The staff were all nice, the business was simple and clean! The choices are minimal but everything was delicious! We tried Korean corn dogs (mozz/dog reg half & half. And a hot Cheetos half & half). So fresh and hot! Crunch was perfection! Cheese was melty and tasty! Then we tried the mochi donuts! Strawberry funnel cake, churro, and raspberry. I bought 3 brown sugar boba milk tea without boba. I basically got milk with brown sugar syrup on the bottom, no tea. Also I didn't get any straws. The syrup was stuck on the bottom when I tried to mix it by shaking the cup. I had to open the top and mix it with a spoon instead. read more

Mochinut is super cute, as was to be expected by their online presence. I got there right after they opened to grab a mango mochinut and an ube brown sugar boba! Both came up super fast and service was friendly enough. The ube milk tea was perfect--not too sweet at all. And the mango mochinut was delicious, if a bit unappealing looking because the frosting looks like a melted Kraft single. I have been a frequent customer coming 2-3 a week after today sadly has ended . Today Customer service from taller girl with tattoos and curly hair is terrible with minorities. Not the first time I've experience it but always brushed it off as they have the best Korean corn dogs in 209 area . Food is good always came back , but after 2 bad encounters I won't be returning. I'm African American, my husband is Mexican and just upon walking in she gave us dirty looks . I spoke ordering and she had an attitude whole time , didn't smile once . Every time I've come in the lady who has taken my order sorta rushed me each time. Besides that, the Korean corn dogs are pretty good. We got 2 potato mozzarella, 1 regular corn dog, and 1 potato corn dog. Those were alright. I feel it was missing salt in the batter. We also got donuts: 2 cookies and creme and 2 rasberry. To be honest, the cookies and creme did not taste remotely like cookies and creme ..it was off-putting and sticky. I will say the overall texture of the donut is NOT like traditional donuts. It is sticky and cold when we receive them. The service was fast. It was slightly awkward because the cashier kept walking in and out of the service area for a long period of time. We stopped by yesterday to check this place out, its close to our house but it is tucked away in a little strip mall and forgot this place is there. We ordered 3 mochi donuts, the churro, nutella and strawberry. They were cold but tasted pretty good, the only thing I didn't like is the after taste is very oily, almost even left a oily firm in my mouth. Maybe it was an off day, I wish I would have gotten a boba tea, but I will come back and give them another try and hopefully this time its a better experience and will re-do my review at that time! Got the dozen mochinut but needed 4 mochi's per box which was only 3 boxes of 4 will be used and the cashier didn't mentioned it until the other staff said and stopped the cashier to informed her that it's paid for box. Very unique menu! We tried a half and half potato which is half a corndog breaded with crunch pieces of potato and the other half is a delicious melty cheese stick. Breading could have used a bit more seasoning or salt. They don't have an assortment of drinks but they do serve them in cute can looking cups! They were all friendly and patient when it came to us ordering (had never been to a Mochinut) Everything was freshly made, which I really liked! Depending on what you order is possibly how long the wait time will be. It took about 7-10 minutes for us to receive our order. I still don't go crazy over them because I just get an after taste of oil (IMO). This location os small and service definitely needs a LOT of improvement. We walked in and was told that we have to wait 30 mins for fresh batch...we totally saw donuts sitting on the metal pans in the back. We decided to wait since my party never tried. We ordered an ube drink as well and cashier said it'll come out quicker (big lie) Drink came out like 15 mins later. It was too sweet too. I was a bit hesitant about trying Mochinut because of the many reviews saying the service was slow and staff were rude but my experience was great. I've been wanting to try a Korean corn dog for a while now especially because there's nothing else like it in Modesto. Cute place and the lady working the front was very nice. The Korean corn dog is so good, super crunchy and cheesy. I highly recommend trying this place! We also got a 3 pack of the Mochinut doughnuts, those were also really good! The only 3 things against Mochinut is that the wait was a bit long for no one else being there and the prices for the doughnuts are a bit to expensive in my opinion, it'd be cool if you were able to purchase just one doughnut rather then having to buy a 3 pack. $10 for 3 - $18 for 6 and $34 for a dozen. Definitely a place that you'd come to treat yourself. read more
