I'd like to start out by saying the employee Amaya is a 5 star, she's the one keeping this place going because the coffee isn't it. The girl making my coffee had light brown hair with blonde highlights in it and let me tell you my coffee was terrible because it was like warm. My wife's came out hot so not sure why she made mine almost cold. She was really unfriendly. The outside is beautiful but the inside needs some work. Maybe it was her attitude bringing me down idk.
Great space to work or meet up with friends over tasty drinks! I was here on a Saturday around 10 and there was plenty of seating indoor and out. I ordered a matcha latte and it was perfectly sweetened. Pros: - Friendly staff - lots of coveted patio seating - dog friendly - free wifi Tips: - has a parking lot but can get full depending on how busy papapavlos is. Other than that there's additional street parking
I was going to be in the area so i looked this place up on yelp. There is street parking at no cost. The place had a ton of outdoor seating and I door seating. You have to walk to the back order and sit down. They had your normal options prices were regular . I do love the open concept you can see everything. The decor is really cute it's like outdoor style. What took this place to another level is they brought our coffee to our table. The guy was really nice and it just gave a special touch. The coffee was really good. You can tell they use good beans. Highly recommend will definitely be back.
I ordered a maple brown sugar cold brew with oat milk. This $7 coffee tasted like water and you can literally see how watered down it is. I definitely will not be returning, there's much better coffee shops in the area that aren't a rip off n
Coffee is always on point. Their honey lavender is my favorite. My go to is a an oatmilk cappuccino and half shot of honey lavender. You can buy beans and other coffee gadgets here too.
trail coffee is hands down one of the best coffee spots in lodi. their coffee is consistently incredible, and the espresso is top quality -- you can really tell the baristas are experienced and know what they're doing. one time, i asked if they had salted caramel, and even though they didn't, one of the baristas went out of her way to craft a salted caramel flavor just for my drink. she was so sweet about it, and honestly, i think about that moment a lot. experiences like that are what make you want to keep coming back. the atmosphere is beautiful and cozy -- it's a bit on the smaller side, but that just adds to the charm. perfect for grabbing a seat, enjoying your drink, and taking a little breather from the day. highly recommend trail if you're looking for amazing coffee and genuinely kind service. it's a lodi gem.

The Trial Coffee is a fun coffee place.Come here with friends and enjoy the outdoor patio, pastries and good coffee. Chai Lattte is good too. A few months ago had the pastry made with fresh cherries. Delicious. However last time I came with my granddaughter was disapointed as they they did not have any fresh pastry goods. So we got our coffee and had to go over to Ruby's for pastry and were not able to enjoy the patio.
This was my first time in Lodi trying Trail and it was a cute spot! We came late Saturday morning and it was very busy. Once the tables are full, there aren't many places to stand and it felt crowded. We waited at the counter for a few minutes before being served but gave us a chance to decide on our flavors and check out the cute merchandise. I got the 16oz iced honey lavender latte, coffee flavor is good but syrup flavor is light. My boyfriend got a cold brew with vanilla and a splash of half and half and it was strong which he liked. Standard coffee shop prices! Overall I would come back - maybe on a weekday!
I personally did not have a good experience at this location and I just wanted to address a few issues for anyone considering coming here. First off, I want to acknowledge that the business next door to this location is under construction and has been for some time. I understand this is not their fault. However, you need to understand before you come here that you will be just a few feet from this very loud construction before you visit. As we walked up, I had to stop abruptly when a flurry of sparks flew out in front of me. The neighboring building was using a circular saw to cut metal and the sparks were flying out into the walkway. It was incredibly loud and startling. The patio area is literally just seating to watch construction at this point and that little waterfall in the corner can't be heard or enjoyed over the noise. You can always sit inside right? Hmmm... Had I read the reviews before I came, I would have seen the repeated mentions of "weird vibes" and poor customer service (even in the good reviews) but instead I was able to witness it firsthand. The staff here is not particularly friendly and although there were two other people in the shop you could hear a pin drop...in between the loud construction noises anyway. It definitely has a less than inviting atmosphere. So, plans changed to grab the coffee and go. We have tried the Trail Coffee in Stockton and even got a gift card. Their website clearly states that it is "Available to use at any of our locations" and their Yelp page states in the About the Business section that "Trail Coffee Lodi is Trail's third location and first one outside of Stockton." Why then when we asked the cashier about using our gift card did she say it was for Stockton and after swiping, tell us "It doesn't work here."? Some things are out of your control. Staff can be having a bad day or not be trained correctly, etc. However, poor product on top of it all is really unacceptable. I was honestly happy to pay for my drink and just get the heck out of there but when I sat in the car to finally drive away and tasted my "Honey Lavender" latte, well, that was the final nail in the coffin for me. No honey, no lavender, just truck stop coffee with some half and half splashed in over some ice. I have made myself much better coffee at a hotel continental breakfast. This place was an utter disappointment and even if you are considering giving them a try, I would definitely wait until construction is finished with looks to be around late summer 2024 at this point and I would be very surprised if this place makes it that long at this rate.

We wanted to check the local coffee scene and ended up here. Parking is in the back and this is next to a super packed breakfast place, bookmarked it for later because the plates look good while we walked to this cafe. The inside is small, a couple of seats available. They had am small merch section with their own beans. We sat inside and enjoyed our iced coffees in the hot summer day. Coffee was good, atmosphere is chill. Would go back if in the area again. read more
My friend and I are on a mission to hit up all these local coffee shops in Stockton and Lodi and Trail Coffee was next on the list. We came around 9am and it wasnt busy at all. This place is nestled between Papapavlos and First Toast and they all share the outdoor seating space. By 10am it started to fill up. My friend and I both wanted a latte as we saw some cute pics on Yelp of their coffee art. I would say that I was disappointed, however both girls told us they were practicing so I figured why not. We asked for cups but they gave it to us in a to go cup with a lid...no point in coffee art if it's going to be covered up lol. After I took off the lid I understood why LOL. At least she warned us and tried. The coffee itself was pretty good, nothing that stood out though. It's a cute shop, with a minimalist/nature feel inside...real cozy. The atmosphere alone is enough to bring us back for a second cup! Overall, the experience was pleasant. read more

The Trial Coffee is a fun coffee place.Come here with friends and enjoy the outdoor patio, pastries and good coffee. Chai Lattte is good too. A few months ago had the pastry made with fresh cherries. The 3rd Trail Coffee to open! They must be doin' things right and IMO they ARE! Great tasting lattes, awesome pastries and breakfast sandwiches, cool patio with a waterfall feature and wired up for nice tunage. This review is way overdue! They have loyalty cards, have awesome customer service, like the other two stores in Stockton, and a cozay interior with an eye catching mural and vintage furniture. An example of their cool customer service was when I ordered a bfast sandwich with bacon and they were just out of bacon, what did they do? Nick (the owner I believe) hooked me up with a free latte on my next visit. Little things like that go a long way in my book. They share the same roof with Papapovlos so don't be confused. Nice, adequate parking and so close to downtown. Trail is awesome. Support local you yocals!! read more

We went up to Lodi for Mother's Day and got trail coffee for our morning pick me up! The store is super cute. I love the use of scrabble tiles for the drinks and the clock with the pothos and they have little propagations at the tables. They had 10% off for mothers on Mother's Day which was a really sweet thing to do, and made it feel more local. I got a matcha latte, it was okay. My fiancé got a hot mocha and it tasted like a grown up hot chocolate! Pretty tasty. Service was okay. We got our coffee quickly but not super "wow" factor. Everyone seemed really tired lol, but we were too so we understood! We also got a jalapeño cheddar scone and it was soooo delicious. I wouldn't mind a few more of those, well have to stop by next time we're down! read more

I love all other trail coffee locations in Stockton but every time I come here I do not get the same service opposed to the other ones. The inside shop itself is very cute but doesn't have a very welcoming environment plus its so quiet that its a little uncomfortable. When I come here I never sit inside not even to wait for my drink so I do like how they have an outside patio with a nice waterfall. I will say though that the drinks are always made very good here & never had an issue with my drink tasting bad! I just hope the service improves and becomes more welcoming. read more

Cute little coffee shop next to Papas, it's a local favorite and perfect to hang out on the waterfall fountain patio on a beautiful day. They frequently offer seasonal syrups that are delicious and prepared expertly and on point! The staff definitely knows you when you return and greets you with a warm welcoming smile. Baked goodies are available and even kombucha, something for everyone. read more

It was my first time here today. I am on a mission to try every coffee place in Lodi & review. This place is cute and cozy. The menu gives a minimalist look so it doesn't give a lot of details on what flavors etc may be in the coffee. The person taking my order was a bit condescending when I had some questions. I don't think that was her intention, but it is important to have an inviting or friendly aura and tone when working with people. She seemed overall nice, but it may be a good question to ask, "have you been here before, let me know if you have any question on the menu, is there something you are looking for, etc". I thought I may of just took the vibe wrong, but read in some reviews that others also got this impression. The person who handed me the coffee gave me a sweet smile, so it wasn't their staff entirely. I had the mocha & the coffee was good overall and would order again in hopes the customer service may be a little more friendly the next time. read more

We were looking for a nice place for a morning cup of coffee. This place has great reviews and now we know why. I ordered an Azteca Mocha and my husband ordered a Cappuccino. Both were delicious. My Azteca had a tiny bit of cayenne which gave it a little spice. Delicious! Had a nice conversation with Nick before we left. Told him how much we enjoyed the coffee and the atmosphere. Definitely will stop by here again our next trip to the Lodi area. read more

I've been meaning to try this place for awhile now and finally made it before they close at 2pm. Their front door is on the side of Papapavlo's courtyard seating. Plenty of private parking here. The interior was nice with cool colors and gave it a "beach" vibe. Reminded me of Santa Cruz cafes I visit. The barista was friendly and she even helped me bring my plate with my bagel outside. I just ordered their drip coffee they were serving at the moment which was a light, medium roast. It was good but I needed something stronger. Should've added a shot of espresso. That's just my preference. I enjoy dark roasts. My everything bagel was fresh and plenty of cream cheese was provided on the side. Sitting outside was nice, however, the street it is surrounded by is sort of loud with traffic in the early afternoon. The waterfall fountain was pleasant to hear and enjoy while drinking my coffee when there wasn't noise. Next time I'll sit inside. I'll be back to try more. read more

My kind of coffee shop has to obviously have good tasting coffee but also the vibe has to be right, whether on the go or sitting at the premises. Review for coffee (cappuccino). Great quality filled to the brim and exactly how I wanted it. Review for ambiance. Minimal indoor seating but has ample outdoor seating. Calming atmosphere especially sitting next to the fire pit. Great location and definitely a spot to do all sorts of recurring coffee house activities such as friendly get togethers, laptop work, Tinder date, and solo escapes to do whatever you feel like doing. read more
