A friend alerted me to the existence of David's TV Repair a month or so back and I really, really wish I had known about it sooner! Despite "TV Repair" being in the name, David seems comfortable working on all kinds of consumer electronics. I brought him a 25 year old Denon receiver that had never had a single problem until recently giving out one day. David was able to diagnose the issue, find the part and finish the job all within a few days and at a good price. He also sells used equipment, which got me to ask about a possible 3D TV. I had one years ago but it died (I REALLY wish I'd known about David at the time!) and I haven't been able to watch my 3D Blu-rays for almost a decade. David hooked me up with a Samsung that he'd serviced but never got picked up by the owner. After two failed attempts to locate the correct glasses (%^$#! active 3D!), I finally found the right ones and have been very happily enjoying 3D again. My 75" Samsung was having problems after only 3 years. David had good reviews so I transported my TV from Roseville to Carmichael. Best move I could've made. Dave did a diagnostic for only $40. After searching online for the symptoms of my TV's behavior I was certain of the problem and that attempting to fix it myself was way beyond my capability. I called several shops and checked them on Yelp. Called Samsung customer service for their recommendation too. I chose David's after seeing that the shop recommended by Samsung had horrible reviews. Also, from calling around I was most confident in David. Sure glad I chose him. When I got to his shop he remembered our phone conversation and told me he checked his inventory and he already had the needed part in stock. So instead of having to leave my set he fixed it while I waited. He also cleaned it up, showed me what was broken, and told me how to fix another unrelated issue with the frame around the set. I walked in with my elderly in-law's 60 inch Vizio TV not knowing what to expect but knew they couldn't afford a new one. David greeted me with a smile and quickly said this is a good TV not to old and well worth the fix rather than new. He said I charge $40 for a diagnostic fee (which i felt was super affordable) and said I will call you in 2 hours and let you know what is wrong. One hour later he called, saying it was the power supply (or something like that) and it will be this much in material and labor and that he can have it fixed and ready to pick up for you tomorrow. It was way cheaper than I expected, he fixed it and called me the next day to say it was ready to pick up. This guy is really professional and honest, i brought my tactical green laser in and asked him if he can help, i broke my spring witch connects to the battery and my welding on my spring was very loose and thin, david told me he can fix it, he actually made it bettet and stronger, made the welding thick on both sides. My 70inch big screen Visio TV stopped turning on suddenly, so I googled and found Davids TV Repair. 1) Answers the phone quickly 2) Came out to my house the very next day and showed up exactly like he said he would. 3) Diagnosed the problem almost instantly and gave me a price. Once he got the board in (power supply), he came right out and installed it. The whole thing only took about 3 days. He even made some adjustments to the color settings that he said would prolong the screen life. This is the kind of service that is just a treasure to come across now days!
