They also had a sheet cake, a small pack of cupcakes and cake pops in a separate case, so I wasn't sure if those were preorders or display or available for purchase. Here's what I loved: THE BROWNIE. One of the best I've ever had! The lemon bar was also delicious, super tart and perfectly baked. I'd get either of those again! Customer service was very friendly, prices were clearly displayed and fair, and the portions were good sizes. Here's what I just liked: The cake part of the red velvet, mousse, and carrot cake was a bit dry. They were beautifully decorated, the frosting and fillings were great, but the cake itself just wasn't as soft and moist as I was hoping. Upon entering, I was struck by three things, how friendly the worker was, how hard the door was to open (I do have mobility issues on occasion), and how little there was on display to choose from. Still, I found a couple of nice items (red velvet and some serious chocolate cake) my wife loved the chocolate but we found the red velvet to be quite dry and hard. I suspect that it had been in the case far too long. Fortunately the chocolate was so good, my wife said that it more than made up for it. Overall, the ambiance was simple bakery, nice folks, serving well. I suspect where these nice folks shine is in pre-orders (which makes TOTAL sense, as foot traffic, particularly in this bakery's location would be a tough sell indeed). I suspect that we will be keeping Dessert European Cakes and Pastries in mind for our upcoming bakery needs.

I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and the staff warmed it up for me. The croissant was flaky and I liked the everything but the bagel seasoning on top. I also purchased their chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate muffin. The cookie was thick and chewy on the inside. The semi sweet chocolate chucks topped with sea salt was a delightful combination which uplifted my energy levels during that dreaded afternoon crash. My coworker ate the chocolate muffin and she said it made her day! Mind you, she doesn't even like chocolate! After placing my order I took a walk around. The layout of the bakery let's the customers see the bakers crafting the delicious pastries. The calming music, the pops of green plants, mixed with the eclectic collection of vintage decor made me sparkle with inspiration. This feels like a place you can come with friends to catch up. The girl behind the counter sold me on the angel cookie, I asked what it was & she said that it was one of their best sellers and it literally melts in your mouth.
