Employees are kind and store is organized. A lot of Pop-It's were on the floor in the back, which makes it difficult to browse through if you have lower back issues or neck pain. I saw two special edition Britney Spears Pop-It - one was priced $24.99 and the other $17.99 but they were identical. I ended up purchasing the $17.99 one of course. Unsure why the differences in price. The pricing is different as well compared to other stores. I noticed a Pika-Chu Pop-it I purchased for $4.99 at the Folsom location being sold for $7.99 here.

Not sure why so many bad review because this place is awesome! Went in today while in Sac and was blown away with the inventory. They have literally anything and everything cool or collectible. Sports, Clothes, Music, Video Games, Toys, Shoes, etc etc etc. The prices were super reasonable on most items we looked it. Hats were like $4.99 and half of them were brand new. Video game systems were extremely reasonable along with games. The decorations and mass amount of stuff in the store is shocking. It's shocking when you first walk in because the store is literally packed. Finally the staff were super chill and helpful. We will definitely be back to The Cave.

I call bullshit ! I went to trade in a few items with my 9 year old grandson. To our surprise , I got a text saying we had $271 store credit ! When we got to the store they were having trouble locating our trade in , so I was having my grandson select some items he had been hoping to get . When we get to the counter , I'm informed they made a "mistake" and we only had $10 in credit , they had the wrong items listed for our trade ins . I understand mistakes happen , but I asked if they could at least comp a $20 item for the huge disappointment my grandson faced . No , wouldn't do it . Not the customer service I would expect when it comes to just being decent people . Do your job right in the first place in stead of a "bait and switch". Very dissatisfied with the whole way this was handled

This place has ALL KINDS of items to peruse. I think the best way I can describe the Cave is a pawn shop for people who like anime, comics, video games, toys and vintage clothes. (My 14 year old corrected me to say Vintage instead of consignment, ) You need time or multiple visits to try to see everything in the store. But there is probably something different every time you go. My kids bought a pair of Jordan's each. I was looking for Robotech or Voltron figures. I was told by the cashier that they had a Voltron before the holidays but it got picked up pretty quick. I will have to keep them out to see if one pops up.

My kids and I are literally obsessed with the Cave. Vintage tshirts & vinyl. You'll need time to thumb through it all, but totally worth it.

You can pickup some cheap vinyl outside, or you can go in and peruse a small but decent selection. I was able to get an interesting colored vinyl variant of Aesop Rock's "Daylight" EP while I was there at a reasonable price, and was also able to have a conversation about said record with the guy working. It felt like an old school genuine record store vibe, which is disappearing and appreciated. They have a lot of junk - in the most loving way - that you may want to get, like collectible toys. Not so much of the Funko Pop variety, but more like actual toys you might remember playing with - like He Man and the Masters of the Universe, or The Simpsons figures. I like that more than the "everything is still in a box and not meant to actually be enjoyed" variety, so this place is cool there. It's a nice little place to swing into to just look around, maybe pick up a record, and have a cool convo. Can't complain about any of that.

As someone who has loved reading since childhood, bookstores have always been a special place for me--and this location has never lost its charm. Whenever I'm near the mall, stopping in here is a must. It's honestly a little dangerous how easy it is to walk out with several books, so I have to pace myself--but that just speaks to how great their selection is. They consistently carry a wide variety of genres I enjoy, and I always find something that catches my eye. The staff have always been helpful and approachable. Whether I've needed help tracking down a specific title, requesting something not in stock, checking a price, or even signing up for a rewards card, they've made the process smooth and easy every time. Over the years, I've also loved seeing how they've expanded beyond books. There's a great selection of board games, anime merchandise, and other fun finds, which makes browsing even more enjoyable. The store is well-organized, and I have always loved that you can freely flip through books before deciding to buy. I've purchased everything from genre fiction to cookbooks, toys, and picture books for my son when he was younger--there really is something here for everyone with a love for stories and a bit of whimsy. Prices are fair, the quality is great, and I've even discovered new authors and series I wouldn't have found otherwise. This Barnes & Noble will always hold a special place in my heart. It's more than just a bookstore--it's a place full of memories.

I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this store today…read more I saw two Xbox games priced the same -- one with a clean case but no disc inside, and another with a disc but a damaged case. Since there was no sign indicating that discs are kept behind the counter, l reasonably assumed the disc was missing and placed it into the better case. Instead of calmly explaining their policy, the employee immediately responded in an aggressive and disrespectful way, telling me to "put that shit back." Only afterward did he explain that the discs are kept at the counter - something that should have been clearly communicated to customers in the first place. A simple explanation would have avoided the entire situation. Being spoken to like that was unnecessary, unprofessional, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. What made this even more upsetting was reading another customer's review describing how staff openly discussed taking advantage of a child who unknowingly brought in a rare Galaxy 3DS XL and traded it for a regular 3DS -- which is far less valuable. Instead of informing the child of what he had, they reportedly took advantage of the situation and even bragged about it afterward.Seeing behavior like that toward a kid is honestly disturbing and unethical. After experiencing the rude treatment myself, it's hard to believe this was an isolated incident. On top of all of this, many of the games and consoles here are significantly overpriced compared to other stores. This is especially concerning for beginners or casual gamers who may not yet know typical market values. Between the aggressive customer service, lack of clear communication, unethical behavior, and high prices, this is not a store I would return to or recommend.
