Always have to make a pit stop when we are in Modesto. Great coffees and friendly baristas at this location i know a few that can be bit rude, but not all are like that folks!

My barista Lauren gives a great experience everytime. This time she made me an energy concoction with a drink called Lotus. I am like sure go for it. I know she knows what's best for me. I am sure she'll know what's best for you too. It's a drive thru but a helluva great experience.

    Sweet Señorita
    Eilonwy W.

The schtick here is sugary coffee drinks or energy-amped coffee drinks, served by hot young women dressed to stay cool. I have no idea how the underlying coffee tastes, because the coffee is not the point here. As sugary coffee drinks go, I'd give the Sweet Señorita an A. The flavors were balanced; it was sweet without grabbing me by the tonsils. The staff is lovely in both the physical and personality senses of the word.

    Large Iced matcha tea

So I've driven by this place so many times. It didn't interest me very much. I saw a FB ad pop up and it got my attention: it said they had matcha. So I went today and was not disappointed. I only waited a few minutes to be served. The girl that helped me was so nice and helpful. Cute outfit too! I ordered a large iced matcha tea, light ice and I was impressed. Waaay better than Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts matcha. It was $7 and change for a large plus I tipped. It's about $1-$1.50 more than I'd like to pay but it was worth it. To come here bi-weekly would be a nice treat. I did suggest adding matcha specifically to menu online as well, as it's only shown in a post. More people would know it's available then. Thank you! I'll be returning!

Barista that makes delicious mochas, thank you

It all began as Plantation Coffee Company, a roastery & full service cafe. They closed the cafe part of the business long ago, & today operate as wholesale distributors. Where can you sample some Milone coffee? Several local businesses carry them...Sabatino's, Michael's Pizza, Papapavlo's, Velvet Creamery, & Picasso's, just to name a few. I was particularly impressed to learn that the coffee I had at Sabatino's, which I loved, was just one end of a surprisingly broad & prolific spectrum. From Brazilian roast to Fogburner, there's a roast for every palate. And after sampling just 2 of their roasts, it was easy to surmise that any coffee lover will find a Milone roast that he or she loves. Not a business owner? No problem. You can come in & purchase beans by the pound. But remember that this isn't a full service cafe. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott during my most recent visit. Scott knows everything about coffee. He's basically a walking & talking coffee encyclopedia. He is also beyond personable. A gem. This is the best coffee in Modesto. 5 stars.

I probably said "Awww, that's cute!" multiple times to myself :) As soon as you walk in - they have baked goods on the shelves and lining the order counter. They have super adorbs decorations all over, it helped to keep me occupied while waiting in line. Friendly staff made it easy to ask questions when ordering - I asked what Valentine's drink was the most popular. They said that the Cupid's Arrow Latte was a hit so of course, I went with that as my drink of the day. It was super yums! I only went in for a drink but when looking at their heart cakes, I couldn't help myself - they were sooooo cute & how can I resist a mini heart shaped cake? So I nabbed one to share with my husband (& by share, I mean he takes a bite and I eat the rest, lol) -- the cake was scrumptious. They do custom cakes - I took a picture of the flavor/filling options. After reading the other reviews, it looks like I need to try out their non-sweet treats so I'll definitely be back to give that a try & maybe pick up another mini cake or two ;)

A cool touch was that they actually sprinkle Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal on top. We also grabbed a cookie that ended up being a great surprise. I took it home and had it the next morning. After microwaving it for about 15 seconds, a marshmallow in the center puffed up -- I didn't even know it was in there. Really cool. The coffee is a little pricey compared to a similar cup of coffee elsewhere, and they close at 3 PM, but overall it was a great visit. When I first went to Con Azucar around last year, the food, drinks, and service were actually…read morereally good. Everything was timely, professional, and enjoyable. Unfortunately, it seems like the quality of the service has really deteriorated over the past year. I went in on Sunday, May 10, 2026 around 7:30 PM just wanting to order two drinks and a sandwich. There were already customers ahead of me, and it took over 10 minutes just for them to finish taking those orders. By the time I finally got to the register and tried to order, I was told they couldn't make the sandwich because they had already turned off the stove. That honestly made no sense to me. If the restaurant is still open and there are customers still inside waiting to order, it should be expected that people are going to order food and drinks because that is literally the point of the restaurant. What made it worse is that they never announced any kind of "last call" or warned customers that the kitchen was shutting down. That felt really unprofessional and not something I experienced there before. We still ordered two drinks: an horchata and a chai with oat milk. The horchata was fine, but the chai was made incorrectly with almond milk instead of oat milk, and it tasted extremely bitter and bad. Since it was so close to closing time by then, we couldn't realistically go back in to have it corrected. So overall, we drove out there expecting food and drinks, and ended up with no sandwich, one decent drink, and one bad drink that was made incorrectly. It feels like the professionalism and customer service have gone downhill. In my opinion, it shouldn't matter what time customers come in as long as the business is still open because the service and quality should remain consistent. Response to owner: Thank you for the response and for offering to replace the drink. I do appreciate that. However, I still feel like the situation could have been handled much better. Before even coming into the café, I was trying to place the exact sandwich and drink order through DoorDash and the app was still allowing the order to go through. Because of that, there was no indication anywhere that hot food orders had already stopped for the night. If ovens are routinely shut down early, I really think customers should be clearly informed either online, on DoorDash, or with an announcement inside the café. I also do not necessarily agree that this is standard across cafés. Other places that serve sandwiches and drinks, like Panera, still prepare food orders even 30 minutes to an hour before closing as long as they are still open. From a customer perspective, if a business is open and accepting orders, it is reasonable to expect the menu items being advertised are still available unless stated otherwise. My main frustration was not just the sandwich itself, but the overall experience. We waited in line for quite a while, were not informed ahead of time that food service had ended, and then one of the drinks was also made incorrectly. It just made the whole visit feel disorganized and disappointing compared to the good experiences I had there previously. I do appreciate the response and willingness to make things right, but I still think clearer communication and more consistency in service would help avoid situations like this for future customers.
