Augie tries his best to provide that and implemented a new system this year to try and make it a better experience. It seems this individual was not happy because it did not benefit them. If the rules were confusing or not clear, customers are generally encouraged to call and ask questions. Also, when leaving a complaint, what nesscessity is it to state your ethnicity? What does that have to do with rules that are enforced to everyone. Augie is a pleasant and kind person and doesn't discount people because of music genre tastes, education, or race. This negative review is undeserved. You still had the chance to have 5 guaranteed picks. More then most other places. I was in line as well, but just behind the first 10 people. If you wanted more you could go back in and try your luck with everyone else. You were waiting since 8am? Try waiting from 12am if you want to try to make sure you get an album you want. I've done that. Rocket Records, Augie and the whole family are great and I'll always stand behind that. They try their best to provide a welcoming shopping experience.

They receive tons of book donations from the community, which makes each trip feel fresh since there's always something new in rotation. The owner is very passionate about music and you can tell it from talking to him. He is friendly, was chatting with all the different customers about what they picked, and even gives good suggestions! I bought a record from a band I had never heard of before (Fox Medicine). They were in the metal section but it was cute and bright pink. I looked them up quickly and listened to a couple songs and told myself I had to get that record. The owner was chatting with me about if I liked them or not and I was honest about literally just discovering them. He gave me one of their posters free of charge! They had just performed at his store and so he had a few left. I didn't realize he was giving it to me until we were leaving, I thought he was just showing me the poster. That absolutely made my day once I realized he was just giving it to me. The variety in this store is amazing with loads of vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and even music equipment! Prices are very fair, and everything is properly labeled. Instead of me having to get my hopes up inspect the record, the front usually says the condition, pressing, if it's colored, etc. I don't have to waste my time inspecting it myself, as the staff has already done the leg work. They even have a bargain bin (wall) with great deals! Down on the floor was a box that had cheap project vinyl too. When I worked at a record store I remember teachers coming in looking for the cheapest ones they could find for a various lessons they had coming up. I'm glad The Audio Nerd has a box for people like them. The store is a little bit cramped with how small it is and with how much product they carry, but it is such a gem and so fun to flip through. You can spend an hour or two easily in there despite it being a small store. Live shows even happen here! They move some of the tables out and put a band in there. Shout out Hayden for always promoting upcoming shows there! And as if this place couldn't get any cooler, they also do punch cards too... Who has ever heard of a record store doing a punch card before? Absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a cool new record store, The Audio Nerd is a great place to check out.

From macramé plant hangers, to incense, essential oils, pet toys, leashes and accessories, stickers for every interest, beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry, and home decor, walking into this shop made me feel like a kid in a candy store.
