This place is a real hit and miss, it just depends on whether or not you get lucky. For basic repairs I would not recommend, but if you need something specific done they may be a good option. My experience was largely positive. I requested a repair on a game console a while back. It was a 15 minute job, but required some equipment that I do not have. Labor was vastly overpriced (15 minute job, $10 for parts, $90 for labor), but it is understandable. They have to have a price floor, and the repair I needed done was short and specific. Overall, it turned out fine. The device has not had issues since, and none of my data was destroyed. Regardless, I recommend always making a backup of your data before consulting any repair company. 10/10 for my specific instance, but look out. If you are on a tight budget or do not know how to back up your data, I would perhaps practice extra discernment in your search. read more

I took my phone in because my phone wasn't charging, either by cable or wirelessly. They took my $50 diagnostic fee and asked for two hours to investigate - I gave them four. When I returned, they said it might be the battery ($83 repair and they'd have to order it and could have it back in 7-10 days), but said it might be something to do with the screen assembly (or something like that), and that would be $178 and they had that in stock. I said fine, just get it working, as I had a surgery scheduled and needed a way to communicate with my support team. I gave them more time, and their assessment was that it wasn't that either - they said my phone showed no signs of life and I'd need to buy a new phone. But they didn't charge me the $178 after testing it to see if it would work. So, I went to Best Buy and chatted with GeekSquad for a second opinion - they told me UbreakIfix was now a mainstream repair shop, doing mainly warranty work for the major carriers, and anything beyond simple repairs wasn't their thing...and that I'd probably be able to get it fixed at a "mom&pop" shop. GeekSquad said they couldn't work on a phone as old as mine (5 years), and recommended a shop in Folsom that their customers had success with. I bought a new phone for $750 since I was already there, and was willing to risk forfeiting a $45 re-stocking fee to return it if I managed to get my phone working. I didn't go to the shop recommended by GeekSquad, but found Salmaan Phone Repair in Rocklin and he had my phone working in less than 10 minutes (I'll write a review for him, too). The issue was a bad FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) cable - the cable that connects the charging port to the daughterboard. 2 stars for not being able to diagnose a basic power issue -1 star for telling me my phone would never work again +1 star for positive experience with the uBiF person that followed up with me when I complained about their non-refundable diagnostic fee when the diagnosis was 100% incorrect. read more

Do not bring your phone to this location. Bad service scammers. They offer a free cleaning service to phone but in reality they charge your insurance as a separate claim an additional $50-$75 dollars. And if you refuse their free cleaning services when repairing your phone they will not clean any of the inside witch should be already done part of replacing a Brocken screen. They will up charge insurance any chance they get they don't have your best interest at hand only looking out for themselves. read more

I brought my iPad in for repair yesterday and they quoted me $100 (which I signed for). They called me back today and tried to tell me I had not signed a price agreement and that it would be $210. I went in to see if they would work with me on this, but they would not. If I were a small- business owner, I would eat the $110 for the sake of keeping the business of a family of 4 who has been coming to them for years (they have made $800 off my husband's phone this past year alone!!). If they had even met me halfway or something, that would have made me feel better. Nope, nothing. At least they refunded the $70 deposit I had given them yesterday. read more

I just stopped in to get a replacement for a cracked IPhone 16 Pro screen protector and possibly a pretty case! I didn't have much luck with a case, they only had 1 clear. On the other hand they did have a nice Tempered Glass Screen Protector which they put on by my request. I suck at it lol! It cost $30 and took about that amount of time, since it took the staff a few tries to get it one on the phone. That being said, it's the best placement for a screen protector I've seen on my phone, no bubbles or lint on the screen! read more

If this outfit were not a Dell-authorized computer repair facility, I would not have gone within a mile of it, given a name like UBreakIFix. This organization is a one-trick pony. They are laser-focused on identifying hardware components that are either failing or have failed. They do so by running a component "torture test" to identify which components are affected. I cannot speak to what they do when they find faulty components, because my computer passed their test, despite the fact that it has been freezing up while I am using it. Their technicians are arrogant and dismissive when asked about any possible software issues. Either they don't know anything about software problems, or they don't want to waste their time discussing that kind of problem. One suspects that hardware issues are the low-hanging fruit in the computer repair business. If you want to confirm that your computer problems are NOT hardware-related, this is the place to go. If your computer problems are software-related, find another option. I can say that they run their "torture test" quickly, so you will get the answer quickly, for $70. read more

Very good explanation; quick and expert serv ice. Very reasonable price. Took abouut 20 minutes, charged $20 and dealt with 3 issues.

They stole my $80 deposit on an order for a part that was the wrong part. I called multiple times afterwards and was told every time that the manager was not in to approve it but they would let him know. Either nobody ever let him know or they had no intention of ever refunding it. read more

Took my phone in to get the battery replaced, got charged $140, and came away with the rear camera on the phone non-operational. Fun times! And the camera issue was only brought up because I noticed it. The technician didn't check whether it was working or not. Also, their tiny lobby and speed of customer service makes the DMV look like the gold standard of efficiency. I was literally waiting in their lobby for an hour, despite having an appointment (which it turns out doesn't save you any time). A few months ago I was in the DMV for a total of 45 minutes from start to finish to get a new license. I get that people come in with all sorts of issues. But that is just excruciating. Speaking of appointments and service, uBreakiFix are terrible with notifications. I had to call them several times just to get a battery ordered. And I had to call them to find out if my phone was ready for pickup, despite them telling me they would contact me via my wife's phone (she never received a call). Appointments are completely meaningless to this company. The employees there that I interacted with were all very professional and tried their best to help. So that's a plus. But in most ways it was a horrible experience. And not the bad one first. In fact, I've gone here before a few times and it's never been positive. But this latest one takes the cake. If you do have to go here (which is likely because mobile phone repair places are so rare), make sure you allocate yourself at least an hour. You might want to take a folding chair and a good book too. read more

Well, they are certainly NOT fast. But they are Google certified, so my Pixel was fixed here under warranty. They said it was going to be an "all day" repair, but they also said when I dropped it off maybe by 2pm. At 3, still not done. At 6:30, nearing done. At 6:56, (they close at 7) inside still waiting to even be welcomed in. One employee in the lobby. 5 customers. To be fair, the employee got most of the people out pretty quickly. Myself and the other customer were still waiting. 6:59 - employee still in the back Turns out Google sent the wrong part, so my "one day" repair turned into a MONTH. The guys at this shop did alright, and went to bat with Google for me, but the whole repair was a giant mess. Ended up setting and resetting 3 different phones before they got it right. read more

Wow! I was literally shocked by my experience here. I came in with a broken charge port $160+ they said nahh it just needs cleaned (it wasn't obvious it needs cleaned) So under $50 I got my iPhone cleaned and my charger is once again working. I think it took him about 12 minutes. I will definitely be coming back for any phone issues I have The only NEGATIVE! The waiting are is super busy and disorganized. They need a "your line starts here" sign and then they need someone at the front who can be efficient and work through customers at a good pace read more

Avoid. Took in $4K gaming laptop after it has sparked when plugging in the 2nd power cord. Alienware had them listed as an authorized service. Laptop was working and still charging off of 1 cord. They spent a week to tell us they couldn't replicate the problem. Week later it happens again and screen goes black. We take it back again, they tell us it needs a new port - we wait 2 weeks for the part to come in only for them to then tell us the motherboard is fried and they couldn't fix it. There are 2 possible scenarios - either they didn't bother to open it up when they first told us it was the port and see that the motherboard was fried; or they replaced the port then fried the motherboard. Either way, we wasted a month and they told us they couldn't fix it. All while they collected our new membership fees. The follow up, we spent $40 to ship directly to Alienware/Dell. Within a day they diagnosed the issues, repaired it the next day, and it's already on the way back to us. Save your time and money and don't bother with this shop. read more

Friendly, reliable and inexpensive!! I have come here in the past to have my cracked screen repaired, and today I came back because I was at my wits end dealing with a black screen on my iPhone 11 Pro. Whereas the Genius Bar did not detect an issue with my display, the techs here not only were able to see the problem and recommend a solution but also did it in less than half the time I sat around at Apple yesterday. I will always come here for any tech issue. I need resolved! read more

uBreakiFix - Brand new screen thanks to Tim!! - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Citrus Heights, California

To start, this was the absolute worst experience I've had with any electronic service ever. Beginning on day one, (October 15th) I dropped my Galaxy Z Fold 3 off for repair. I am given a 3-4 hour estimate for my screen repair so I decide to kill some time by having lunch nearby. 4 hours go by without any response, so I call and am told that the part they had on hand is defective and they will need to order a new one. Red flag 1: Why was I not called or told about this? Had I not called, when would I have known that I should go home rather than sitting waiting for my repair? Gabriel the manager says the new screen will arrive in 2-3 days. 3 days pass and I call to request an update only for them to tell me the order didn't go through and they now have to make a new ticket and order it again. Red flag 2: Again, notice that I am the one calling and trying to push this process forward. Nobody seems to be making sure the orders are being taken care of. A few more days pass and finally the status of my device has changed to "Quality Inspection" on the ubreakifix repair tracker. According to the site my device is already fully repaired and is undergoing an inspection process before being returned to me. I call and ask how long this usually takes, I am told the device will be ready by the end of the day. The day passes and I call the next afternoon and am told the device will be ready by the end of the day again. 2 days pass and there are still no updates so I call again and am told that they are awaiting a confirmation from Samsung that the repair is finished. I have not had my device for more than a week now. About a week later I call to request an update and am told by multiple managers that they are doing their best to rush a response from Samsung. At this point I have moved to Los Angeles and am no longer able to pick up the device, so I request that it be shipped to me when it's ready. I'm told that an associate will call tomorrow to update me, as before, I received no such call. A few more days pass and I finally receive a call. I am now told that the camera module is fully working but not passing a diagnostic test for some reason, and they cannot release the device unless it passes all of these tests. Their solution is to order a new module and replace it, they say this will take another 2-3 days. Knowing this was a very optimistic estimate on their behalf, I decided to wait 4 days before calling to check in on my device. During my call I am told that the new module did not fix the issue, and that they will re-install all the original parts back onto the device (Which are broken) and then ship it back to me. I agree thinking that I would rather have a broken phone than no phone as I have been without my main phone for almost a month. An entire week passes with no update, and no phone at my door before I finally receive another call from ubreakifix. I am let down once again as they inform me the device for whatever reason was never shipped and has sat for another week at their store. It's now November 17th, and I just received my device in the mail. With phones of this type having 12 month lifespans before either breaking or becoming outdated, I have lost over a month of time with my 2000 dollar phone due to ubreakifix's incompetence. Moral of the story, if you're looking to have a warranty service done here, don't. I recommend politely declining Samsung's request of bringing the device here, and simply shipping it out directly to them to avoid the mess that is ubreakifix. EDIT: Shipped my device to Samsung and they had my device fixed and looking like new in a total of 4 business days. read more

Super disappointed in the service I received. The customer service on the phone was like a 7, helpful, nice. But once I went inside, the level of service was at a zero. First time I went in the guy made me feel really stupid cause I couldn't explain something properly and even tried talking me out of fixing it. Second time I came in there was No rush to help customers when there was a line out the door, im talking like 6 people deep. When I was finally helped, he seemed like he was really tired cause he kept yawning in my face. The level of communication is terrible. I had to ask questions rather than them giving me the basic information needed when someone drops off a product. When I came to pick my product up, same lazy yawning guy was there and was on the phone talking down a pissed off customer. Also what i found odd was he didn't give me a receipt and said "well if you need anything thing else from me, like a receipt, you have a nice day". So I had to ask for my receipt. Terrible customer service, terrible work ethic, no pep in anyone's step. I will never come back again. read more

That sounds like a great deal and a great program but actually the first time I tried to use this extended warranty to fix my PlayStation they said they cannot fix it and it couldn't be fixed. The good part is they did not charge me ( they couldn't) but the bad part is it took 4 days to tell me they could not fix it. Then all I did was take it to a computer shop down the street and they had it fixed the same day and they fixed it for cheaper!! 2 thumbs down read more

uBreakiFix seems like the way to go for Google phones since they are one of the few around certified and probably have the parts on hand to get the job done. My Pixel3a's screen was jacked and texting like o7088aweorjqe38 instead of "Nah, bruh." I called a couple spots around town for pricing to fix the screen. The shops were telling me they'd have to order the parts. uBreakiFix quoted a competitive price and said they could do it same day. Easy decision. And they followed through. My phone looks good as new, functions well. They even cleaned lint from my charge port so charging is a less janky wiggling the cord in just right process. BOOM. My daughter cracked the back of her iPhone 11 promax. Every other place seemed like they were $300-$250 to fix it, and this place did it for 99 bucks. What a RIPP OFF this place is. I took my Samsung Galaxy S7 FE 12.4 128GB (SM-T733NZKEXAR - Tablet) to them on February 28, 2022. The tablet glass was shattered and the frame was warped. They looked at it and said it will be $400 in parts and $100 in labor. I said they are $599 at Best Buy on sale $469.99. They could have given to shits! So after leaving in shock, I called Samsung and got a ticket going. They sent me return label. They called me and said it be $169.00 and look brand new out of the box. It took about 7 days to fix. I received on Thursday 3, 2022. Pictures are here and you can take a look for your self. Moral of the story, if you're looking to have a warranty service done here, don't. I recommend politely declining Samsung's request of bringing the device here, and simply shipping it out directly to them to avoid the mess that is ubreakifix. read more

Took my Samsung S5 there. He told me it needed a charging port, and it would cost $275, he said. "Probably not worth it", he said. I went next door to AT&T, to look at new phones, but decided to go ahead and get mine fixed. Back to UbreakIfix. Told him "let's go ahead and fix it". He determined that, due to their status now as a Samsung authorized repair shop, and the fact that my phone had been repaired by them previously, before they were Samsung authorized, they would not be able to work on it. I asked for a recommendation. He told me of a shop a mile and a half up the street, and said "They'll be able to fix it for about $70". ~~~~ Here's the thing: If his price was $275, and he knew I could get it fixed for $70, he should have told me that BEFORE he figured out he was not going to be able to do the work! ~~~ btw, the shop up the street fixed it for $49! read more
