First time here and the matcha was perfect. It wasn't too sweet even though I ordered it exactly as it comes. It's definitely a high grade matcha. I sampled the chai tea which was good too and the macarons are very moist. I enjoyed every flavor except for the rose, that one is too floral tasting. Every other flavor was great, especially the chocolate one because it was fudgey. Fast service with a clean quiet dining area. (:
The service is always very quick and drinks are yummy. I love that they change their decor based on the holiday. I enjoyed their matcha royale with almond milk, & strawberry.
Did a catering order from this location for my party and they were a huge hit! Drinks were made fresh and delicious and right on time for pick up! Definitely come check them out if you're in the area!
Quick friendly service in a large space with ample seating. We tried the Caramel Cream w Boba & Signature Iced Chai w Boba. The drinks were tasty and the boba was surprisingly fresh!
This place has been a weekly boba stop for me for the last 8 months! I willingly make the 20-25 minute commute from Turlock to come because it is just that good. I've tried a large selection of drinks: matcha, chai, black milk teas, taro, tangy teas without milk, and coffee. The boba, tea, and coffee are fresh and made to order. It is easily the best boba tea spot in the county. The staff is consistently kind and helpful. Their suggestions have always been My husband and I have started doing our weekly planning session here. The ambiance is chill and cozy. I couldn't recommend this place more!

I used to come here all the time and really enjoyed their boba, especially with coconut milk. But recently, they told me they no longer substitute 2% milk for coconut milk. When I asked about it, the "manager" was very rude and dismissive, saying she couldn't make the change without any real explanation. I don't understand why -- I'm a paying customer and have ordered it this way many times before. To make things worse, they wouldn't even let me use the restroom while I was there. Overall, the service has really gone downhill. It's disappointing because I used to really like this place, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be coming back.

This is the one AND only Teaspoon within Stanislaus County (yes, they're opening one in Tracy soon.... But until then). Service: 5/5 (probably even more at this point)... I've been coming to this specific location for regular boba runs, cup-sleeve events... and I've gotta say, they treat their customers right. The owner, Quinn, is very friendly and helpful, and she REALLY does make the job feel like it's a chill time not only for herself but also for the customers. She is the "definition" of making it RIGHT for her patronsas. Boba: 5/5 Their boba is top-notch... sourced from the finest and their tea-leaves are ACTUALLY real! Did you know that for cup sleeve events, they make special drinks on top of the actual drinks that they sell? That's like a WIN WIN right there! Awesome marketing and they're very active on their Instagram :) Environment: 4/5 Modesto is known for a lot of speeding cars... but that does not give Modesto residents an excuse to speed in the plaza. They do have an In N Out nearby which results in making it harder for other customers who want to get boba... a little harder than usual. Overall, a 10/10 everytime I come visit! I am certainly no stranger to Teaspoon and am happy to see a familiar boba spot in Modesto. It definitely opens up my options when my thirst needs to be quenched. It is easy to find located in a non busy plaza with plenty of parking. The establishment is upkept and clean. You have the option of ordering from the kiosk or with one of the workers. It's pretty spacious inside and had plenty of seating. It wasn't too busy and drinks were made quickly. Workers seemed friendly and had a smile. I ordered the matcha strawberry latte with crystal boba and couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was but their drink was the best that I've had at any Teaspoons. It was more concentrated and flavorful.
Had to update my review after trying a 0% sugar drink. I got a custom-made lemonade with guava and passion fruit. The fruit flavors were perfectly tart and sweet on their own making the lemonade packed with flavor! Teaspoon's staff was super helpful with picking flavor combinations for my indecisive self. After ordering, my drink came out quickly.
I got the house tea with 25% sweetness with grass jelly and strawberry sangria with 25% sweetness. I don't think I would get the house tea again, there's not much of a tea flavor, it's very faint. The strawberry sangria is alright, 25% sweetness is perfect because the drink is sweeter by the strawberry puree and aloe. However, I rated this place pretty highly because it's a very nice place to study/work with ample outlets, and tables. (3 sets of outlets along the booth seating) Most people take the tea to go it looks like, so there were plenty of empty tables at 1pm on a Sunday.
Finally! Another boba shop to add on the lineup that the Modesto 209 lacks of. Not a lot of "big boba chains" in the area so it is nice to see something that has a good reputation from its other locations. I came on Grand Opening day and saw a line coming outside the door. I arrived late but they had raffles, free samples, giveaways, and other prizes. On top of that, it was BOGO all drinks! A promotion that allows you to explore the menu without making a big dent to your bank. The line moved very slow, which was expected. They were backed up on large orders and still getting the hang of the system. Kudos to the staff for working diligently and working their best to keep up with the demand. They had a decent amount of seating, and the place was vibrant with the decorations and flooring. I ordered the House Milk Tea, Liquid Gold, Creamy Jasmine, and the Matcha Royale. All of the drinks were very tasty and had a great tea fragrance upon taste. Perfect ratio of sweetness and ice (as I requested) and not overpowering with the milk.
Stopped by for a quick pick-me-up and was pleasantly surprised!! Service was super quick and the workers were nice. I got a strawberry colada and it was so refreshing considering how it's been a bit hotter recently. I love that they also have big tables with outlets! it's perfect for studying but I'll probably be back to do some journaling here!! c: read more

When I tell you this was the best customer service I've ever had in my life. I walked into to Quynh (I hope it spelled it right) smiling at me while cleaning up the counter from a previous order.She proceeded to give me time to look over the menu and then started asking all the right questions at the right time. "Have you been to teaspoon before?" "Do you know how or menu works?" Would you like a sample?" Actually I would like a sample. She gave me a Lychee's breeze and it was a very refreshing flavor. I love things that surprise my taste buds. For background I love combinations that are unexpected and dangerously good. We started talking about the flavor profiles and she leads us into a break down on the differences between flavors of each drink on each row at perfect pace. You could tell she fully believes that you will like something. She has no doubt that everyone will like something on the menu and she is right! I ended up taking her suggestion (yes if you give her what you're leaning towards and why ,she will set you on the correct drink). I ended up ordering a Vietnamese Frappé. If you like a melting of flavors in your mouth then definitely try that one. The first sip starts off with bold and drop into a bitter coffee taste, but by the time you register it it's gone, and you then get a creamery version of coffee and then by the time you have those melding together your hit with the sea salt cream. It all comes together like a beautiful melody of flavors in your mouth. It's got changing flavors and comfort level way of filling you up. I had energy ALLLL day from it. I'm craving it as I'm writing it. I am not even going to lie. If I could doordash it to me cities away I would. I really would. read more

Very cute. You can self order from the little IPad they have or order in line. Everything seemed to be organic, which was cool. So many fun drinks. The mistake I made was opting for the crystal boba thinking it was going to be good. I have to say worst decision ever. The flavor was terrible and it had a bad texture. The drink was great tho. I just would not choose that over regular boba ever again. We tried their macarons and it was great. If you need to use the restroom you'll have to ask an employee for the keys. read more

Yay!! I'm excited that I finally got to try the newest Teaspoon in Modesto. I've had it before in the Bay Area but this location is good! I got the silky strawberry with substitution with oat milk and I genuinely enjoyed it. I thought the oat milk made the drink creamy and the boba was warm and chewy. They have a self order machine if lines get too big and the decor had a nice purply cool tone floral theme too. I can't wait to try other flavors :) read more

Everything on the menu looks delicious... i ordered the Grasshopper which is a refreshing Lychee green tea with cucumber juice to top it off (added lychee jellies too)... so yummy and not too sweet at all! The tea is decent, especially considering the area. Modesto isn't quite the tea hub, but this one is at the top. The milk tea can occasionally fall into the "cereal/sugar milk" flavor that some teas I've had fall victim to. They're pretty solid most of the time at least, just at 75% sweetness. read more

First time here and we really enjoyed the selection. We tried the Thai Tea and the Silky Mango. The teas come in one size, but the staff was kind enough to split the Silky Mango into two so my child could have some, which I really appreciated. We'll definitely be back! read more

Wow, I really loved their seasonal peppermint matcha, they put actual candy cane on top of the drink and it had an excellent flavor. I usually come here and get the strawberry matcha royale (and the layer of marmalade is perfect and generous) but I've also tried and enjoyed the Guava Sunset, Lychee on Lychee, the Mango on Fire smoothie, and the Vietnamese Coffee. Nothing has disappointed me from here. My parents have also came here and liked their mango smoothies in previous summers as they are super picky and avoid all caffeinated drinks. However this time when I went for some matcha, my mom decided to try their sea salt caramel hot chocolate. She said that she felt like her hot chocolate was actually worth the price and that other spots tend to deliver a mediocre hot chocolate that is overcharged and you can tell is mix only. I would advise anyone debating going to Teaspoon to try a drink because everything is made well and as one of my favorite spots in Modesto for boba or drinks (Modesto has a lot of good boba spots but matcha is harder to find), it was so sad reading the news article about them being robbed on Christmas. The staff are incredibly kind and hard working and I want the location to be able to last. The menu is creative, fun, and tasty. read more

To my surprise, the place was packed! However, that was due to there being a kpop event there. It made sense because the ratings aren't all that great. The lady behind the counter was polite. The drinks came out quick. The drinks looked interesting. We ordered a thai tea and the silky mango. The drinks were below average in taste. They tasted watered down and had no taste to them other than the honey boba. I'd seriously rather go to a Quicklys. We were disappointed because the drinks did look really delicious on the advertisement with fun names. read more

I've been coming to this boba shop for a while now, and I can confidently say they have the best boba in Modesto. Their House Milk Tea with boba is my go-to drink, and it never disappoints. The boba is always cooked to perfection--soft, chewy, and fresh. You can tell they take pride in their quality because the whole store smells amazing with that sweet, freshly cooked boba aroma. One of the things I love most is the ability to customize the sweetness level of almost all their drinks. Whether you like your tea sweet or just lightly flavored, they've got you covered. It was a very nice and chill environment. The staff was very attentive and kind. Since Teaspoon is new to the Modesto area, staff were making sure they were helping the customers order or consider which drink to customize. Lastly, our orders were great! We love going to Teaspoon already in the Bay Area so our go to is Silky Mango and it was delicious! They even added more boba than expected! read more

Safe to say I found my new tea spot! My family and I got the jasmine cream, the Thai tea, the guava, and the grasshopper and they were all great. It appears that they use natural ingredients and are geared more toward "healthy", which is nice to find in a boba place. They had samples to try while you were waiting.
