Absolutely awful here! Hygiene is so gross all around there were so many gnats and flies not just in the area but in the containers of candy and toppings! My husband, daughter and myself went this evening and the service was horrible! A rude middle aged man. Telling me that I can't hand my daughter her ice cone cause it was too heavy for her. Being rude and impatient with us. ALL of the tables and chair were filthy and so sticky. The counters were gross and every single item we touched like topping and utensils were just so disgusting. We ended up getting only myself and my daughter's cone and he was getting flustered and frustrated that my husband was not getting his own. We ended up eating in our car it was that filthy! I think ownership or management changed over the years as this place has had a reduction in quality, appearance, and customer service. I attempted to redeem a $5 giftcard that had NO expiration date on it. The owner decided that he didn't want to redeem the card for its full value because his "system " changed. What? gifts cards don't expire unless it explicitly says so. He told me tough and said to take the $2 discount or nothing. I already had my shake in my hand which wasn't very good and just had to loose $3 of my gift card. My family and I won't be back. read more

This place is located in a smaller shopping center and next to a grocery store and fast food (Jack-in-the-box)...was looking for a quick small treat before eating with the fam later in the evening. Went to a few places before settling on this place based upon the 4star rating... unfortunately the outside is nicer than the inside.. which is rarely seen. In any event munchkin was able to get taster cups and we each tried a few flavors. Nothing fancy or special and had basic flavors (strawberry, cheesecake, dole whip, oreo) .... most of which tasted bland. I did get the raspberry flavor (without tasting it first) and it ended up being the best flavor I tried. Paid about $12 for 3 SMALL portions of yogurt and toppings. The toppings ranged from plastic containers to dollar tree bought cereal containers to twist off and shake... looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. I mean its still COVID and cleanliness should just be a natural/expected response during down time. They were not busy at all, in fact was not even in the front until we were reading the menu. I just brought my daughter in to get fresh yogurt as a treat... The place looked very dirty. All of the toppings were in dirty looking plastic containers. The yogurt tasted awful and not fresh... We tried to be kind and paid for it and my daughter and I took a bite and literally left our paid for frozen yogurt on the table and walked away. It was awful. We went here with my daughters and it was such a fun outing for frozen yogurt. I never thought I would describe the things like the architectural design but THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN though, LOL. It was so cool! The round shapes of the ceiling made the place have a fun feel. If you were born in the 90's you'll know what I mean when it gave me nickelodeon vibes. There is an area in the back with a chalk wall and a movie was playing, it was so fun for my kiddos!! The frozen yogurt tasted fresh and there were a ton of different toppings. The only negative thing I would say was the snicker toppings were really hard to chew and I couldn't tell if they were just dry or stale. But everything else was delicious and I think this is an excellent place for the family to go grab a treat! We will be back for sure. read more

Honestly so unsanitary compared to when they first opened, the floors are hella sticky, the manager used the same rag he wipes the counters with to wipe the floor down, and grabbing the spoons to put stuff on your yogurt is also sticky and tables were not cleaned off, plus the yogurt wasn't super flavorful and I stopped eating it after I saw the manager wiping the floor with the counter rags. read more

TW: Gnats around the topping tubs which didn't have cover tops and me and my wife came in around 10 pm on Saturday and we saw gnats in the tub of mochi! I would've taken a picture but the owner was staring at us since he had a bad interaction with my wife while choosing what she wanted. She was trying to try the sweet coconut and strawberry and it was coming out watery and not appetizing at all so it went into the tray and the manager came up to her and demanded she "stop that now" even after she explained that the yogurt was not coming out right! The cashier's demeanor was very unwelcoming as she didn't even say anything when we asked if they had small sample cups like every other yogurt place and she silently put the cup in my wife's face no words said. Delicious froyo in a convenient location! Oodles has a wide variety of self serve toppings options that are all delicious. We tried their strawberry, cheesecake, and Dole whip flavors and none of them disappointed. The staff is also really friendly and kind. Frozen yogurt is an interesting think. It's good as I've cream for the most part and cheaper. Well, at least that's how it use to be. I was a little surprised to see that it is $11/lbs for an iced treat. Maybe I don't frequent frozen yogurt enough but that's a lot of money in my book. I was impressed by the gobs and gobs of toppings they had. Maybe that's what is adding to the price. For me, I wouldn't take advantage of the selection but if you're a topping person, this is your place. My only real complaint is that is was really warm on our summer visit. One would think frozen yogurt would imply a cooler setting to enjoy it in. As my 8-year-old son discovered, you need to eat quickly here or it gets real messy real fast. read more

When I came in the place was so clean and so many options for toppings! I always go for tart yogurt and cover it in fresh fruit, it's my favorite! I loved how many options there were for fresh fruit and how good they were. Finally! A frozen yogurt place that's just down the street from where I live! No more having to make the trek all the way across town to satisfy my frozen yogurt cravings. I first visited Oodles when my family was staying with us from Hawaii. The owners, Mr. & Mrs. Dickerson, welcomed us and even though the place was busy with customers, they still had time to tell us about the featured flavors and give us suggestions. They treated us like family and asked us what we thought of our selections. As far as the yogurt flavors, there was definitely something there for everyone. The Dickersons have tiny sample cups at the register encouraging customers to try flavors that they're curious about. The topping selection included a wide array of dry toppings, sweets, fruits, and syrups. It's easy to fill your yogurt cup with more goodies than you can actually finish! During the course of my conversation with the Dickerson family, I'd mentioned that I'd probably only be able to come in over the weekends because I work in the Bay Area and get home too late. The Dickersons gave me a business card and told me that if I was ever craving a frozen yogurt, they close at 10pm and I could call them to place an order and they'd have it ready for me. To top that off, they also said that if I was running a few minutes late, I could just let them know and they'd wait for me! I couldn't believe it! Who does that? I've never taken them up on that offer yet, but just the idea that people whom I'd just met on a few occasions would even put it out there really meant a lot. I've told everyone I know about this place and will continue to come in with my family and friends. There is no place in Modesto like Oodles! read more
