I went back to The Hidden Tea Room, and it was wonderful again! I took a few people who had not been to a formal afternoon tea before, and everyone enjoyed it and wanted to go to afternoon tea more because of their experience here. A few things stood out now that I am more experienced with afternoon tea: -They serve everyone two scones, which I loved because they were freshly made (one person at the table could see the person making them in the back). The two scones per person concept is something I have missed at tea rooms here because that seems to be the standard in England. -Also with the scones, if you give them 20 or so minutes, you can order some to go. If you do, check what other flavors they have. They serve the vanilla ones with afternoon tea, but when someone in my party asked, they said they had three other amazing-sounding flavors also available to purchase that day. -In addition to ordering the regular tea service, they do have add-ons, such as salad, additional fruits, and additional quiche for $5. Next time I will probably order some of that just because while the servings are decent, the lower price on the tea service does mean a little less food than other places, and I definitely could have had just a little bit more to eat. -All the food was delicious. -The tea was wonderful. They have a decent-sized list, and a good mix of green, black, and herbal. They also sell most of the tea that they serve, which was nice. One person in the group ordered Paris tea, which I did not think I would like, but when I took a taste, I loved it and ended up buying some. -Sometimes just the attention to detail is nice. It is beautiful in there, and they have a nice variety of tea pots and tea cups. They matched a tea pot and tea cup to each person in our party based on what we were wearing. It was really neat! -They have some nice things in the gift shop. In addition to selling most of the tea that they serve, they also sell accessories, and they sell fascinators, tea clips, and jewelry made by a local young artist, which is really neat. All in all, visit The Hidden Tea Room. It is one of the few places in town with afternoon tea, and they are doing an excellent job. read more

My friends and I had tea here recently and we absolutely loved it. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and you got a ton. We did the Queen's Tea Tower: Beginning with two warm tea scones, sweet butter, jam and lemon curd, followed by a tower of sandwiches and desserts: House-made petite quiche, two tea sandwiches, the daily savory, fresh fruit, and three assorted desserts. Yummy vanilla scones. The tea sandwiches were chicken salad, cucumber and something with dill. The quiche was bacon and cheese I think. All of these were super tasty. We had fresh pear, grapes and blood orange for our fruit. Desserts were a shortbread cookie, cake pop and banana pudding. We were a bit disappointed that nothing was chocolate. The cake pop had no real flavor and the cookie was a bit boring. But we all loved the banana pudding. So good. Loved my cinnamon almond tea. Staff was great. Love the decor. Such a cute space. The Hidden Tea Room is such a fabulous place! I had such a great experience as a first timer. The staff were all extremely helpful, patient, & kind. The food was great & the teas were all so delicious. My mother and I both had 'The Royal' which came with 4 scones (2/ person), 2 quiches, 3 types of sandwiches, fruit, and 3 types of desserts. What a lovely afternoon tea! The service was excellent and felt very welcome and comfortable. The tea selections were plentiful and pleasant. My group sampled about 6 different teas - tropical, quince, Paris, apricot, cherry blossom and macaroon (which we purchased in the gift shop and they graciously made for us). My favorites though were surprisingly the apricot and quince. The scones were small yet delicious, one was plain and the other cherry. My favorite of the savory were the little veggies rolls, which had a nice little sauce on top. The other savory items were good as well, but I was a bit disappointed by the the quiche and salmon toast (a little salty). Each tea house I have gone to have different amounts of food and this was on the lighter side, but still satisfying. The desserts were excellent, loved the matcha and the cookie. Our friend proposed a little girl teatime to us and we all thought it would be cute. We are brought our little fasteners to dress for the occasion. This spot is located in a small plaza with its own parking. It's really hidden so you have to look out for the sign. When you walk in, it looks like a little cute cottage. We were greeted and seated on a large round table that was set up perfectly with the China. There are different packages you could choose which depends on the amount of finger food you get. You also have the choice of what tea you'd want. We all opted for the same package to include it all and make it easier. They also offer gluten free options. First, they bring out the teas, then they bring out the scones and jam, then the sandwiches and desserts. They bring one of each item for each of us on the platters. Everything was so good. I went to The Hidden Tea Room to spend quality time with my sister and it was perfect. Recently celebrated my bday with lifelong friends. We all came from different cities to spend the afternoon together and we were all blown away at The Hidden Tree Room. It was the first time for all of us and we all can't wait to return! The ambiance is very "girly" but we all loved it. We especially enjoyed sitting under the beautiful chandelier and the beautiful XXL flowered/tea cup wreath. The food was fabulous! From the first bite of the perfectly baked scone to the last bite of the delectable mini chocolate cupcake. The teas were terrific! I had the birthday tea. What a hidden and magical delight to discover this place! I haven't had tea in so long and The Hidden Tea Room was exquisite. The setting was like a fairly tale and the food was so fresh and inspired and delicious with all sorts of little treats. The attention to detail was amazing because everything was of such high quality and delicious. So much care went into the meal from start to finish. Highlights were the house made butter and scones that made me weep with their texture and taste. The tea was very tasty, and all the tea tray treats were out of this world good. I was ecstatic that they had both gluten free and vegetarian options. Compared to the regular fare, I didn't feel like I was missing out one bit from the non vegetarian non gluten free options. The setting made me feel like I was in some enchanted land of flowers and gentility, which I loved. We were making a list of everyone we could bring to show this place as we were enjoying our tea. The owner was so incredibly kind and sweet and I loved that they had hats you could borrow to wear to really get in the mood! I availed myself of a lovely pink one and it was so much fun. The lemon frosting and lemon curd were a highlight for me, as were the scones which were probably the best scones I have ever had in my life, and I used to live in England. The homemade butter almost made me forget about wishing there was a bit of clotted cream to spread on them. I had the Paris tea and loved it. I also tried the Birthday tea which was complex and rich and fruity and very nice. I'd love to see a few more black tea selections on the menu, but the one I had was so good, I would still probably have preferred it to any other option. All in all, I can't wait to come back. I love finding hidden treasures and this is definitely one I will be coming back to and I can't wait to surprise and delight some of my loved ones by bringing them to this gem. We had a larger group at The Hidden Tea Room, and I think everyone enjoyed the experience. The main room can comfortably accommodate 24 people, and it doesn't seem crowded. Our group was able to call individually to make our payments for the service. That was extremely convenient. You don't need to choose your tea selection until the day of the event. Although there were 5 different teas served per table, I chose Cherry Blossom. This was so light and refreshing. Don't let the name fool you into thinking it will be a very fruity taste. Our desert/snacks were scones, a lemon loaf, quiche, and sandwiches. My favorite would be the lemon loaf and cucumber sandwich. I did hear people say the quiche was also good. They bring your group their own pot of tea each, you are given a lovely tea cup set and the way it was all presented at the table really set the tone.
