Cheesecake Kitchen is the best bakery for cheesecake in the Central Valley!! I'm such a sucker for cheesecake and during a random Yelp search I cam across them. What really drew me in is that the cheesecakes look homemade. You can definitely tell a homemade cheesecake from a "manufactured" one if you catch my drift. The cheesecake kitchen is in an unassuming shopping center, the shop is small but don't let that fool you because they have PLENTY of cheesecakes to choose from. They had a variety of full-size cheesecakes along with bite-sized cheesecakes, cheesecake "cupcakes" as well as cannoli and regular cake. I've been here a few times, so I have tried 4 different flavors of their cheesecake cupcakes such as White Chocolate Raspberry, Pumpkin, Plain w/Key Lime Topping and Chocolate Chip. I love this size as it allows me to try multiple flavors and they are perfect for a little snack or late-night dessert. My favorite flavors were definitely white chocolate raspberry and pumpkin. The cheesecakes are baked to perfection, they are nice and fluffy and not too dense. The flavors compliment the cheesecake and do not overpower it. The white chocolate raspberry had real raspberry mixed into the cheesecake and was topped with whipped cream and raspberry drizzle, just perfect. The pumpkin cheesecake tasted like they used real and fresh pumpkin and was probably the best pumpkin version that I've had. The customer service here was great. I spoke with the owner about how I travel from the Bay Area for their cheesecakes and I asked about various flavors that are offered. She handed me a menu and told me that they can make just about any flavor with a few days' notice and she also gave me a tip of flavors that they are currently working on. I really appreciated this. The prices here are quite reasonable, the cheesecake cupcakes are no more than $4 each and the full size cheesecakes range from $10-$35 depending on the size and toppings. This will now be my go-to bakery for all of my cheesecake cravings and for the holidays. I highly recommend checking them out. read more

Bought a plain cheesecake for Father's Day. It was very rich and the crust was good. I'm not a fan of cheesecake, but my hubby is and he enjoyed it. The 7 inch was a good amount and we had leftovers. I think we could've gotten away with the 5 inch for the four of us. They have different varieties of cheesecakes and other goodies. I tried the cannoli and it was okay. Sadface. Cannolis are my weakness so when I found out that this place has them I knew I had to make a visit. Oh, there's cheesecake here as well (the business name can tell you that) so I also got a few cheesecake bites to try. Was super excited to chow down on cannolis (got an original one and a chocolate-dipped one) so I took a huge bite into one of them..........why is the cream filling so sweet?!? Turns out that instead of ricotta cream filling, cream cheese frosting was used. At first I thought that this frosting applied only to the chocolate-dipped cannoli, the first cannoli that I tried, but sadly the original cannoli contained the same thing as well. Way too rich and sweet for cannolis. Also, the cannoli shells weren't crispy at all. Huge bummer on the cannolis.....maybe it's my fault that I didn't assume that a cheesecake place has cream-cheese-filled cannolis *shrug.* Okay, how about the cheesecake bites? They must be good here, right?? The cinnamon roll one was too sweet (sugary cheesecake base with the same infamous cream cheese frosting on top), the raspberry swirl one had a little too much raspberry sourness, and the blueberry swirl one had that artificial Betty-Crocker-blueberry-muffin taste to it, which I don't really prefer when it comes to blueberry flavoring. Melodramatic review, I know, but I was really looking forward to trying this place! Two stars overall.....the reason why I added a star is because the lady at the counter was nice lol (I give out 1-star ratings only on very rare occasions when the experience was completely botched). I recently had the opportunity to finally try the plain cheesecake at Cheesecake Kitchen. I've been wanting to try this for quite a long time so you can imagine my excitement when the time came to taking my 1st bite. (I'll admit this 1st bite I experienced was the 1st thing I did when I got back in my car from picking up the cheesecake from Cheesecake Kitchen.) This is store type of place, not a restaurant where you can sit and eat. Well the very 1st thing I noticed unfortunately was that the cheesecake didn't have a graham cracker crust, which is what I assumed it would have, so I was disappointed. I don't know if I would've purchased the cheesecake if I knew ahead of time that the crust wasn't graham cracker but I didn't think of needing to ask this question when I called to ask them to hold a plain cheesecake for me. Oh well it's probably a good thing that I didn't know because ultimately the cheesecake itself was good. I just prefer a graham cracker crust over a shortbread type of crust 100% of the time. Once I had the cheesecake and I was leaving I asked if graham cracker crust was an option and I was told that they only have shortbread and I believe she said customers can either request an Oreo Cookie crust in advance or sometimes they make some with an Oreo crust. That actually may be really good. I think I'd try that if I go back. read more

Cute little place with delicious cheesecake! Walked in during the afternoon and the gentleman came out from inside the kitchen and greeted me. He was very helpful and friendly. Got my little plain cheesecake for a great price and was out within a couple minutes. The only "issue" (if you can even call it that) was the crust. It was a bit sweeter and chewier than I was expecting, but that's just because I'm so used to a graham cracker style crust. But that's just personal preference, it was still very tasty! I called to make sure there were still cannolis left at the end of the day on Saturday and was told he had "all the cannolis you want". Cheesecake Kitchen is a bit far coming from Lathrop, CA. but my curiosity moved me to check it out. I read somewhere that their cheesecake is homemade. New Year's eve day in the morning I called just to check their schedule and sure enough, they were closing sooner than they normally would. The lady told me she was taking orders because they were limited on their cheesecake until closing. She recommended regular cheesecake with real strawberry toppings. She was right. I also bought the chocolate chip toppings cheesecake. The cheesecake was just creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet. It was a balance of creamy cheesecake and sweetness and the bitterness, sweetness of the chocolate just compliment my palate.
