I have heard nothing but great reviews for their strawberry cream bun. The young lady at the register was very helpful. The young man working with her put my bun in a box and bagged my cookie quickly. I just had a hearty breakfast so I just wanted something sweet to go. I eyed the Chocolate Chip cookie and anyone who knows me knows it's hard for me to resist a CC. There were many fresh choices available. Lots of different scones of course. Back to what I came for... the tasty vanilla cream was smooth and woven throughout the layers of this pastry. The strawberries on top were sweet along with that jam right on top of the soft, pillowy bun. The chocolate chip cookie was warm and buttery. I had a bite and a couple bites of the bun. A cute bakery tucked away. They offer muffins, scones, quiche, cookies, cakes and coffee for starters. Everything is homemade fresh We ordered a piece of bacon/cheese quiche and almond/raspberry muffin. The quiche was just ok. It was a fluffy omelette in a pie form. It tasted very eggy and not much bacon at all. I wish it had more taste. On the other hand, the muffin was delicious!! It wasn't very sweet which was good and really enjoyed the fresh raspberries. Corner Scone is a small bakery with limited hours but the shop is very cute and makes up for limited interior space with a lovely little outdoor area. The selection is good for the size of the location itself and the prices are reasonable as well. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. It's a great place to stop for a little treat although the hours they keep can make that a little tough. Most recently I had a blackberry turnover there that was flaky, moist and delicious with a good amount of filling that was not too sweet. It's so important to support local small businesses like this one. I really hope they are able to expand their hours in the future as I would love to patronize them more often. read more

corner scone bakery has a really cute and welcoming ambience -- it's in a quiet area of lodi and the space feels cozy and calm. the owner was very sweet and personable, and she mentioned she had just taken on the role about a month ago. for such a new owner, i think she's doing a great job creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. that said, i do think the staff could use a bit more training, especially when it comes to drinks and presentation. i ordered an iced chai latte, which is usually a simple favorite, but unfortunately it tasted like mostly milk with just a splash of chai. usually, it's made with equal parts milk and concentrate, so the flavor was really off -- but everyone was so kind that i didn't want to complain. the scones, while beautifully presented (which is what drew me and my mom to try them), were very cold, dry, and lacked flavor. i wish they had offered to warm them up -- i think that could've made a big difference. i also ordered a caramel macchiato that was served upside down, which i didn't request, but it still tasted fine. nothing amazing, but not bad either. overall, the vibe and people are lovely, and i think this place has potential with just a bit more attention to product quality and barista training. i'd love to come back in a few months and see how things have grown! read more

Long time fan and regular customer of Corner Scone. Went in at 12:15 to order coffees and the employee told me that the coffee machine was shut down for the day. My understanding is that they close at 1:00? My daughter and I also went in last week closer to 12:40 and ordered coffees and it was perfectly normal! Fantastic! Once upon a time, there was a place that has since closed, that served raspberry and white chocolate scones. I think I must've gained 20 pounds eating those scones. Fast forward to today, and me trying this place, and lo and behold, they serve the same flavored scone, except this one might be even a little bit better. I am so happy this place is open again! I heard that they have great cinnamon rolls so I decided to try one with a cappucino. The guy at the register was friendly. They were not too busy at 11:30am. I did notice that in addition to lots of scones, they had muffins and quiches. My cappuccino was made well and we found a table outside to enjoy everything. The traffic outside can get noisy sometimes but the weather was so beautiful and the cinnamon roll was a "heavenly croissant like" delight so I ignored the noise. read more

I've been coming to the Corner Scone, off and on for months now, maybe a year and some change ever since reading about them in San Joaquin Magazine. My procrastinating ass is just getting to the review. Ha! Simply said, this place is great!! Super small inside but their deliciously baked sweets are baked daily and sometimes fresh right outta the oven. I love when they tell me they're right outta the oven!!!! Scones, quiche, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, pies, shepherds pie, cinnamon rolls, tortilla wraps, breakfast/lunch sandwiches and more are offered. Their vanilla lattes are awesome! They use Temple Coffee. At this time they have closed the bakery due to the Covid stuff. I see people walk up to order but they recommend you to drive up in front of the bakery, park, and one of their friendly staff will come up to your window and take your order. Five stars for the delicious scones. Curbside pickup only at this time. Calling in my order was only slightly painful trying to explain the way my husband likes his coffee / but he's to blame for that, not the lady working. Some prior reviews with complaints about their "system" which yes isn't the best; it would be nice if they had a portable payment system so as not to have to go back and forth from the vehicle - brought my order then took my card went back into store then came back - but not a huge deal and we all have to make adjustments during this time. We ordered three scones even though we really only needed two but you know us! I really wanted the pumpkin chocolate chip bread that I saw on one of the menu pics but that's only seasonal. I was sad and thought I "settled" on some scones. Lemon, chocolate chip, and maple bacon (husbands). I'm glad They didn't have my first choice because These scones were perfect! They were thick and soft inside. I can't comment on the maple bacon that one definitely not my style (hubby gave 5 stars as well) but the other two were SO GOOD. Try warming them for 15 seconds takes them up another level which is pretty surprising because they already mouth watering. We hope to take some home with us! (But they probably won't make it that far) The reason for 4 stars not 5 was because we were sitting curbside for about 15 minutes with only one car ahead of us and it still took another 5 after that car left (I had called the order in 10 minutes prior to us even arriving) so that's quite awhile to wait for an order that's already been made ya know? Pleasantly surprised!! The woman taking our order was super friendly, personable, and fast! We didn't even call before coming but our order of pastries and specialty coffees were ready in less than 10 minutes! We ordered a vanilla mocha and caramel mocha and boy were they delicious-we both have major sweet tooths. I found this gem of a bakery on Yelp of course. All hand made items in a cute little shop. I was overwhelmed and did not know what I was gonna buy. I bought a few scones, cookies, brownies and donuts with bacon... that is right a donut with BACON topping. I didn't get to try them all because was buying them for a client but will definitely go here again... Actually I did try the donut with bacon on top and it was too good not to have only one bite. Home Run! Last weekend, a weekend early, I picked up the Galentine Tea for Two, though ordered 3 for a party of 6 including one man. The high tea meal was perfect: everything delicious and such attention to detail. It helped a group with of friends celebrate a birthday during covid and make it an event. Hubby and I finally got a chance to try this place out (since we don't get to Lodi all that often). It was certainly worth seeking it out. They offered 3 housemade soups on this cold, foggy day - corn chowder, split pea and bean with ham. I had the split pea, hubs had the bean soup. Both were thick and delicious - clearly made from scratch. Soups were served with a couple of pieces of french bagette and the split pea came with clearly house made herb croutons. It was all yummy! They also have a variety of sandwiches and hand pies. We are going to have to find a reason to go to Lodi just so we can go back to this little spot. They offer a nice variety of teas, coffee drinks and other options if tea/coffee isn't your jam. The variety of baked goods was almost overwhelming. I say almost because we (of course) had to get a number of items so we could try almost everything (even knowing that we wouldn't be able to eat them all. In our to go box we have a dark chocolate brownie, a pumpklin cream cheese muffin, a maple bacon scone, a pecan shortbread and we ate the still warm from the oven peanut butter cookie before we left the parking lot. It was soft, chewy and full of flavor. Looks like they offer whole pies too - saw nutmeg peach on the blackboard but will have to try it on the next trip. The prices are reasonable, the quality is outstanding and the workers friendly and helpful. It is a tiny place, but well laid out and clean. Stop by for breakfast or lunch - or just to pick up dessert. You won't be disappointed! read more
