Looking for a great spot to pick up a gift for anyone on your list, or pick up something fun for…read moreyourself? Strapping is the perfect spot! We stop into Strapping often and love seeing the changing stock of fun items. They stock seasonal items, along with a variety of cute, quirky, edgy, and fun items. Truly a little something for everyone. I personally love the home goods and have picked up a variety of items like candles, spoon rests, flower pots, and more. They have a lot of Sacramento items as well and even have items for different neighborhoods. Some of these are items from their team, and some are sourced from local vendors. There's a good mix of local business items, small business items, and popular items that make this a much different experience than other gift shops. Keep an eye on their social media for new item stocks, special events, and pop ups. You could stop by weekly and find new items to fall in love with.

If you're in the area, definitely pop in.... it's worth a look. The store was super clean with a welcoming vibe. The employee working was really nice and helpful without being pushy, which I always appreciate. I ended up leaving with a couple of cute little gifts for my mom and boyfriend, and the prices were totally reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back as the holidays get closer. I saw a bunch of things that would make great stocking stuffers or even some hilarious white elephant gifts. Love finding spots like this :)

They have gifts for every taste and you never know what you're going to find that you just have to have for your own place. With selections of items from jewelry and stickers to ceramics, candles, lotions, children's items, and more. Some of my favorite items to browse are the candles for the latest seasonal scents, the local items, and the ceramics. The best part is that they refresh inventory and bring in seasonal items so everytime you visit there's something new to look at. On top of the great variety of items for purchase, they partner with local businesses for events and experiences where you can craft, learn more about products, and get hands on. They're bringing the community together while uplifting other small businesses. The team here is always friendly, and if it's not the owner it's typically another small business owner so you can make small talk and learn something new. The pricing ranges based on the products and brands that are carried but I've found some great deals and feel like all the products I've purchased here are well worth the cost.

From children's clothing to leather and wood kitchen accessories to hand made jewelry, there is certainly something you need! Service was stellar, friendly and fun! Value was great also. You can tell that the products are quality goods, which do run more than plastics, but are so much better for you. Recommend!

Finally got around to checking out this absolutely adorable book shop near McKinley park. Took me…read morelong enough! It is only a couple of blocks from the park and is so perfect for book and book themed/related shopping. They have lots of different genres and the store is organized so you can easily find what you are looking for. They have tons of bookmarks, stickers, keychains, reading lights etc.. The shop is beautiful inside, there's a couch by the big windows where you could spend some time hanging out in the natural light, the staff were super nice and friendly, and the prices are affordable/standard but not overpriced. I love that this shop, like so many other local's businesses/bookstores, prioritizes not only supporting their community but being inclusive and welcoming to all during a time like now. Will definitely be back to browse more once I finish my current reading stack.

The selection is great, there's a wonderful kids section, there are TONS of cute cards and stickers, and there are also other fun gifts. Also, the vibe is just really inclusive, welcoming, and cool. I really liked the curated shelf of Irish writing; I imagine this is routinely switched up to focus on other kinds of literature. I found some great poetry books, and they also offer free tea for when you're browsing.
