What can I say about a dessert truck that serves ice cream? Yes please. Fast friendly service amd an outside street Faire ambiance. Not a very large selection but a delicious one. I usually get the vanilla or strawberry ice cream but my husband Always gets the chocolate. Bring your appetite because these trtreats are huge. Found Conchitas on Instagram looking for Rosca de Reyes for Three Kings Day, which was an annual celebration with my old co-workers....missing my work family! FYI...the address brings you to a store front in an industrial area. I believe they may have opened this up recently. Not sure if they are still running a food truck though. I wanted to find a Rosca that wasn't dry and super moist and boy did their Rosca fit the bill! It was still warm and fresh out of the oven when we picked it up. I ordered the regular Rosca without filling and it wasn't too sweet. My family and I put some cocoa almond spread and apple cider spread (both from Trader Joe's!) and it was delicious. I'd love to try their filled Roscas next year. They have cream, Nutella, cajeta with churro, and strawberry. We also tried their strawberry, pistachio, and Nutella conchas which were all delicious especially with a cup of hot coffee. They also sell day old conchas at 50% off. Just reheat in the microwave and they're as good as the fresh baked ones. Service was also great! The gentleman at the front was friendly and helped answer our questions. I came here because I saw this on ig and a family member recommended it. I went to the location it's kinda of in a weird area. There's a sign where it's at and very pink so hard to miss. There was a small table outside with two chairs. As soon as you walk in you see the menu and you order. The place is small but cute. There are a lot of cool unique options. There are some conchas flavors I had never seen before. We wanted a hot drink but they ran out of those cups. Maybe when they are low they should put an order right away. We got a churro frappe and a mazapan frappe. One Oreo concha, a pink concha, and a churro concha. My iced coffee was good . My husband said the concha's were the best he's ever had in his life. My kids really enjoyed the concha's. Overall good experience and we're already planning our next trip. read more

I saw one of my friend who live closed to Modesto posted this Conchitas bakery. I looked it up and by looking at their Instagram page plus the reviews. It was a must try for me since I love sweet bread. On Saturday, when we were on our way to a family function, we decided to stop by to get some. I want to cut the wait time so I placed an order online but when I showed up, my order wasn't ready. The workers were very nice but some of the flavors I ordered online wasn't available so I ended up picking out whatever that were available at the bakery. Regardless about the online order experience, I was super excited to try the Conchas so were my kids and the hubby. First of all, the Conchas were hard not fresh. It didn't have the wow factor. It didn't melt in your mouth like the ones i had before. The cafe con leche was so hard and stale that I literally couldn't continue to eat it. Other ones that we got were a little softer but it didn't taste like it was freshly bake. It's more like a day or two old. The three stars are for the presentation and the friendly employee. The other day while I was in Modesto, visiting my cousin nearby in the valley I felt hungry and saw this Conchas place on Yelp! Going there I had thought it was going to be a food truck but they do actually have a store front. It is in a little industrial area, just look for their pink sign and store front and your there! Very cute shop with pink walls, they also have some seating as well. I decided to get the Concha Ice Cream Sandwich which was delicious, I got it with their Horchata Ice Cream flavor since I love Horchatas. Would definitely recommend! I also got a mini and regular sized Concha to take home to my family for them to try too! It all came to about $11/12. The girl in the shop was very nice and was able to prepare it quickly! So we were coming back from the reservoir. We were driving through Denair and the wife saw this conchita truck. For those who do not know what a conchita is, it's a Mexican pastry. We decided to stop to give it a try. I was thinking this truck only served conchitas but I was so wrong. They make a stuffed conchita dessert along with other desserts and drinks. The price for a stuffed conchita was a little stiff at $8.00 especially in the town of Denair. We decided to get one to share. We ordered the conchita with the abuelita chocolate ice cream and the condense milk. I had great hopes for this thinking this was a unique dessert. My first bite and I was immediately turned off by the icy ice cream. I was expecting a smooth ice cream but it was icy. If I had to describe the texture, this had the texture of a frost bite ice cream with the ice crystals. No way Jose. The chocolate flavor was spot on but the ice crystals totally turned me off. Could this truck have potential, I say yes but they need to solve the ice cream part. My kids ate the remainder of the conchita. Of course, kids will devour anything with sugar. The loved the conchita. As for me, one bite was enough for me to say No Mas (No more). In the end cool concept but they have some tweaking to do based on my visit. read more

Pricing wise I would say they are a bit expensive especially compared to a local bakery however, these guys are trying to go more for the trendy truck food vibe so it is expected to be pricier. The review is for the service. We never received the food. I placed an online order for pick up the day before Mother's Day. I was charged for the full amount. My father had just passed away. My mother needed some nice distractions. I'm an out-of-towner, so my sister went to pick up the order. The man working told her no such order existed. I spoke to him on the phone after she was turned away. He was not helpful. He said he would ask the owner to contact me. A week later, I followed up because no one contacted me. This time I spoke to a female employee. She told me that there was no record of an order and that they don't manage the online ordering system (popmenu...but there is no way to contact them and they provide the software not service, like a DoorDash). She asked me to confirm the website I used as being theirs. I told her I could do better and would provide her with the email confirmation with their business name and address. She wasn't impressed. She called the owner, who I could hear in the background, but would not let me speak with her. She said she was just an employee and couldn't handle a refund. The owner is protected like she's Pan Dulce Royalty. Then the woman told me that the order had been ready and never picked up! I again explained (yeah, I'm yelling) that it was never prepared. She said "you weren't there and I wasn't there." Giiiiiiirl, my sister was there and I SPOKE to the bakery that day! She told me I was being disrespectful. Long story short, I am now waiting for an email from the owner. The point is not the sub-$20 loss. It's more about trying to plan something special for someone in need and engaging an establishment that puts itself out there as capable of providing the purchased product. I mean, it's Modesto! It's not like there aren't several good pan dulce places (that are cheaper, no less) to patronize! DO NOT ORDER ONLINE unless you like paying money for nothing. read more
