I used the Yelp service quote feature to get a quote to repair my broken headphones from various businesses in the area. Fix My Gadget responded with a quote to repair my headphones for a flat $35. When I went to the location on 11/27 to drop off my headphones, the young guy took the headphones and charged me $35 for the repair and gave no indication of when they would be fixed just that they would call us. Later that evening I received a text message that they found the issue, parts will be ordered, and the headphones will be ready for pickup in a week . There was no communication of the cost of these parts, that they were in addition to the $35 I had already paid, or confirming if I wanted to continue with the repair knowing the new cost. They just ordered the parts and assumed I would pay for them. One week later, on 12/5 I hadn't heard from Fix My Gadget, so I texted. I got a response that the parts were arriving on 12/6 and by 12/7 the repair would be done. On 12/7 I hadn't heard back...again, so I texted. Fix My Gadget responded saying the parts will be delivered on 12/14. Another week later, on 12/14, I hadn't heard bak, so I texted....again. I got a response that the headphones were ready for pickup. When I arrived at the store, I tested the headphones and everything worked great. I'm guessing these were different headphones altogether, because they wouldn't pair with the devices they were previously paired with at originally. In addition, Fix My Gadget charged me an addition $62 for "parts" which they never communicated or confirmed I was willing to pay. Come to find out, the $35 I originally paid was a nonrefundable deposit as the person at the business explained to us their process, but it was the first time we heard it. Overall I paid almost $100 for my repairs that I was not expecting. The communication was most likely broken down due to the multiple ways we contacted the business where each representative probably assumed our first point of contact explained things, but we were unhappy with the information we got during the entire process. We were happy that Fix My Gadget was able to fix my headphones in the end. I think anyone who uses their services will need to ask more questions than we did and the experience will be better. read more

I had my husband go in to get my phone diagnosed because the screen turned white and then turned black and would not turn back on. First they tried one screen after 4 hours of my phone being in their office it was glitchy and did not work. They tried another screen that one also didn't work then they tried a 3rd screen that they did not state was $350. They had my husband in there for 4 1/2 hours and even an hour past closing time. He was arguing with the owner of the shop over the phone for those entire 4 hours trying to get a refund for the $130.66 and they finally agreed to refund it since we did not want the screen and they took it off and put my broken one back on. They ended up giving him $87.00 back and scammed $43.66 out of the money we paid. No this did not include the $35 deposit that you have to pay to get your phone diagnosed which you do not get refunded which is understandable. They then came to the conclusion that the battery is bad in my phone and needed to be replace and the owner of the store wanted another $35 to diagnose if my battery is actually bad and then however much more on top of that to replace the battery he said no and left at 8pm last night. He went back in today and the owner was refusing to answer the workers phone calls because they have to get verification that they can give cash back. I did the math on the markup price of the original $150 screen replacement that they still wanted to sell to me even though it was glitching and malfunctioning. I found the website they order from and they are charging a 74.43% markup on replacing the screen. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT MONEY SCAMMED FROM YOU. I will be going back myself and getting my money back. read more

Came here today to get my phone fixed for a cracked screen. They charged me 260 to fix my phone. First they couldn't get my card to go through (knowing I have money that's very frustrating) only to find out it's because their internet was down, so here we are standing there for 20 minutes to just pay and to get a understanding of how long they will need to fix it. I left and had lunch came back two hours later and still wasn't done. Now we are hitting three hours and just to be given back after market parts. They tried to pawn off like it's real apple parts but clearly isn't. But what I'm upset about is that the lady was just insanely rude, didn't care to try to make things right. Upon first glance you might be tempted to write this tiny electronics shop off. Don't. After another shop ignored and skipped over me I found this shop. I'm so glad I did. When I first walked in to this crowded shop in Country Club Mall I was greeted by a line of people. Ergh. But the woman who was working the day I went in was a dynamo. My toddler broke the screen on our Apple IPad 4. I asked around and this place quoted me $99, whereas everyone else said $200 or more. The screen was cracked with no black spots. I decided to take it here, even though it's 30 min from my home. When I got there Thursday morning, I was told it would be $199 because the damage to the screen was more than they expected. Since I had already driven that far, I agreed for them to fix it. They said 4 hrs. I waited around with my 3yo, did various activities around the mall. Went back around 4pm, iPad is still not fixed. The lady, Sarah, promised to deliver it to my house (which is the only reason this place received 2 stars, they had nice manners). I paid, and waited for her text. I fell asleep while putting my kid to sleep and didn't hear her calls around 8:30pm. I drove back and picked it up on Saturday, only to find a huge air pocket (1st picture). She said she'll fix it. We picked iPad up before closing and found dark spots in the corners and some parts of the screen (the last two pics). I haven't talked to Sarah yet about this issue (my husband picked up the iPad), but I really just don't want to leave my iPad there any longer. This iPad cost me $800. Not sure how much more I am willing to spend to get this screen fixed. :| read more

My phone charger was going bad so I came in here to pick up a new one. Ahmed sold me a charger but he also saw my broken phone that was in my hand. I had fixed it before but then a day later it broke again. The guy who fixed the phone the first time broke one of the buttons and I couldn't use it. He lied to me after about a spring being loose . Ahmed realized this for me and told me about how the other guy lied to me beacuse that button has no spring. He fixed the phone and the button in a few minutes. Ahmed was also cheaper then any other place in town that ive taken my phone to be fixed. I know he used a better screen too. Last night I dropoed my phone off of a two story balcony and the new screen survived the fall with no cracks. It wouldnt have done that before it was fixed. So happy that I dropped in here. Anyone that knows me knows I break my phone screen at least once a month. I have been to so many phone fixing places from Sacramento to Santa Clara and this is the only place I'll go to going forward. Right when you walk in you are greeted with what looks like a smile (masks) and a cheerful attitude. Mohammad fixed my phone in like 10 minutes and for the cheap. It's $140 for an iPhone pro 11 and the screen is great quality. Cracked my phone screen on drunken night in London this past summer and needed to get my phone fixed. I waited awhile cause I was on the fence about upgrading a new model despite my phone still being newish and nothing too exciting happening with the iPhone 13. Looked up for the cost for a screen repair at Apple and it was $200. Found this place due to it being so close to where I live and decided to give it a shot.
