we love a little locally owned coffee shop!! i got a small iced caramel macchiato with oat milk. super super good. strong, but not bitter. it may be the best coffee i've had in a while. way better than starbucks. pricing is pretty comparable to starbucks but its local so id rather support this place. i also got a panini. they do sell out quick so be sure to get there early if you wanna make sure you get one. its made with sourdough and so delish. it's so simple yet done so well. the bread was perfectly toasted so it was crunchy but still soft.

Good iced tea! And, there is coffee, of course, along with some pastries. Friendly staff. Plenty of outside seating and inside, too. Nice corner spot at Lakewood Mall area. Come sip and reflect on the day ahead or the past!

The first thing I noticed was the amazingly friendly service. The staff seem so cheerful, knowledgeable about the menu, and are helpful. The drinks we got were pretty good. I had the Nutty Hawaiian. I really appreciated that the barista who helped us ensured confirmed whether or not we wanted their default dairy milk, or an alternative milk, so we opted for soy milk. Also got the brie and herb croissant, which wasn't as flaky as I would have liked, but I really enjoyed the brie in there nonetheless. They also asked if we wanted it warmed up, which I appreciated...definitely get it warmed up!

Ask the Community - House of Coffees

Hi ! Does Debbie still own this shop ? Thanks kindly ! Marcia

Hi there! She does not, she sold it to an employee about 10 years ago and I purchased it from the previous owner. She’s retired now but still a familiar face and still a part of the hoc family. my name is Sami and I’m honored to be a part of HOC’s…

Do they happen to have any Vegan food options?

Hi there! Occasionally on mondays & tuesdays our baker who bakes exclusively gluten free makes vegan goodies. You’re always welcome to call ahead and see what we have that day!

Review 1,108 Posted on 9.13.26…read more We came to Maison after arriving at Appellation Spa & resort on Saturday August 29th when coming for our anniversary. Maison is on the grounds near the main roadway that Appellation is on. They've got a bakery here, as well as a wine bar of sorts connected to it. The bread here is so fresh, soft, & good. We ended up getting 2 fresh loafs to bring back home. You can take your food and coffee and sit out back or out front. Tons of people I think stop in here to hang and get a quick bite and just sit outside and enjoy the weather and people watch. Nice place to hang.

My girlfriend and I stopped by Maison Lodi for lunch before spending the afternoon in town, and as…read moreusual, it did not disappoint. We both ordered the prime rib sandwich. I got mine with no cheese and a side of onions, and it was every bit as good as I remembered. One thing that was a little odd was that my friend's plate came with chips and veggies while mine only came with the sandwich and veggies. I'm not sure if there was a difference in how the orders were entered, but it definitely caught my attention. That said, those chips were absolutely delicious. We liked them so much that we packed up the leftovers and took them with us while we walked over to the visitor center afterward. That's always a good sign when you're making sure not a single chip goes to waste. We've been here quite a few times over the years, and one thing that keeps us coming back is the consistency. The food is always excellent, and even on busier days they seem to keep things moving. During this visit the restaurant was fairly crowded, but we were still served promptly and never felt forgotten. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Maison. It feels relaxed without being overly casual and always makes for a nice lunch stop when we're in Lodi. Helpful tip: If the chips come with your meal, don't leave them behind. They're surprisingly addictive and worth taking home if you can't finish them. Between the great food, friendly service, and reliable consistency, Maison continues to be one of our favorite places to stop whenever we're spending the day in Lodi.

A Hidden Gem! Amazing Food, Coffee & Hospitality!…read more What a cute and unique little bakery and café! Definitely not your typical coffee shop, and I mean that in the best way possible! I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of food they offer. Instead of just your usual bagels and basic pastries, they have delicious-looking breads, unique breakfast options, and even something called a croque, which I had never heard of before! I decided to try one, and it was absolutely delicious! What really stood out to me was the hospitality. The ladies working here were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and friendly from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I also ordered a dirty matcha, and although my drink was a little complicated, the staff handled everything with honesty, patience, and kindness. They even make their own syrups, which I thought was such a cool touch! It's refreshing to find a café that puts this much personality and care into what they serve. The atmosphere is charming, the food is different and delicious, and the customer service makes you want to come back. Ruby's Bakery and Café is absolutely worth visiting! I love discovering small businesses like this, and I'll definitely be recommending this place to others. Keep up the wonderful work, ladies! You made my morning!
