House of Random in Turlock was such a fun and memorable stop for my family and me! From the moment we walked in, we loved the vibe--especially the swinging chairs, which added a playful and relaxing touch to the space for the kids. We ordered shakes and ice cream in waffle cones, and everything was flavorful and well made. You can really tell they care about quality. The pricing was also very decent for what you get. One small bummer was that they didn't have dates available for the Majoon, which I've heard is absolutely to die for--so that just gives us another reason to come back. A special shoutout to the prayer wall with the yellow sticky notes. Such a thoughtful, unique touch that really sets this place apart and adds to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Overall, delicious ice cream, a great environment, and a spot we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend! read more

We visited House of Random on a rainy December night. We were in town ice skating and took my brothers and nieces and nephews there. The staff was very friendly and the place is really cool inside. They have swings you can sit on and enjoy yourself, if you'd like to. My nephew really enjoyed that. I ordered the Cinnamon Delight with Dirty Tux (cookies and cream) ice cream. What a treat! It was warm and soooooo good. My wife ordered the Pumpkin Pie ice cream as a milkshake and she loved it! Overall, what a great spot for Turlock! 5/5 stars! read more

We had a group tonight at 9pm that had a wonderful delicious time at House of Random. We each ordered ice cream. My husband & daughter shared a homemade bubble waffle with cookie dough & Oreos. I had the peanut butter cup(best peanut butter ice cream I've ever had). One girl waited on us all, almost every table full. What a great server she is. I told her we would be back. Came here on a random day in town after running some errands and really enjoyed my treats at House of Random! Located in downtown Turlock, House of Random serves sweet treats like cinnamon rolls, cannolis, and pre-set ice cream sundaes (meaning their menu already has the appropriate toppings per flavor set up in the price; not sure if able to purchase ice cream plain at a discounted price tbh). They have some unique flavors like saffron and rose water (Bastani Sonati). The inside is warm and spacious with several seating varieties (swings?) for cute pictures I suppose! There are games like Uno or Jenga on the tables, which came in clutch while we waited for our order. We ordered: Turkish coffee in a cup - this comes with whip and a dusting of cocoa powder for a tiramisu effect. Very coffee-forward, which is how it should be! Chocolate chip cannoli - they make these to order so it was the best crunchy, creamy goodness. Service was great too - the woman who helped me was super nice. If you keep your receipt and bring it back next time, you get a slight discount! It was so nice and warm with the cold ice cream. Compared to a warm slice of apply pie with a scoop of ice cream. The girls working whine the counter were friendly and quick. The ambiance is very different to what I am used to dark more hip with music playing and LED lights. There was an all girls sports team there enjoying themselves so they have plenty of seating for all sorts of people. Came here while I was in town because my brother in law told me about it. Pretty cool lighting effects throughout the exterior and interior. Place was full of people, which made seating a bit difficult but we managed. Not a huge selection of ice cream flavors, but they have the ones everyone craves, so it makes ordering easier. I got the Majoon, you get a hit of banana flavor, but then you crunch into walnut/pistachio/coconut bits which gave it a good flavor. Oh and the dates as well. Looking for ice cream at night in downtown Turlock? House of Random is a good choice but it's the only choice. Overall this place is super trendy and popular among the younger generation who is not out bar hopping. The ice cream itself is ok and seems to be over priced and service doesn't make up for that. The Cryo aspect is cool but other than that there isn't an different taste in the ice cream.l or any cool color changing spoons. One thing to note parking can be an issue as it is on the corner along the railroad tracks, sharing parking with 1st & Main and The Utter Place. There are often homeless people hanging around the area. So if your downtown at night craving ice cream, House Of Random is your option, your only one at that. read more

Can't believe I've passed by this place so many times! My daughters kept telling me to stop by because their ice cream is super good, I'm glad I finally did today! I got their mint chocolate chip ice cream in a bubble cone, it was super yummy, it does a little time to get your order since they make the ice cream and waffle cones in house! You can watch them mix it in their mixers because they make your ice cream there as you watch! My daughter got the "plain Jane" which is just vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, she absolutely loved it!! I will definitely be coming back here! It's also a super cute place to take pictures as they have cute swinging benches and lots of photo ops! Cute instagram photos!! The service was great! Me and my husband felt like getting out of the house and decided to grab some ice cream. Found House of Random and decided to give it a try. It was pretty crowded so we figured it was a good sign. The ice cream was a bit pricey but it was good. My husband got his with a waffle and he loved it! Unique flavors as well as some regular ones. All ice cream made on the premises. Last time we were at the House of Random the ice cream was made with liquid nitrogen. Now it's just ice cream from a tub. They still have it listed on the building say "liquid nitrogen" I was disappointed to pay the same price for a just a regular ice cream. read more
