I was super excited to try this place after a friend in another state recommended. I waited for weeks for them to start serving the Fruits Basket drinks with the limited edition sticker, which started today. They handed me my drink, and I had to ask for the sticker, but she stammered and said they just ran out. It's a bit past noon on the very first day and it was empty in there! My "Kyo's Mango Madness" tastes like a watery, bitter orange; definitely not the mango I craved -- and at $5 per regular-sized drink for something not very good. I am really upset. I shouldn't have given a tip... read more

My kids have discovered and now crave Boba tea, and this place delivers delicious variety. It has a very comfortable atmosphere and nice places to sit. They also have games to play like Jenga and Mancala to play while you wait/drink your teas. Only knockdown is the location. No fault of theirs but this parking lot has been a nightmare since back when the shopping center first open with Good Guys. Very narrow driveways. If a person doesn't pull completely into their parking stall behind you, it is difficult to get out. Not to mention it is just difficult to even get into the parking lot if you are southbound on McHenry Ave. My kids love the WowMilk with Oreo and the Oreo slush. I enjoy the Taro Milk tea, the Taro slush with Oreos, and their Thai milk tea. read more

Our favorite boba spot in town! The Kung fu milk tea with boba and taro milk tea are our family favorites!

All I can say is that I've been to every boba tea place in this area and this place, hands down, IS THE BEST!!! Not only do they make amazing flavored teas, but they also explain the different flavors to you. I keep coming back every week!! Lol!! read more

I tried the matcha drink once with a milk cap and it was good, I would give it an 8. Today I tried the strawberry milk slush and it was okay, I'd give it a 7. If I were to come back I would probably try their Thai tea with boba! read more

Great tea and variety. The only thing I can point out for the lack of a star is the intermittent of bad sealing of the lids... causing tea to spill out. read more

The APPS sucks. A month ago, I placed a order through the APP. Then I went to the store to pick up at the designated pick up time. Guess what? The store was closed! I called the store later and they said they will issue me the refund. Sure enough, they did not issue me the refund so I opened a dispute with my credit card company. Today, I got an email from level up that "...We had to pause your account..." I relied back to clarified the situation and the customer service agency responded that: "Unfortunately, opening a formal dispute with a third party arbitrator (such as issuing a chargeback through your card's issuer) means that we must undergo a mandatory arbitration process, during which your account will not be available for new purchases. This is often a lengthy process (weeks to months) that includes multiple parties outside of LevelUp, but can be expedited by contacting your card issuer to drop the dispute. Once we have received an update from your card issuer that the dispute has been dropped, we will be back in touch to let you know that your account has been reactivated for use. If the dispute has been dropped and the transaction in question has not been refunded at that time, please let us know and we'd be happy to assist with getting it refunded for you." In summary, they are basically threatening me to drop the dispute or forget about my account. Well! guess what! I am going to go to other boba places next time! read more

Best boba place in town! I love thier brown sugar milk tea! The drinks are ready very quickly. Great customer service.

The drinks are very good but the couple times I went the customer service was bad and today and the lid wasn't on all the way and exploded. We went back to get a new drink and some new napkins but they didn't even try to refund and were very rude about us going back in there. Drinks good but customer service is not. Maybe will not be coming for a while. read more

Got the Kung Fu Milk Tea with boba @ less ice and 30% sweetness. For their soft opening, the boba was nice and chewy!!! Sweetness was still a bit too sweet for me and I have tried this place before just recently in Texas. I wanted to try the pudding; unfortunately, there was none made yet sadly. Overall, not bad and I'm excited that there is a better boba place in town. UPDATE: I finally tried their pudding and, sadly, hard pass for me. I prefer iTea's pudding. Drinks are still good!!! It was definitely less sweet for 30%, which is what I want. I hope consistency stays since T4 couldn't. read more

Super clean Boba shop with plenty of seating and a great spot for social media pics if that's your thing. Quick and friendly service and a great place to hangout in Modesto. Warning: It does smell like incense throughout the shop, at least it did when I stopped in so if you're headache prone to smells you may want to take yours to go. read more

I've been here a handful of times. It's very conveniently located on the way back to the freeway from work and also right next door to one of my favorite stores, Guitar Center. The boba here is so tasty. I make sure to bring my stamp card so I can get my free one eventually. This place has a nice atmosphere, it's very clean from what I see, the staff has always been very friendly and the service is fast. Before the pandemic, it was a cool place to come hangout and play some board games while you sip your tea. I've always had great experience whenever I come here. Thumbs up. read more

Good service and friendly services as well. Will definitely come back here. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

I've been to Kung Fu Tea before as they're all over the U.S. This location in Modesto which just opened- was very clean inside. We ordered 3 honey green teas with aloe jelly and herbal jelly. Unfortunately, they didn't have green tea available so we opted for oolong. It was honestly quite disappointing, it lacked flavor. This establishment has become a huge chain and I feel like the quality has gone down. There are a ton of local boba and tea spots- just mostly in LA or the Bay Area, such as happy lemon. I would prefer one of those instead if we were closer! read more

I was in the area and saw the sign. I like milk teas and boba so I decided to give the place a try. I did check the reviews on Yelp and they were decent. Service was quick but the cashier misheard me and my mom did not get the drink she wanted. I wondered why all my 3 different drinks all looked the same. I checked the receipt and noticed the drink my mom wanted was not on there. All 3 drinks tasted artificially the same. I could have used more ice in the drinks too. I didn't like any of the 3 drinks because of the flavor I experienced. read more

Love taking my kids here. I tried 4 other places and by far Kung Fu Tea have the best tapioca pearl/boba. The place is clean. Drinks can be a bit pricey, but the quality of the drinks is always consistent. Staff are very professional and friendly. I always go for the taro or matcha red bean slush with boba. The rewards program is worth signing up for. The only complaint I have is that they have tight parking spaces. read more

Rude and rowdy staff. I came in at 9:05pm, door was unlocked and open. They gladly took my order but denied the next guest after me saying "we are closed" even though she came in around the same time as me and had been standing behind me in line. They need to update their hours on google and Yelp of this new change, and learn customer service skills. read more

I had gone in before and it's lovely. Very relaxed atmosphere. The great thing about Kung Fu is that their tea is brewed fresh regular. It isn't some sort of powder mix etc. This review is for delivered Boba Tea. I ordered three teas through Door Dash. I don't care for sweet things so I got the Kung Fu black tea with no sugar and milk (and boba) and it was soooo delicious. The teas are made to order and they have a great selection. The size is just right, ice as requested and the bobas are perfect! read more

KFT makes it into the list of the best boba tea I've had compared to a few others. I was a bit iffy on coming in but the staff follows safety guidelines and the building itself has everything spaced out and the chairs and tables put away. I also appreciate that the app actually doesn't let you order things out of stock so you don't end up ordering things you can't get by accident. Just based off of my one and only tea- I did not visit this place my daughter picked up drinks. It was not good. The boba was hard. I ordered the coconut milk tea. It lacked flavor. And coconut was like the carton coconut milk. I wasn't a fan! I'll stick to quickly. read more

The drinks are really good but the service is HORRIBLE. The girls are very very slow talk a lot and are just not trained properly. They can not give an estimation upon ordering how long the order will take. I have been waiting 30minutes and it's not that busy there just slow. read more

Really yummy teas with super fast service. Vegan options too! Love the coconut milk tea, plus they've got a cool rewards program! A little pricey for my tastes, as a lot of gems in Modesto run cheaper, but it's close to my Barnes and Noble and Target, so I head here often. read more

DO NOT GO TO KungFu Tea Modesto, if I could give negatives I would. This is what I found in my drink!!!!! It just opened a few months ago by Marshalls! I ordered a Taro Slush with Oreo took a few sips and found something crunchy in it. It was a PIECE OF PLASTIC! I told my husband about it and we videoed us straining the rest of my drink and found big and small pieces! This was my new favorite place to get boba, but now I'm scared for life!!!! To think I bought the drink for my 2 year old! Thankfully i drank it first before giving it to her!!!! I'm so upset about it!!!!! I called the store and talked to the owner but all he said was sorry, idk how that happened, and tried to give me vouchers for free drinks. UMMMM.... No, I will never drink there again! So please be careful!!! This situation was definitely NEGLIGENCE on their part because how does a WHOLE SHAKER CAP get into my drink?!?!? I will be calling the health department on Monday because who knows how many times this has happened! This happened Thursday evening. And who knows if I even drank some of those shards of plastic. I will be posting the viedo soon too!!! read more

Kung Fu Tea - Plastic in my taro slush!!!!! - Bubble Tea Near Me - Modesto, California

One of my favorite places in Modesto. Good variety of drinks and good service too despite how busy they can get sometimes.

I ordered at noon today. The order said it would be ready by 12:06pm. I drove by and went into the store. There were roughly 10 people in line. I ended up getting my drink at 12:15pm, but this is after everyone in line received their orders and left (that includes all of the people that ordered after I arrived). What's the point of order ahead if I had to wait longer than anybody that ordered in the store? I'm not pleased with this service at all. read more

My go to spot. All kinds of drinks to make the whole family happy. I am allergic to milk and they have a non dairy powder for the milk teas that make me soooo happy. My kids get the "milkshakes" so many different flavors. I love the top recomendations if youre new and unsure what to order. I like the oolong milk tea and the winter melon! And the Boba is great. Never had hard Boba here like other places. No complaints here. Will be back a million times more. read more

Tea: Usually I get tea infused with fruit flavors. I almost never get milk tea, so I go by how fresh the tea tastes, how good the toppings are, and packaging/presentation. I alternate tea places a lot. Use to exclusively go to T4 then started going to Quicklys. 98, and Sunset; I have tried most of the big spots in Modesto. Right now this is my favorite place. I get the Lychee Punch and it has fresh pieces of lychee in it (or canned, not sure). Location: This place has easy parking, the only time this is hard to get into is during big Christmas shopping days like black friday and what not. It is a big hard turning in from Mchenry or back going to Standiford because the light is right there. Price: For the price of boba, I feel like it's too much. I usually get lychee punch w/ lychee jelly (lower sugar) and large. This comes out to around 5.40$ which is just too much. At most for boba I like to spend around 4.50$. This is the only reason I am knocking a star off. Bathroom: Pretty nice, bathroom. Paper is always stocked. Nothing industrial, feels like a home bathroom. read more

I just order 2 boba cups and im really unhappy with my order this time. Im a regular customer but i never seen the boba is as hard as rock like today.
