Upon entering the coffee shop, it was a very busy and crowded environment. The baristas welcomed us and we waited in line for a good 3-5 mins. We then got our orders taken by the baristas and they're honestly very social and outgoing with a great attitude. Our orders were taken quickly and our food and drinks were served in good timing as well. The chocolate croissant is delicious with the chocolate not being too sweet at all but rather bitter which blended well with the croissant breading. The coffee was very good, not too sweet and the coffee was well balanced with the creaminess as well. Could be a bit bigger in portion with these prices but I think it's still worth it. This bakery and cafe came highly suggested by several locals! I stopped by as I was headed out of Lodi on a Wednesday. Parking was pretty easy on the street and it was pretty lively when I walked in! Their pastries looked delicious. I decided to go with a plain croissant and a cold brew. Service was just ok... the cashier seemed a bit busy or distracted. Plenty of seating inside! I asked them to warm up my croissant and it was perfectly flaky, buttery and delicious. the cold brew was good and strong! Omg. This place has never failed me, everything is so yummy. They've expanded the inside to allow for more seating and it is lovely. The line however will steady be outside of the door. I'm just glad there's a small parking lot next door for easy access. I suggest trying any and everything here, even grab a bag of their coffee beans. The hottest spot in town. No spot in Lodi is more popular on a Saturday morning than this local bakery. I recently had the privilege of driving through Lodi on a road trip up the center of California. A quick Yelp search told me that Ruby's Bakery was the bee's knees. This cafe has everything I'm looking for: deliciously crafted baked goods, a loaded breakfast menu, and beverages for every mood. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with spinach and mushroom and a green juice. I also got one of their sugar buns to snack on throughout the drive. Their breakfast sammie was delicious and filling, the perfect road-trip meal. My only suggestion would be to add a few additional substitutes for those of us who don't eat bacon. I devoured the green juice in minutes. This is a must-order for my next visit. read more

One of my favorite spots in town! They're consistent here every time on the food. Staff's friendly & genuinely seem to enjoy working here. Food and drinks are fresh. Highly recommend coming in as early as possible as this place can rack up quite the line. The earlier you come in, the more baked goods will be available. Ambience is good, especially post remodel where more space was added / expanded a few months ago. Highly recommend stopping in & going with the avocado toast. By default, anything they make with egg is done over medium. Recommend ordering eggs over hard or scrambled or things can get messy! Parking situation wise, this Business Shares a parking lot with Golden Bear Physical Therapy, with Golden Bear Physical Therapy holding a majority of the spots. Stopped by during the street fair and this place was packed! Thankfully the turnaround time for the tables was fairly quick and there's plenty of seating. The cappuccino was silky, smooth perfection! The iced latte was just another latte...nothing special. My strawberry danish was AMAZINGLY fresh and crispy. I swear I could eat layer by layer lol. Good bye.... Ruby Tuesday!! Sorry, first thing I think of. The next thing I think of are delectable, decadent, delights such almond/chocolate croissants, beautifully decorated cakes and danishes. The CC cookies are always worth getting even if it's to eat later on after dinner with a nice cold glass of milk. They offer tasty breakfast toasts/sands/pastries with eggs and bacon and avocado and other fancy type of breakfasts which may include chorizo and potatoes. I like!! They offer Insight Coffee and their vanilla lattes and mochas are really well made with the right froth and sweetness. It's a fast paced environment but never too busy for a "good morning" or "thanks for coming ," shout out. Plenty of parking in front or the back. Busy bustling atmosphere. Absolutely one of the best cafes in California. A hidden gem in the Central Valley, located in downtown Lodi. The coffee is perfect, flavorful and creamy. The baked goods are a nice touch. You can't go wrong with a pick here. The sliced pizza & breads are great choice for brunch. I had a question about the pesto & the head chef came to answer my questions. Ruby's is located on Church street. Plenty of street parking or there is a lot across the way. When you walk in it's industrial vibes with wood furniture. It can get quite loud so I wouldn't come here to study, but it's more of a place to meet a friend or enjoy a vibrant atmosphere. The service can feel a little rushed so take a minute to look and decide before hoping in line. There was plenty of seating but a lot people took their items to go. One note: someone did bring out my danish because it was getting heated up but they have you clear your own table and put the dishes in a bin near the drink pick up area. The pastries are excellent. I opted for the chorizo and egg danish with a chocolate chip cookie on the side. The danish was flaky and the chorizo was so flavorful. They offered me a side of salsa that had a nice kick to it and paired well with the danish. The chocolate chip cookie was full of rich chocolate chunks and had a nice crisp around the edges but soft center. It's more flat and chewy which I like. I also got a cappuccino which paired nicely with the cookie. Prices were good given the quality of the food. It is amazing and I will definitely be back to try other items. read more

Additionally, the procedure of having any non-pastry requests made at the register is jarring and inefficient. After I asked for a few pastries, I began to say "I would also like to order a..." when the girl cut me off and blurted out a robotic response along the lines of "any other orders that aren't pastries can be made at the register." If I hadn't had a long commute ahead of me, I would have walked out. There was no line. It wasn't busy. There was absolutely no valid excuse for her to cut me off mid-sentence. I enjoy the food and drinks here so that is why I gave two stars, but this will probably be my last visit. This is a standout bakery in the area, and the recently expanded space makes it much more comfortable inside. It's usually busy, and during the holidays you can definitely expect a line. They often run out of popular items early, so it's best to arrive as soon as they open if you want the full selection. The menu is seasonal and features one of the best desserts I've ever had: the crolair. It's a light, flaky pastry filled with custard, topped with toasted meringue and fresh fruit. Had a vanilla latte with an extra shot and their pizza bread with corn as a little morning pick me up. It came with ranch on the side! It was a great start to my day. The pizza was unique and so tasty. I was craving it and went back later that week but they were not selling it. Coffee was strong and sweet - gave me a great boost to get stuff done. OMG, what a pleasant visit! The staff here were incredibly nice and welcoming. While I was ordering my coffee, a staff member behind the cashier chimed in and mentioned they had recently tried the iced cappuccino and loved it. I decided to give it a try too and wow, it was SO good! In fact, my sister ended up stealing it from me and made me take her drink instead. The pastries were all delicious, but the sugar bun was my absolute favorite. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly made. There's no table service here per se. You order at the counter, pick up your coffee yourself and take a number to your table to receive your meal. The menu is limited, but adequate. Stopped in for breakfast. When we first walked in the smell of sweet decadence wafted through our senses. The smell of fresh brewed coffee, sweet cinnamon and pastries filled the air. We were greeted with a warm smile as our order was taken. The coffee condiments as well as utensils are located against the wall. All eggs served medium. Our plates came out with fresh baked bread toasted with butter and apple butter. The eggs were bright and fresh and coffee fresh brewed and delicious. I got treated pretty mean today, I have been to RUBYS QUITE A FEW TIMES. Today I was second in line, admiring the tasty eats in the window well then became 1st in line when the nice couple in front of me said, "hey register gal called for next.". I walked up the both the two gals and they both said very NASTY LIKE, get back in line, the end of the line is back by the door. When I tried to explain to them they shook their heads in dismay, the one girl said oh just let him go. yes we can. Maybe just a miss understanding???? My experience was good other than, but today put a bad taste in my mouth I know they are busy, but you don't talk to your Customer like that. I felt like a loser and the girl that was in front of me felt sorry for me. They Have a really cute place, seems like they do business very well, Always busy, I'm happy for them. I love their food. They have GREAT service most all the time. As I sit here drinking my coffee I hear very positive things going on, welcoming people in the door, thanking them as they leave. This is a place that you must go to if you want to get comfort food as in desserts, pastries and coffees. It's just an amazing little bakery that has amazing food, which includes desserts. On Thursdays there's deep dish pizza that reminds me of homemade pizza my grandmother used to make for me. It's very good. Also they do have soup. I believe it's always tomato soup. It is really tasty. There is always usually a cheesecake and another kind of cake or pie, croissants, chocolate chip cookies that are made with I believe with rye flour, shortbread cookies, quiche and they make this toast type open faced sandwich it's one of my favorites. They have a sundried tomato bechamel that makes it so that it isn't dry but isn't too messy to eat. For vegetarians, they have a veggie version! - Seasonal Danish: Some people go for the flaky croissants but I like the eat-ability of the flat flaky danish for. The coffee items are pretty basic as they did not have caramel flavored coffee. I ending up getting the mocha latte and it was pretty good. I got a chocolate croissant and it was so flaky, buttery, and soft with chocolate chunks. It was so good! The service was great. As soon as we/or anyone walked in, we were greeted.
