I've Doordashed from Kung Fu sooooo many times but since I was out & about -- I thought "Why not actually stop in?" This location is a bit hidden - you might miss it if you aren't really looking. Parking is easy & shares with the other stores in the plaza. Decor is cute & minimal compared to other boba places. They have a photo-op spot at the corner as soon as you walk in. Available seating is smaller compared to the size of the actual place. They could have more tables/chairs but maybe they just don't get THAT busy. They have a claw-machine for those things everyone is going crazy for --- Labubus. Staff seemed busy behind the counter making drinks & the cashier was friendly. I ordered a large Thai Milk Tea with pudding & boba. It took them less than 5 mins to have my order ready, love that! It was the right amount of sweetness & hit the spot! read more

I'll get to the boba later but as we were sitting there waiting for our drinks we turned around and saw a shelf with a couple boxes of jenga and some things. We were like how cool with this be if we were in with friends- we would've been able to chill and enjoy our drinks and play and laugh. That's top notch for us. The place is very clean and looks new, they look like they might be expanding and opening boxes and things. It is organized and decorated in a fun and energetic color scheme and style. The young man at the counter was very kind and explained two drinks to us that sounded like what we would want based on telling him what we were looking for. They both were a hit. One was brown sugar milk boba.. I believe.. just say that when you go in- they'll know what you're talking about. I wanted a coffee boba and this was the closest thing they had to it and it tasted just as described. Good job there. Then my fiance got the brown sugar boba tea? It was just the right amount of tea, it was soo good! This place truly deserves 5 stars, it's a vibe. You can tell they care about their employees as well which is probably why they are in such a good mood. This place is cute, decorated simply but well. There's a corner for photo ops, tables and chairs, and a game area! Also a claw machine that I got a plushy from! LOTS of choices for milk teas, slushes, etc. staff were friendly and efficient even with only two staff working and a constant never ending stream of customers coming through. read more

I've always had a great experience getting boba teas here. But the last time I went I ordered through Yelp ahead of time. About 15 drinks. It was a disaster, the ink on the cups did print correctly. No one knew which drink was theirs. Supposedly three of the drinks were "Thai tea" but they were milky white, usually Thai teas are a nice dark orange. Some didn't have toppings that were supposed to have toppings. I hope they do better next time. read more

If you know me, you know I love boba/milk tea. With that said, I have certain standards for boba as well. I got the Wintermelon Milk Cap with boba, but made the amateur mistake of not adjusting sweetness and ice. The milk cap was thick and pretty salty, not quiet the same as other places like Happy Lemon. But it worked well with the ultra sweet wintermelon tea. I would definitely get 50% sweet and 50% ice next time. One thing I was impressed about was the boba. I was able to taste honey, and the boba was just the right amount of chewiness/al dente. Review #126 - 2020 After our quick stop over at the lavender field, I was waiting for my girlfriend to contact me about what time & where we were meeting up for a quick meet up, but she flaked out on me so I just decided to grab some drinks with my 3 girls. I called in our drink orders while we were driving in & I was told it would be about 20 minutes before our drinks were ready. I actually called several times, but their phone was busy and the first time they picked up, they put me on hold for a while so I had to keep calling back until their phone was no longer busy. It's usually a good sign when a place you are going to is so popular that their phone never stops ringing. We showed up at around 2:45 PM, but I had to call AAA about my dead car battery issue so I couldn't get in line right away so the line just got longer while I was on the phone. Luckily, our drinks weren't ready until after I handled my issue over the phone so our drinks were still nice and fresh as soon as we got them. We all got our usuals. My longan jujube was tasty even though it didn't have the longan pieces. My niece said her Cocoa Cream Wow wasn't as good as the Stockton location, but 1 out of 6 is still a better odd than most locations. I usually swing by Kung Fu Tea whenever I'm in town. The drinks are usually decent. My latest visit left much to be desired. I ordered the King Fu Milk Tea and Rosehip Milk Tea. The Rosehip milk tea tasted so artificial, I really regretted ordering it. What bothered me was the long wait to get my drinks. As I waited, I watched the staff work on orders placed after mine, despite the fact that my drinks were already mixed at the mixer machine and just needed to be sealed. I waited over 20 mins total, and 10 mins of my wait time was just staring at my already completed drinks at the mixer machine while both staff members kept working on all the other orders after mine. It would have been nice if she took the 1-2 mins to seal my drink so that I could be on my way. If the drinks tasted decent, I wouldn't have minded the wait, but the boba was hard and the drinks tasted too artificial. I was a dedicated customer but will have to find a new boba spot the next time I'm in Modesto. read more

I always get their honey oolong milk tea with extra boba and my SO orders a lychee punch with lychee jelly or mango jelly.
