still missing a water. It felt like she was just avoiding any interaction with us. At the end of our meal, it took a long time for the bill to be brought to us. I don't see myself coming back in the future.

Osaka literally never misses…read more My friends and I ordered literally SO much food from Osaka for pickup and every single item was delicious. We got the Crab Puffs, 49er Roll, a few Ichi Ban Maki Rolls, a few Crunchy Munchy Rolls, a Lion King Roll, a Philadelphia Roll, Miso Soup, and some more but you get the point. The food was ready quite promptly for pickup despite the extremely large order and it being a packed Saturday afternoon. Everything was perfect. The food that was hot stayed hot, the chilled dishes stayed cold. Every single thing tasted great. I was especially impressed with the Crab Puffs. They were completely stuffed with the filling (which I definitely can't say the same about from other restaurants)! They provided a ton of chop sticks and soy sauce packets which is much appreciated. The restaurant was busy but the staff were still engaging with everyone. We sat down in a corner booth and were immediately welcomed with requests for drink orders. The place was well lit and decorated with a warm and welcoming feel! We ordered four rolls and chicken katsu. Each roll was better than the next! We couldn't decide which one was our favorite so we scarfed them all down as fast as we could to indulge in the amazing flavors! I would say I leaned most towards the Crunchy Munchy roll! This place really "rolled" its place into our hearts!

Torii's - Where the Room Finds Its Rhythm (and You Find Yours)…read more There is something about Torii's that does not announce itself--it reveals itself. I came in like I usually do... no expectations, just present. And that is when this place tends to meet you halfway. Karaoke here is run by the Tipsy Chiks--Angie with Scotty 2 Hotty--and what they have built isn't just a rotation, it is a flow. You can feel it when the room settles in. No rush, no pressure... just a steady current that lets people be exactly where they are. Scotty 2 Hotty keeps things smooth behind the board. Sound is consistent, fair, and dialed in enough where you can trust the mic. That matters more than people think. It gives you the space to either step forward--or just ease into your song without forcing anything. And Angie brings that balance on the front end--welcoming without hovering. It is a subtle thing, but it sets the tone. You do not feel watched... you feel included. The crowd? A mix. Some regulars, some first-timers, some people just figuring it out. And that is the beauty of it--there is no single "type" here. You can go big, or you can go inward. Both land. I have had nights here where I just sang for myself... and somehow the room came with me anyway. Not loud. Not over the top. Just present. That is a rare thing. Bartenders Alexis and Sherry keep it grounded behind the bar--quick, aware, and real. No fuss, just good energy. Torii's doesn't try to be the loudest room in town. It is something better. It is a place where, if you let it, you will hear yourself a little clearer. I will keep coming back.

The hibachi chef was nice, he did a great job, no complaints there, tipped well. We were here for 4 hours (only 45 min of that eating). Sushi restaurant or a nightclub?…read more My friend and I decided to go for a night out Downtown. When we arrived at about 7:00pm, we were told there would be about an hour wait. Despite this long wait, there were actually quite a few empty tables, but was overall still very busy. When you put yourself on the waitlist, they notify you through text when your table is ready. This gave us ample time to walk around Downtown while we waited. When we received the table-ready text (just short of an hour later), we were sat quickly in a nice U-shaped booth. This seating arrangement felt a bit awkward for a party of two, especially if you are sharing food. The booth is too big to be sitting close enough to reach but too small to not feel awkward. It is perfect for people watching though since the booths face the entire restaurant. By this time, the restaurant was completely packed, with just about every booth, table, and barstool occupied. Our waiter came quickly to take our drink orders. We got a Cucumber Martini and an Espresso Martini. The Cucumber Martini was incredibly light and refreshing. The Espresso Martini was not impressive. It didn't have a strong espresso flavor and was rather watery, but still alright. This is the type of restaurant, that especially on busy nights like this where they don't accept reservations, you should allocate a lot of time for the dinner service for. There is a significant time gap between each time the waiter comes around to take your order. There was probably 15-20 minutes between placing our drink, appetizer, and meal orders. This was not a problem for us, but if you are eating here before making a show at the Gallo Center, this may be something to consider. For our appetizer, we ordered the Salmon Ceviche. It was insanely good. It was subtly spicy and citrusy. The chips that came with it were light and not oily at all. I wish the portion was larger because the two of us swallowed it up in just a few bites. For our entree, we got the Salmon Tataki and Goodi Rolls to split. They were both very good and came out on a lovely platter. They tasted very fresh and high quality. The prices here are on the higher side but is nice for a special occasion or splurge. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often. He was super friendly too. The restaurant was super lively. They were playing club music which was totally a vibe. It looked like this was the spot people hit before going out for the night. I noticed they were accommodating for both small and large parties, serving both rather quickly. I'll be back!
