My daughter is vegetarian and we are always trying to find veggie friendly places to eat with an expansive menu that doesn't just serve soup, salad, and a veggie burger. This place has those as well BUT they have a lot of other vegan options. We chose the TNK Club sandwich and it was so good! My daughter was excited to try vegan ham and bacon and it did not disappoint. She literally ate the whole thing! The serving sizes are nice and plentiful. We got a strawberry lemonade and that tasted so natural. Not too sweet. The location was easy to find. Parking is a bit of a hassle but there are parking spots nearby. Searched the area for veggie places to eat on my way to Yosemite and came across this gem! Drove 20 min out of my way to try it out, as I needed to get a good meal before heading out into nature with nothing but my snack bars and fruit and canned beans. lol It was such an adorable place! Amazing food that touches your soul. Had the best vegan chow mein in the US and chicken gravy and avocado smoothie. Everything tasted great. I've become a regular. I eat here about once a week. I would come more often if it was closer to home. If you asked me to name some negatives about TNK, it might be that the menu is small, and it would be nice if there were some other things to choose from. How about a tofu banh mi?! The only other negative is the reliance on plastic and paper takeout. The cafe is a small, two person operation. There simply is not room or staff available to wash dishes. I just wish I wasn't putting my containers in the landfill after every delicious meal. Still my favorite place in Modesto. Good karma at TNK! read more

Everything here is vegan. My favorite dish to order is "Mongolian beef". If you like spicy let them know how spicy on a scale from 1 to 10. I haven't tried above 8 but I'm tempted. The "beef" is seitan and flavored up!!! Mmmmmm so good with a big scoop of rice. The beef is accompanied with celery slices, a few bell peppers and onions resting on a bed of lettuce. This is a 3 star place, but since it's in the middle of nowhere and made for a good pit stop on our drive to SoCal, I'm rounding up. TNK is your typical, mostly Asian, all-vegan cafe that tosses a few American things on the menu. Nothing in particular wows, and they're certainly not going to impress with creativity here, but the food is generally decent and reasonably priced. We split three things: the Cream Cheese Wontons, Mongolian Beef, and the Chow Mein. The filling in the wontons had a weird texture so I wouldn't order those again, the Mongolian Beef was just ok, and the chow mein was good. TNK also provides the ability to have a sit down vegan meal on a patio in an otherwise pointless town better known for famous murders than food. Everything here was beyond delicious! The club sandwich was so so so good I could eat it over and over again! The *beef* slices were so so flavorful and the texture was so perfect! Delish Vegan Garlic Brown rice bowl and cream cheese wontons. Usually the best vegan dishes come from our own kitchen, the food here is made like it's from your kitchen. Served hot and quickly; well-seasoned, comforting, and left me wishing I had ordered more, so I'll have to make another trip. The woman behind the counter was very kind and helpful. Had a VERY yummy dinner at TNK Vegan Cafe over the weekend before heading to the State Theatre. Everything here is vegan which is a relief when ordering. There were a lot of choices on the menu that all sounded wonderful which made it hard to decide. I opted for the Mongolian "Beef" and my partner got the Impossible Burger. They were great! We were meeting our daughter and granddaughters at Graceada Park. Since TNK Cafe is across the street we decided to pick up food and picnic at the park. Three menu is large enough to have varied choices but not big enough to be overwhelming. We ordered egg rolls, a Club Sandwich with salad, another club with fries and a Beefless Burger. You order at a window. They have some tables and chairs outside where we waited for our order. The woman who took our order was very kind. Food was ready fairly quickly. We took it to the park and thoroughly enjoyed our food in the nice setting where the girls had lots to explore and play on. Portions are large. I could actually share a burger and fries with a salad. That would be perfect for me. Some men eating there also recommended a chicken sandwich they had each ordered. Highly recommend TNK Vegan Cafe. On our way back from Yosemite, we were starving and desperate, the kind of desperate that makes you think about going through a mainstream fast food chain drive through just to get fries and a drink. Nevermore!!! This place has an extensive menu and an adorable little front patio with outdoor seating, which I would have relaxed in had a more time. We use the app to order ahead and set the pickup time, and then I realized I was going to be there 45 minutes sooner than I set the time for. Call to correct and she said the food was already ready, which was fine in this circumstance but could potentially lead to some sad and floppy fries. Three of us were in town for a couple days and were thrilled to find this vegan cafe! We placed a phone order for pick up and the staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests. Portions are generous. The Cashew Chikn was delicious. My friends enjoyed the Spring Rolls and BBQ Chikn Sandwich too. However, the sweet potato fries were too greasy for us.
