I really love this coffee shop, I met the owner and he is amazing, also an amazing coffee barista. I'm a little discouraged because I ordered a mocha and they make it without the chocolate syrup. I believe there is a confusion on how to make the mocha, hence the name given in the drink. I'm are also patient in waiting, since I know the barista is working hard there solo, but this is the second time this happened, apparently the barista said that is how they were trained to make it. It was just a latte flavored drink. I really do miss how the owner made it. I will try to come again and hopefully the mocha will be corrected. Let me start this by stating that I didn't get a coffee/drink to try. We came in and it as a very little shop. They did not have a large menu but there was some variety (Coffee, tea, chai, refreshers). This is not a place that can hold a lot of people but its cute for a 2-3 person coffee outing. The aesthetics were cute, place was clean, but again not a lot of room. My friend for a chai and it might have been made wrong because it tasted like coffee and that wasn't what he ordered. Let's start by saying this is the cutest little hole in the wall coffee shop. It's light and bright. Just like the mermaid drink I got. It taste like... well heaven and women with beautiful figures lmaoo. The service is so helpful and kind. No rush. They just help and guide and suggest as you ask them. I'd been eyeing this spot for the next time I was in Stockton. Got their iced horchata latte. You can get it less sweet (They just put less horchata). It was tasty for the hot day and wasn't too sweet. The cup was very big. It took me 2 days to finish it. I wish they could maybe offer a small size. The cup also felt thin so I felt like the lid may pop off if I squeezed the cup so I made sure to hold it from the bottom as we walked miracle mile. Service was friendly! After having lunch near by we decided to stop this small coffee shop. There is limited seating and tables inside. My dad treated me for coffee so I ordered an iced horchata latte with oat milk. The drink tasted so good. They only have 1 cup size for the drink and it was large. The cup itself seem thin because it was easy to squeeze and I felt I would drop my drink. I've been to Comal Coffee a few times now and everything I've ordered here has been a 10/10. The owners are very friendly and happy to make recommendations if you don't know what to get. I'm so glad there is another thriving business added to The Mile! Comal Coffee, welcome to the best neighborhood in Stockton :) First thing I'd like to add is the location. The best way to find it is to find House of Shaw, or if that doesn't ring a bell just turn when you see CocoRo. If you are lucky you can park in the lot between Shaw and Comal but good luck with that. Try the lot on the South side of the road about 100 feet past that lot on your left. Now that you have found parking you can order your favorite beverage here. It's a unique menu and I love the concept of Comal roasted coffee beans. There is usually one person working the drink station and things progress at the rate of an independently owned business. Not a big problem for me but if you are a super commuter don't expect your drink in under 3 minutes. There are also a lot of delivery drinks being processed which is kinda weird and I haven't fully wrapped my brain about why these are priority when you are there in person ordering a beverage. This is not uniquely a Comal problem but when you are such a small business it can back up the timeline of when you get your drink. Overall I was happy with my classic traditional coffee. I will frequent this place whenever I want to skulk around the mile and get a freshly roasted coffee from a vendor other than "The Empire from Seattle" down the street" Queue "Empire Strikes Back" music here.
