As a record collector, I was pleased to find a resource for replacing the cartridge of my turntable. Ben was most professional and provided the authority I was seeking. His knowledge was welcome. It's great to find a store that offers great service! read more

Great customer service, good niche collection of vinyl, new and used turntables and turntable equipment!

Rick and Ben are some of the best in the business. With decades of knowledge across all major genres of music they take a thoughtful approach to what the casual or avid collector is after. The store is always stocked with a great selection of music that is fairly priced. In addition, they offer sound equipment upgrades to get your home audio system sounding top notch. Highly recommended! read more

I am so glad to have discovered this place! I was having difficulty with my turntable, Ben made some adjustments and advised on a new amp. I was able to buy a refurbished amp that makes my vinyl records sound great. THANK YOU SO MUCH BEN!! I also got some cool & affordable vinyl records that are in great condition. Delta Breeze is a breath of retro fresh air. I will spread the word! read more

We just picked up two records from this shop and the costumer service was 10/10. The worker was very knowledgeable about records and offered his feedback about what album to pick up. I would come back any day ! Thank you for the experience. read more

Had the turntable for a month and couldn't get any work done. First he said two weeks, I got no call on it's status, so I called them 3 weeks later and they said they hadn't gotten to it yet and that it will be done the following Monday or Tuesday. Called him a full week later and then he proceeds to give me an excuse that his helper isn't there and that's why he's held up. If he told me that in the first place and given a more realistic time frame I maybe wouldn't have a problem, but at this point in time I can see nothing but lies and would prefer not to deal with any sort of cheating on their work. At this point in time, don't bring in a turn table to be serviced here. read more

I have an old Technics 1200 turntable that has seen some wear over the years and just recently the tonearm adjustment got stuck. Called few places around to see how much would it cost to fix, but Delta Breeze was the only shop that told me to bring it in immediately. They did warn me that they are busy and that it might take a week or so to get the turntable fixed if it needs to be opened up. Not only that it took only 5 minutes for them to diagnose and fix the issue (grease solidified) and get the tonearm height ring unstuck, but they also tested the turntable to ensure everything is working as should and all for a very reasonable price. I'm pretty sure a big store would just keep the turntable for a week and charge 10x just to do the same thing. Honesty goes a long way! As long as these guys are around, I won't be taking my equipment for repair anywhere else. As for the vinyl, it looks like they have a decent selection of new and used records, but I wasn't there to browse. For repairs, these guys are experts and I could tell they love what they do. A small business like Delta Breeze is definitely worth supporting. Please do your part and support them too! read more

Who ya' gonna' call? Ya' gonna call Ben. Ben at Delta Breeze. Seriously..do you own a stereo? Or need one? Tape deck? Turntable? Or your shiz need a fix? THEN YA' GONNA CALL BEN. And ya' gonna get taken care of. Fully. read more

Took my early 70s Pioneer PL - 41 turntable in for repair, Ben was very knowledgeable and assessed the problem quickly. His expertise was evident in that he knew exactly what the issue was - a degrading plastic disc. He said he could have the part and have it fixed up in a week for about $40. His low key style and zero pressure encouraged me to work with him to do more. We replaced the belt - it was original - and he installed a new cartridge. Out the door and completely dialed in for $150. Great communication and was right on with his estimate. I couldn't be happier! read more

How can anyone not like an independent record store with good used vinyl and Hi-Fi gear? Ben is both knowledgeable and skilled with turntable setup or repair. read more

First stop record store in Sacramento! Stock is always fresh, high quality, and the bargain bins have gems in them. Always helpful people when I go in. They have a listening station (needs TT with pitch control imo, my only complaint) 5 star establishment! read more

The shop seems cool. The staff not so much. The man I spoke to was pretentious and spoke to me in a demeaning way when I asked a simple question. Don't recommend it if you are a beginner or anyone who looks like a beginner. I hate leaving bad reviews but he made me feel like sh*t :) read more

This is one of my favorite places to shop for records. The owner of the shop, Ben, is incredibly knowledgeable and patient with my endless questions. read more

I was willing to simply donate my very loyal but worn-out vintage stereo gear if it could be given a second or third life as Ben assured me it would. But he said, go ahead and pick out some records. I found good jazz sides as trades in the bins among lots of other interesting stuff and felt it was a satisfying deal. I recommend Delta Breeze Records. read more

I have a vintage Pioneer record player that needed work because of RCA cables were causing spotty sound. I found Delta Breeze by chance as I was searching for audio repair shops, unfortunately there are zero in Stockton. The shop is awesome, if you remember the days of Tower Records, you'll appreciate DBR. Vintage records, audio equipment, they have it all, back to my review. The repair was awesome, friendly and attentive and their work was exceptional. Great place to check out, they have LP's, vintage audio equipment and yes, they have cassette tapes! read more

Yes, they're a fun record store with a good selection, reasonable prices in general, a large bargain bin right in the front and located in a part of town that still has free parking. But what I really want to mention is Ben's ability to fix a turntable. Over the last few weeks I brought in two linear trackers that had developed issues. Ben was able to quickly fix both of them for a completely reasonable price. What makes it even better is that the second one he worked on had previously been serviced twice by another local (but since moved out of town) analog specialist. Said specialist had never been able to get rid of an annoying "THUNK!" that it would produce every time the linear tracking mechanism adjusted itself, but that noise is now *gone*. read more

I was just given a record player, so it was time to buy my own records. The atmosphere is very relaxed and not hip or anything like that, which I liked since I've only been to a couple before. The owner is very friendly and loves music, and he saw me browsing the classical section so we started discussing classical music. I'm not sure what else to think about the store (since I'm new to this scene), but I think it's a great little store to check out and support. read more

The owner is super nice & helpful. Records are decently priced. They have a great selection of interesting and obscure records you probably won't find at other record stores. I try to make it in at least once a week, as they're constantly updating their selection. read more

Ya know, I love coming here. But darn, after asking for specific items many times, I've never ever had them call me back once. If you can't get something, please let me know. Always fun to browse and they're very nice folks. read more

I stopped by today because I heard they were running a series of specials (25% on Sat, 33% on Sun, and 50% on Monday). Being a fan of mostly funk, soul, Hip and R&B, the selection was a little limited, but great music nonetheless. Picked up albums from Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, and Mahalia Jackson for $7. While checking out, I shared with the guy working that I'm a fan of Funk and Hip Hop, and he pointed to crates of records near the door. I ended up picking up a dozen or so from the pile including albums from Jay Z, Maxwell, Wu Tang Clan, and others. Each album from the pile was $1, so ended up scoring a dozen records for under $20. Awesome selection and great customer service, I'll visit again! read more

A wonderland for the throwback audiophile. If your idea of heaven is thumbing through a selection of classic vinyl or surveying the specs on vintage receivers and turntables, look no further than Delta Breeze. Before looking no further, just make sure you look for it. It's located in an unassuming brick building apart from where you'd usually look for a shop of any kind. I can't help but start quoting lines from High Fidelity when I think about this place. "It's located in a neighborhood that attracts the bare minimum of window shoppers. I get by because of the people who make a special effort to shop here - mostly young men - who spend all their time looking for deleted Smiths singles and original, not rereleased - underlined - Frank Zappa albums." While there, chat up the owner or a fellow customer. This is your safe haven. read more

I needed to tune up a Technics 1200S turntable. They did an exemplary job at refurbishing for a reasonable price.

Guy from California hung up on me and did not know what a 8 track player was? Service is the Pitts?

Happened upon this place on a walk, and it's legit. Good variety of music and very personable staff.

We've been loyal customers of Delta Breeze since we stumbled upon them for the first time when they were still located in West Sacramento. Rick suggested some new music that blew my mind, while Ben helped me and my significant other put together our small tabletop system that sounds amazing and didn't break the bank. They're friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, they aren't afraid to give you a bargain. Every experience is a good experience with Delta Breeze! read more

Delta Breeze Records - High Fidelity Audio Equipment Near Me - Sacramento, California

love love LOVE this place. we were able to find some rare sacramento bands along with some new releases from local musicians.

This was an A+ record store experience. Quality inventory of jazz records, a small selection of modern funk, friendly and talkative owner with some great stories and chat, and some receivers and stereo equipment most vintage lovers would consider works of art. Prices were very fair. This store reminded me of some of my favorite record stores in Pittsburgh, where folks love music and are happy to share it with you. read more

Before I moved this was my spot. Super small, high quality stock and friendly owners. I found so many gems here it was insane. If you are serious about vinyl this is your place. If you hit record store on RSD only, this may not be what you are looking for. Treal recognize treal. read more

Excellent selection and wide variety of records. There are always deals on holidays and are appropriately priced. The two guys that work there are cool and laid back. This is my go to record store in Sac. read more

Ok, not only is this Sacramento's vintage stereo equipment and repair headquarters, they also have a rad selection of used records. At first glance you would think it's a bunch of garage sale type vinyl. But take a closer look and you'll see that they have a mountain of gems to mine through. A crate diggers delight. Go for the turntables, receivers, and speakers. Stay for the vinyl! I love this place! read more

I bought a turntable, speakers and a receiver from Delta early in the pandemic and am so happy I discovered this magical place. Amazing customer service and a fine collection, including classical music which is hard to find in vinyl shops. I got a great deal on the sound system with some new and some used. Skip mail order and Best Buy and head downtown! read more

Called in after hours of research not being able to find a new turntable under 100$, of quality, with features I actually needed. Wanted a no frills upgrade from one of those vintage looking ones from bed bath and beyond I'd been using for years. They had varying ranges in price in stock and showed me a brand I'd seen in my research as solid. Showed me other options on my request but did not try and upsell me. I was hesitant to call a vintage shop at first because when trying to buy a bike the salespeople/owners are always pretentious and rude about my lack of knowledge. Here I felt none of that, thry explained how to set things up, what was positive and negative about each device, etc. They were even incredibly generous with an add on to get me started. I'll definitely be back for more material to listen to on my great new set up! read more

The best record shop hands down. I've been buying records from Rick for over thirty years, back when he ran Esoteric records. Never been disappointed. His partner Ben is a wizard and he's repaired my record player with perfect results. Top quality records, top quality stereo equipment, what can be better? One of my top fave record shops ever. Cheers Delta Breeze, you're doing it right as always. read more

If you've ever put needle to groove, you have to check this place out. Ben has a guru's understanding of stereo equipment, and he's got a constantly-rotating stock of amazing speakers, stereos, and more. I bought my stereo system from Delta Breeze and couldn't be happier with it. Ben is a personable guy, very informative, and he really hooked me up with a great setup without breaking my bank. The selection of records is off the hook. They're constantly getting new stock, and you never know what you're going to come away with (although I find myself checking the Facebook feed for new postings frequently). I've purchased some serious grails from this spot. And their prices are refreshingly reasonable. When they get in the $20+ price range, it's completely worth it (first pressings that would easily cost double elsewhere), but most of the time a very good-condition album will run you around $8 or $10 max. But I've scored deals in their bargain bin that put other stores to shame . . . for $2. This is vinyl culture; Delta Breeze embodies what it's all about. Showing up at a shop, talking about music, holding the music in your hand, knowing the owner, asking what he's playing. This place is gold--you just pick the carat you're after. read more
