After dinner, you can't go wrong with pan dulce! We stopped by here to get my favorite, the elotes (5/5). They are soft and moist with lots of filling. There is a wide variety of pan and pastries. It's self service. You grab a tray, tongs and pick out what you want. You take your tray to the register and they bag it for you. The ambience is quiet. I give them 0 stars because this morning I went to pick up a large rosca with filling for my work and asked if they had the medium size with filling and they said no. They said they would have some in the evening and when I went to buy one the lady said they didn't have anymore with filling and that they couldn't make one for me and it was barely 4:20pm and they close at 9pm I think they did that because they had a lot of people but it's bad customer service. read more

We were in Turlock and finally decided to try this Mexican bakery. I have been wanting to come here because of the reviews and never had the chance to. Don't be fooled by the outside look of the place, it can look scary but it's worth going there. It is a hole in a wall bakery so dont rxpect much. Came here to grab some conchas and whatever baked goodies they have. When you get in, you can grab a tray and tongs to get your own bread from their cabinets. I am a little unsure on how clean their trays are. I wish they also come with tray liner or something. Anyway I opted for the mini conchas and my boyfriend brought some other bread. My daughter requested her favorite cake, a tres leches cake for her 14th birthday & since we recently moved to the central valley it took a lil bit of detective work to find this place that's about a 25 minute drive from my house & we were not disappointed. This was the most amazing cake I've had in forever! Incredibly moist the whipped cream frosting was perfection & the fresh strawberries were delicious. I came in with no specific design in mind & decided with classic rosettes. We ordered a 1/4 sheet & it was priced at about $35. We absolutely love this place! The mini breads and cookies are sooo good. The girl here is soo nice and very attentive. I will not return. Bought cream "filled" pastries. They were beautifully done. However, after the first bite the cream was all gone. I cut one of the pastries in half and found that there was no more cream to be found. Interesting thing though, I noticed that it was made to have cream at least half way through (see photo). Not too mention, the 1/4 inch diameter opening for the cream was surrounded by 1.5 inches of pastry. We tried giving this place 3 chances. Unfortunately, this is a business where unethical practices are being performed continuously. As I mentioned above my family and I will not return. Hope this helps people from being disappointed, at the very least. Ripped off if I use no filter in this post. To top it off I asked for a custom birthday cake design from there binder, however, the baker came out from the back to tell me that he could bake the cake, but I had to figure out the decorating of it.
