They also have games to play like Jenga and Mancala to play while you wait/drink your teas. Only knockdown is the location. No fault of theirs but this parking lot has been a nightmare since back when the shopping center first open with Good Guys. Very narrow driveways. If a person doesn't pull completely into their parking stall behind you, it is difficult to get out. I called the store later and they said they will issue me the refund. Sure enough, they did not issue me the refund so I opened a dispute with my credit card company. Today, I got an email from level up that "...We had to pause your account..." I relied back to clarified the situation and the customer service agency responded that: "Unfortunately, opening a formal dispute with a third party arbitrator (such as issuing a chargeback through your card's issuer) means that we must undergo a mandatory arbitration process, during which your account will not be available for new purchases. This is often a lengthy process (weeks to months) that includes multiple parties outside of LevelUp, but can be expedited by contacting your card issuer to drop the dispute. Once we have received an update from your card issuer that the dispute has been dropped, we will be back in touch to let you know that your account has been reactivated for use. Got the Kung Fu Milk Tea with boba @ less ice and 30% sweetness. For their soft opening, the boba was nice and chewy!!! Sweetness was still a bit too sweet for me and I have tried this place before just recently in Texas. I wanted to try the pudding; unfortunately, there was none made yet sadly. I've been here a handful of times. It's very conveniently located on the way back to the freeway from work and also right next door to one of my favorite stores, Guitar Center. The boba here is so tasty. I make sure to bring my stamp card so I can get my free one eventually. This place has a nice atmosphere, it's very clean from what I see, the staff has always been very friendly and the service is fast. I've been to Kung Fu Tea before as they're all over the U.S. This location in Modesto which just opened- was very clean inside. We ordered 3 honey green teas with aloe jelly and herbal jelly. Unfortunately, they didn't have green tea available so we opted for oolong. It was honestly quite disappointing, it lacked flavor. This establishment has become a huge chain and I feel like the quality has gone down. There are a ton of local boba and tea spots- just mostly in LA or the Bay Area, such as happy lemon. I ordered at noon today. The order said it would be ready by 12:06pm. I drove by and went into the store. There were roughly 10 people in line. I ended up getting my drink at 12:15pm, but this is after everyone in line received their orders and left (that includes all of the people that ordered after I arrived). Tea: Usually I get tea infused with fruit flavors. I almost never get milk tea, so I go by how fresh the tea tastes, how good the toppings are, and packaging/presentation. I alternate tea places a lot. Use to exclusively go to T4 then started going to Quicklys. 98, and Sunset; I have tried most of the big spots in Modesto. Right now this is my favorite place. I get the Lychee Punch and it has fresh pieces of lychee in it (or canned, not sure). Location: This place has easy parking, the only time this is hard to get into is during big Christmas shopping days like black friday and what not. It is a big hard turning in from Mchenry or back going to Standiford because the light is right there. Price: For the price of boba, I feel like it's too much. I usually get lychee punch w/ lychee jelly (lower sugar) and large. This comes out to around 5.40$ which is just too much. At most for boba I like to spend around 4.50$. This is the only reason I am knocking a star off. Bathroom: Pretty nice, bathroom. Paper is always stocked. Nothing industrial, feels like a home bathroom. read more
