Late review but definitely still feel the same about this shop. Found them when i was trying to revive my Xbox original from the dead. The price they gave me was good for repairing a couple of things on it, can't recall exactly what but one of the repairs were old fuses. Came from Fairfield to get the job done. Customer service was great; first step is they take your Xbox or other console check it out and will let you know what it seems to be at a later date. Called me, let me know what seems wrong, gave me a price and if they have the green light started to work on it. I think from the day they finish repairing it, you have a month to come pick it up otherwise you lose your worldly possession. Foo you can't be mad about that a month is plenty. I had dusted my ps5 & accidentally broke off an important piece where the fan plugs in, I called them the next day & brought it in for repair within the hour. I paid a bit extra to have it done the same day, David got it done in less than an hour!! He even did the Liquid Metal in the ps5 as well!! He gave me tips on if I ever dust it again what to look out for & even let me know the SSD I was using wasn't correct & that it could burn out, letting me know which one I should get. Had a wonderful experience at this shop. Brought in an ailing PS4 for repairs, expecting the worst. Before checking the system in, the junior technician plugged in the system to see if they could get it to boot. Sure enough, they got a heartbeat! My digital ps5 had a loose Ethernet port that needed to be fixed. I've been to this establishment before when I had my ps5 disc version cleaned and had no problems. Idk what happened the 2nd time around but now my ps5 constantly freezes and is no longer in working condition. Was told it was my controller so I spent $80 on a new one only to have the same problem. Spent $170 with this store only to be told that they didn't cause the problem and shifted blame towards me when my ps5 was working great on WiFi before I brought it in to have my Ethernet port fixed. The way blame was shifted towards me showed me all that I needed to see, I'll just buy a new ps5 instead of going back n forth with you guys. read more

Brought my ps5 in with a broken disc reader. Staff in the store was extremely friendly and personable. Explained the process clearly of how they'd work on my console and gave me a timeframe. They let me know that they live stream the repairs as well which is very cool to see them working on my console. They let me know they were backed up but I was able to get my console in completely fixed in less than 2 days for a fair price. We've had our Xbox One X repaired here twice, both with same day service. First time one of my teenagers spilled something and it shorted out one of the chips. The 2nd time there was also a spill. Very poor customer service. I came in to pick up a console we had them diagnosed. I stood there waiting for about 15 minutes before i was even acknowledged. I get it they were busy, i waited patiently anyway. While the guy showed me that my device powered on, the phone rang and he answered it without any regard for me. I thought it was only going to be a few minutes but it went on for more than 10 minutes. I tried to get his attention and finish what he was helping me with but he didn't even acknowlege me. Then another guy came and berated me about how they cant lose business by not answering the phone. They clearly don't care about customers who have already paid, as long as they've taken my money, who cares how long i wait, right? He tried to make me feel bad for calling their attention. First of all, it is rude to go off answering another call while you are talking to someone else. Secondly, he said how it wasn't his problem that i was in a rush, like my time meant nothing. I only needed 5 minutes and i could've been out of there. And lastly, if you are so understaffed, why don't you hire more people. You clearly have more business than you can handle. Just because a customer has already paid you doesnt mean you can treat them horribly. I tried to be patient, i really did, but their attitude towards me was terrible from the beginning. Dont give these people your business, they'll take your money and then treat you like crap. read more

I had an issue with my SSD that I wasn't able to solve on my own. I first took my PC to Tech2U and got absolutely terrible service. Nobody was returning my calls to check on my PC while they had it in their possession. Also when they finally reached out, they told me it was be a 14 day wait just for an estimate. That is incredibly unrealistic in this day and age of people working from home. Shortly after, I reached out to you guys and was contacted by David. He got back to me immediately and it clearly wasn't an automated response. I could tell he not only wanted to help me, but made me feel like a priority. I brought my PC in and was instantly in love with the feeling of nostalgia when walking into their store. I met David and he was so transparent and down to earth. He really made me feel comfortable dropping off my equipment to be fixed. I gave David the run down of my issues and he assured me he'd have it fixed as fast as he could. The very next day David had my pc fixed. Not only did he resolve the issue, he also connected my rear fan and cleaned the PC without even asking. This place is great! I came in with several devices which I needed to have data recovered for. David who worked there was very helpful in pulling the data for all of the devices where possible. This was actually while we were dealing with a death in the family which for obvious reasons is very stressful. When we needed to pull old family photos, Computer Booter not only helped with this, but also were very pleasant and enjoyable to speak with. Here are some highlights: -For data recovery, I didn't have to pay if data wasn't pulled (for all the weird devices I brought in, they were only unable to pull pics for one, and recommend a service that could though it is more expensive and will take time) -David was always clear about the process he would use to try and pull the data and the implications. -He also found creative solutions to pull data for some of the items which were not simple -The prices ended up being very reasonable compared to other services I checked out read more

This owner of the shop did me a solid back in December and I am just getting around to writing this review. My nephew (a 9 year old) only wanted one thing for Christmas, for his Nintendo Switch to be repaired - it would no longer turn on or charge!! We had no idea what happened but this shop was able to fix it the day I dropped it off, though he made no promises as he had several other orders to fill.
