This is my favorite coffee shop in Modesto, always good service and great coffee. Way better than the bigger chain coffee shops.

I visited this place a few days back and I requested two extra shots. I'm not sure if I actually received my shots because the coffee was so sweet. Also, it seems like there are little girls working there who might not be fully trained, and it's only one person, which has taken her about ten minutes to take my order. I cannot believe I have never written a review for Giacomo's Espresso. I have been coming here for many, many years and loved it every time. I almost always have a small Mocha Chill, no whipped cream, often with an extra shot. The service is spot on each and every time, love that they ask me for my loyalty card (which they dutifully stamp and initial). The barista is always friendly, the drink done exactly right, and the experience worth repeating. Way back in the day they used to give me the empty metal coffee bean cans which I would take to my classroom for demonstrations (we used atmospheric pressure to crush them much to the delight of my middle schoolers. read more

I wish I would have gone here more when I lived in town. I only discovered it a year or two before pandemic and I love it. Whenever in town I stop by once or twice. Today, I stopped by this morning and the girl at the window was one of the nicest workers. today's drink special was made so perfect....As the drinks can be hit or miss depending on what barista makes it... but I still love a good local coffee shop and always am down to try something new from them. I love that they do flavored REAL whip cream. So glad they opened new locations but I think by far my favorite is the one on scenic. read more

I am so sad that they aren't on DASHpass on DoorDash anymore. I guess it's a good thing - it'll make my wallet happier. lol. Whenever I am out & about or getting my car washed at Vintage Car Wash - I always grab an Iced Giacomocha. Bomb dotcom! I get it blended if I want to mix it up. If you like a sweeter mocha, this drink would be perfect for you. Definitely give it a try. They have a loyalty card that I am almost to the end of so I can get a free drink - EKKK! If you're like me & have a ton of loyalty cards with 1 stamp on them - let them know, they will happily combine them to one card. Ordered a Turkey sandwich on sourdough bread while waiting for my work van to be hand washed at Vintage Car Wash (they are located inside). The bread was soft and plenty of Turkey, with lettuce tomato & onions. Better than what I thought it would be inside a car wash. It's been years since I've been here and I guess I remember why...the service wasn't very friendly and my coffee wasn't very hot. I don't think I've ever had a problem with coffee not being hot enough. Usually I have to wait a bit before sipping not here. And whatever concoction I tried was waaaaaay too sweet. I couldn't drink it. Kinda close to my house but there are better options so I doubt I'll go again. Or at least not anytime soon. I'll try maybe in 6 months. Not impressed and the chick at the window was not friendly or bouncy. She needed a couple shots of caffeine and joy. Don't have a job working with the public if you hate people. I love their drinks! I go every time I want coffee! They are my first choice every time. I love the workers as well. Wonderful service and kind people. It's the cutest little shop too! Love the outside paint and how small it is. I love the drive through having 2 at one. The only one thing I can say is I hate that I can't see the prices before ordering. went to the Oakdale Road location this morning and was charged $8.50 for a 24oz iced latte (sf & almond milk), yes i understand the milk substitute charge but when i had asked the cashier about the total price and mentioned i usually don't pay over $7.50 for a drink she replied "prices increased 25¢ recently"... right but that's still not the equivalent difference! i hate to assume the worst of people but i feel like the employee gave herself a tip when she did not ask me! which how ironic she was wearing a "coffee + jesus" shirt have been coming drinking this stuff for years it's seriously the best! bad cashier experience :( read more

First of all, WOW. Like legit ness wow. Customer service: Superb. Young lady at the register was so helpful especially with this being my first time ever coming here as I'm waiting for my car to be cleaned and detailed. Second young lady was super sweet and brings out your food to you. Amazing. Very personal if you want to look at it that way Food: Amazing. No, really! I ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich with Swiss cheese and it's so good. Bacon super crispy, the flavors are . I also ordered a mango smoothie with ice cream base and ＷＯＷ. It's so good T-T 10 out of 10 for food Atmosphere: Everyone seems so nice overall. The area is super clean and not noisy. Very café feel to it. Oh! And there's a little boutique inside so yeah! I've come here now 9 times. (I'm almost done with that stamp card!) The espresso quality is top notch I've had an Americano from here I've had a mocha I've had a café latte hot and iced. The service has always been great never rude nor rushed. I am impressed by the speed I which they make my coffee as it's always consistent. One thing only that I feel is important in a good business is upkeep in the quality of training. There was an instance where I ordered my regular Americano and this time around the barista added cream to it. I was shocked when I received the drink I realized it was made incorrectly I simply asked if there was sugar and she stated no. I didn't want to correct them as I was in a rush myself so I took the L however still a good drink. Was it her fault? No. Maybe just not trained correctly. The following day I go and the same barista assists me and before completing my order I asked if the Americano was black or if it came with cream , she stated that the Americano comes with cream. I am not in the business of correcting my baristas so I simply asked her to omit the cream. This is the one and only example. Big deal to ME? NO. To a more impatient and argumentative individual which we all know exists out there, YES. Overall love this coffee and won't go anywhere else. Cheers. read more

Came for the first time and not coming back anytime soon! Ordered two coffees and ended up waiting over 20 minutes. We noticed the employees not doing anything and went up to the counter to ask about our order only to find out it was never even started They didn't seem busy, and when the employee asked his coworker about the order her excuse was that the order receipt never printed... So she remembered that we did indeed order something but never bothered to make or ask about our order? she even said "yeah... I tried printing it like three times.."???? Ended up asking for our refund and leavening. Save y'all's money and go to Caffitinos or Lucille's cause I could not handle this buffoonery... This was the vintage car wash location! read more

This is the only place I will buy coffees from. I've been coming here since 2004 and plan on coming back for more years to come. Oh sure, I've tried Starbucks and it is just not my cup of coffee. At Giacomo's they have many different flavors and they even have flavored fresh whipped cream. My favorite drink is the crème de menthe mocha chill...it taste just like the Girl Scout thin mint cookies. My family gets at least one coffee a week here...sometimes they will ask if I can swing by while out running errands. I just cannot say no to Giacomo's. So, if you are looking for a great coffee with great service than you are looking for Giacomo's. Oh and they have a rewards program that for every coffee you buy you get a stamp on your card and then when your card fills up you get $5 off your next purchase. read more

Every week I say I have a new favorite coffee shop, so this week this is it!! This cute little drive thru coffee shop is SOLID af for your little caffeine fix. Menu offered a great selection from traditional coffee drinks, to some specialties. There isn't really a store front where you can sit(obv), but it did look clean and there was workers up keeping the parking lot. There is two sides to the drive thru and when we went on a weekday afternoon, it wasn't that busy. We opted for an oat latte, Nutty Roman Blended, and Sicilian Sunrise yogurt based. My entire party loved the drinks including I!! Nutty Roman was a creamy, (hazel?)nutty, sweet iced drink that not only wakes you up, but satisfies that sweet craving we get at 4pm. Sicilian Sunrise was sooooo goooooood. I don't think it had any caffeine or coffee in it, but it was creamy, fruity, not tart at all and I was pleasantly surprised! Great drink for non caffeinated drink lovers. But listen. The oat milk latte. Wow. I mean you can't really get it wrong, but they got it more than right. It was absolutely delicious and invigorating. I felt alive drinking that latte. The espresso literally lives rent free in my brain. It wasn't overly creamy, the balance was muah immaculate, temperature was perfffffeeeeect. The workers were incredibly inviting and kind. Shoutout to our barista! I don't know their name, but they had short hair and wore a red or orange jacket and worked very quick. This morning I went to my usual spot on scenic, the young lady who was very nice had to do my 2 coffee drinks 3 times! It was a hot decaf vanilla latte and an ice cappuccino, 12 and 16oz respectively; not a complicated order, the 1st time she messed up, she apologized and mumbled something, not sure what she said, 2nd time she completely switched my drinks, I brought my own cups so it should've been an easy way to identify, 3rd time, her and her co-worker both said I needed to be clear the next time I order a cappuccino. I mean I'm no coffee expert and I don't work at Starbucks or any other coffee place; and I would've loved to have been educated and explained the difference of a cappuccino and a latte instead of being told next time give us an order we can understand? So disappointing, she even forgot to give me the green card, and made her laugh because I made a joke of it.
