A Gem that has no equal!
Bob G.

1st trip: As a DJ I have a pretty good idea of what value, selection, and organization of a good record store should be. My expectations are high, and I'm always looking for VALUE. This store has all of that and more! Love the organization - it makes it easier and more efficient to find what I'm looking for. Saving time also adds value - the prices here? Very reasonable and their bargain CDs are a superb value. Found some popular artist albums (got 5 artists I'm looking to complete their individual album collections. Found all 5 artists albums that included discs I were missing - even a Grateful Dead double live in the "6 albums for $5" bin! Nice! Found a new Hendrix release "Valleys Of Neptune" in perfect new like condition for $5, a "Warner Archives" Tower Of Power 2 disc set (35 songs) for $10 - try doing that on iTunes! Love this place and will visit EVERY-TIME I'm in this area! 2nd trip: found some new offerings in the "6 for $5" bin (12) to be exact, a new Santana I've never seen ($4) and a Mott The Hoople double CD greatest hits that perfectly represents their 4 album output - no more looking for those other two albums which have been impossible to find used. Again, great selection, fair pricing and really good finds! Worth a stop every time I visit the area!!! Wish I could rate it 6 stars!!!

Great selection and prices. James, the owner, has an encyclopedic knowledge of music and movies. Just ask him for advice!

You can pickup some cheap vinyl outside, or you can go in and peruse a small but decent selection. I was able to get an interesting colored vinyl variant of Aesop Rock's "Daylight" EP while I was there at a reasonable price, and was also able to have a conversation about said record with the guy working. It felt like an old school genuine record store vibe, which is disappearing and appreciated. They have a lot of junk - in the most loving way - that you may want to get, like collectible toys. Not so much of the Funko Pop variety, but more like actual toys you might remember playing with - like He Man and the Masters of the Universe, or The Simpsons figures. I like that more than the "everything is still in a box and not meant to actually be enjoyed" variety, so this place is cool there. It's a nice little place to swing into to just look around, maybe pick up a record, and have a cool convo. Can't complain about any of that.

My family and I frequent this place and find that the time does pass by here quite quickly...quite enjoyably. There are seating areas around where you can take a book for a spin before purchasing. There's just so much to enjoy... The place is brightly lit and well decorated. Apart from books, there's a lot more other things you can buy...vinyl records, toys, even model kits you can assemble in your spare time. And there is always the staff, friendly and knowledgeable about the store and its merchandise. The items are a little on the expensive side, but the quality is worth it. As someone who has loved reading since childhood, bookstores have always been a special place for me--and this location has never lost its charm. Whenever I'm near the mall, stopping in here is a must. It's honestly a little dangerous how easy it is to walk out with several books, so I have to pace myself--but that just speaks to how great their selection is. They consistently carry a wide variety of genres I enjoy, and I always find something that catches my eye. The staff have always been helpful and approachable. Whether I've needed help tracking down a specific title, requesting something not in stock, checking a price, or even signing up for a rewards card, they've made the process smooth and easy every time. Over the years, I've also loved seeing how they've expanded beyond books. There's a great selection of board games, anime merchandise, and other fun finds, which makes browsing even more enjoyable. The store is well-organized, and I have always loved that you can freely flip through books before deciding to buy. I've purchased everything from genre fiction to cookbooks, toys, and picture books for my son when he was younger--there really is something here for everyone with a love for stories and a bit of whimsy. Prices are fair, the quality is great, and I've even discovered new authors and series I wouldn't have found otherwise. This Barnes & Noble will always hold a special place in my heart. It's more than just a bookstore--it's a place full of memories.

If you're into punk / metal / hardcore, they have a great selection, but I've also picked up some good hip-hop, jazz, folk, and country stuff here, too. The dude that works behind the counter is super friendly, chatty, and seems to genuinely appreciate people being there. The sign even says "Friendliest Record Store." I'll be honest - as a former record store employee with a terrible attitude that kind of put me off at first. But as I've gotten older and less unruly, it was appreciated when I was able to wax nostalgic about wax with him. Good selection of 7"s, too - and if you look at their website you can virtually check what's in stop before hitting them up. Oh, and they have sales - often! - that are noted on their Instagram page. Need more shops like this. Need more people to support shops like this. I'm a fan.

Pricing is affordable ($5-10). Fiction selection was well-populated, including not only the usual best-sellers, but what seemed like a curated collection of interesting books from the past several decades. I didn't spend much time looking at the classics section (again, always appreciate having classics separated out from fiction), but it was reasonably sized. Overall, recommend, I could have spent much longer browsing! I will certainly keep it in mind for another visit the next time I am in the area.

I remember browsing books here, especially sci-fi and classics from my 20s, good times. The store is much bigger now and has a lot more to offer. Bookstores have transformed themselves to sell a lot of other items these days, I'm old school and used to just books and more books, but it's kind of cool to see records, and some gift items that come in handy for a last minute gift-giving. The amount of Knick knacks here were quite a lot though. Could be a bit dizzying. I saw canvas bags, Tsweatshirts, and souvenirs on sale. Staff is generally helpful if you are looking for something in particular and can't find the book or that category of books. The thing that set Beers apart is that they have a lot of used and/or specialty books you might not find in other store and just won't come across online if you're not into that topic or don't know that author, but here, you might just be browsing and discover a new book genre or a new author in a genre you already read, and that is what makes Beers cool.

I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this store today…read more I saw two Xbox games priced the same -- one with a clean case but no disc inside, and another with a disc but a damaged case. Since there was no sign indicating that discs are kept behind the counter, l reasonably assumed the disc was missing and placed it into the better case. Instead of calmly explaining their policy, the employee immediately responded in an aggressive and disrespectful way, telling me to "put that shit back." Only afterward did he explain that the discs are kept at the counter - something that should have been clearly communicated to customers in the first place. A simple explanation would have avoided the entire situation. Being spoken to like that was unnecessary, unprofessional, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. What made this even more upsetting was reading another customer's review describing how staff openly discussed taking advantage of a child who unknowingly brought in a rare Galaxy 3DS XL and traded it for a regular 3DS -- which is far less valuable. Instead of informing the child of what he had, they reportedly took advantage of the situation and even bragged about it afterward.Seeing behavior like that toward a kid is honestly disturbing and unethical. After experiencing the rude treatment myself, it's hard to believe this was an isolated incident. On top of all of this, many of the games and consoles here are significantly overpriced compared to other stores. This is especially concerning for beginners or casual gamers who may not yet know typical market values. Between the aggressive customer service, lack of clear communication, unethical behavior, and high prices, this is not a store I would return to or recommend.
