Their customer service is always exemplary! The food is awesome too! It was not too busy when we dined in. There were two or three other tables dining in. There are few restaurants that I adore more than Thailand. Everything I've had has been perfection. If you're vegetarian or just want to try something new, don't sleep on their tofu option. It comes as sliced fried squares which gives it awesome texture and flavor. My favorites: the prik king, the pad eggplant, and pad see ew. Also the shrimp spring rolls are AMAZING. Another show at the Gallo. Another meal at Thailand Restaurant. The trick is to not order so much that we end up with leftovers. Very difficult to manage when we so enjoy having different flavors. Once again, we failed and had to take the leftovers back to our van before the show. Service here was again friendly and attentive. Our server helped us with our selections and they were spot on. 11B - Thai Basil Chicken Wings - 4 - Crispy and sticky and yummylicious. These wings were good hot or cold as leftovers. 61 - Pineapple Curry - 5 - We ordered this with Prawns and they were cooked perfectly. Bell peppers, Basil and Coconut Milk rounded out the dish making it perfect for serving over rice. 73 - Pad Kraprao - 4 - Just a bit of heat to wake up the taste buds, we ordered this with Chicken and it an excellent choice. Went for a date night dinner, introduced with friendly staff, who seated us immediately. Our waitress also checked on us a lot which is also a plus for me. Food was delicious I ordered the spicy chicken pad thai. No joke got our food within 5 mins of ordering even when it was busy. Decor is also very nice and romantic for either dates or get togethers. No joke, it's my go-to Thai spot in Modesto, and my go-to downtown restaurant. I love this place. From its food, to the service, to the ambiance. I think I've tried all the appetizers and there's not one I don't like. The curries are my absolute fav. Although I've tried the stir fry dishes as well and the soups. Again, all super yummy dishes. Came in for dinner service and was immediately seated by a sweet lady. The service was immaculate. We got our food after ordering in about 5 minutes, it was extremely fast! Went here with a group of cousins. Parking can be a problem as it is downtown Modesto. They do have spots in front of you are lucky. Or there is a parking lot to the left. And also a parking garage that takes 5$ cash on the back side of the restaurant. When you walk In. A nice ambience. Their menu is huge. Literally like a book. So many options to order from. Our table we ordered the orange chicken. Garlic pepper. Sweet and sour. BBQ pork. Pad Thai. Spicy noodles. I ordered the spicy noodles veggie style. It was okay. I'm not sure I would order it again and I def would not order their chicken. Ever again. BBQ pork was good and everyone who ordered the pad Thai cleaned up their plates. Found this place while on a work trip and it was near my hotel. Which is great because i was walking and it was raining. I hadn't eaten all day and was starving but wanted something comforting. So Thai food was the perfect first. I had a large bowl of the creamy chicken Tom Kha Kai with noodles, shrimp rolls (had to take some home, it was so much food) and a thai tea for good measure. The food was delicious. I have a weakness for soup and this was a version i hadn't had before. I really enjoyed it. And the shrimp rolls were even good the next day! The location is great, the staff were friendly, and they were so helpful and quick, despite having a constant run of customers. I would def go here again. The larb was good and flavorful but the soup lacked the flavor that I'm use to. In the soup the milk curtled giving it an unpleasant texture a bit. The seafood in the soup was definitely not fresh, the scallop had a taste that made me question a bit. The larb was definitely delicious and if I had just that without the soup I would have gave this restaurant at least a 4. If there's one place for some savory Thai food around Modesto, it would have to be this. Out of the other Thai restaurants me and my family explored, this one by far will make your money's worth, ESPECIALLY the lunch specials. There's so much variety to choose from and of course you can pick what type of meat (from chicken to beef). Every visit I always ordered their signature Pad Thai with Chicken (and a side of chili powder, 'cause why not add a little bit of spice?), and quite surprising that they put a lot to fill up your belly. It's almost as if the portions are considered entree sized! Service is quick even if when there are some days that can be busy, and waiters are friendly and fast. I rarely give out 5 stars but this establishment has totally earned it. I have dined here so many times with the food and service always being consistent, they know my order by heart. I feel like a King when I dine here. They see me walk in, happily seat me with a smile on their faces, and ask if I am having the usual. Yes I reply. Minutes later I am served some of the most delicious Thai food you will ever experience. Their peanut sauce is like a drug to me. I just can't get enough of it. I use it with my rice at the end to make sort of a dessert treat I call peanut rice. The fried banana with ice cream is another favorite. If you are with more than one person, order more food or you will fight over it. lol. My only complaint, I never have any left overs because it is so delicious I eat it all. I wish every restaurant had the service and food quality this places has. Try it, you will probably like it. Some notes to make your experience a better one; 1. Parking can be a challenge because of their downtown location during business hours. 2. If you are a regular diner of Thai food, order your items spice to be medium or hot. They have a tendency to make things more mild to cater to a larger audience. If you are adventurous, you can order Thai Hot and be left with no taste buds. Medium is my preference. read more

My husband got the L15- Pad spicy noodles- Pad Kee Mao in medium. It was the best thing I have tasted in a long time! I did not care too much for my Tom Yum Tofu (27) though. In my opinion the sour flavor made the milk taste like it was on the verge of curdling and it was hard for me to enjoy the flavor of the rest of it. Just my opinion though. Staff was nice and prompt. Service is good I just feel some food like the fried rice for the portion is very over priced especially when it taste a bit burnt.

It's a great sign when the restaurant is packed on a Tuesday evening. Even better when the staff was quick to clear a recently vacated booth and seated my party of 4. While we waited for the quick turnaround a friendly "regular" who came in behind us highly recommended the salmon which he said was his "go to" favorite. Although we didn't try the salmon all four of our selections were outstanding. We certainly will return to try out more items from the wide selection on the menu. read more
