I love The Well! This local spot is such a great part of the community. They host a variety of events and classes and offer spaces you can rent. My future mother-in-law meets her knitting group here and I recently attended a pottery class--it was a lot of fun! I'm excited to see how my cup turns out. They also make delicious food and coffee. Located within the downtown Stockton area, The Well was a comforting stop for a coffee on my road trip up to the Pacific Northwest from Southern California! I particularly LOVED how the interior was designed to look old school and retained that older Spanish style charm! They have plenty of seating, a rentable venue, and a co-working space you can rent out for the day which was neat. The baristas were solid folks and I greatly appreciated how they kindly brought out the drinks to our table. You've gotta have even the slightest bit of admiration for awesome service after a tiring day. My latte was made just perfectly. Great quality coffee with some sweet latte art to add on! I didn't know this spot existed until I was invited for a meet up. It's located off of Center Street and you may miss it if you don't pay attention. It's a big white building with a gated entrance for parking. You enter through the back from the parking lot. They offer scones, pastries, cookies, breakfast and lunch items. I ordered a large caramel macchiato with almond milk. It was a bit soft, meaning I couldn't taste the espresso. It wasn't anything special. The cookie was ok. Prefer it warm. It's pretty big inside. It reminds me of like an old mission that was converted to a sitting space with a coffee shop. There's a lot of seating areas with tabkes and a lounge area with a sofa for meeting up, doing work or just hanging out. I also noticed there's a room you can rent for a meeting space too. The coffee was decent, a little on the sweeter side. I ordered a white mocha and, to me, it didn't really taste like white mocha? It was almost fruity...still good, just not what I was expecting. My bf described the caramel macchiato as very sweet too. The brownie was sooo good. We also ordered the SB melt (not pictured), which was quite good as well. The only change I would make next time is getting it without the lemon pepper, it overpowered the melt imo. This seems like a spot for local college students, Stockton was a pit stop for us for some breakfast. The food looked pretty good! Coffee was fine. They also have a variety of drinks you can choose from like coffee or energy drinks. I tried dementia and added lavender syrup to it, but I personally thought it was OK. The menu is brunch-like with offerings such as chicken & waffles, a breakfast bowl, and a breakfast burger. They're all good, including the fries (perfectly cripsy!). The dining room is casual and you can seat yourself. On the walls are frames of old newspapers from historically important days that are interesting to read. If you're staying a while with your laptop there is wifi. If the weather is good, there are a few outdoor tables with umbrellas in the front.
