I was going to be in the area so i looked this place up on yelp. There is street parking at no cost. The place had a ton of outdoor seating and I door seating. You have to walk to the back order and sit down. They had your normal options prices were regular . I do love the open concept you can see everything. The decor is really cute it's like outdoor style. What took this place to another level is they brought our coffee to our table. The guy was really nice and it just gave a special touch. The coffee was really good. You can tell they use good beans. Highly recommend will definitely be back.

I ordered a maple brown sugar cold brew with oat milk. This $7 coffee tasted like water and you can literally see how watered down it is. I definitely will not be returning, there's much better coffee shops in the area that aren't a rip off n

Coffee is always on point. Their honey lavender is my favorite. My go to is a an oatmilk cappuccino and half shot of honey lavender. You can buy beans and other coffee gadgets here too.

trail coffee is hands down one of the best coffee spots in lodi. their coffee is consistently incredible, and the espresso is top quality -- you can really tell the baristas are experienced and know what they're doing. one time, i asked if they had salted caramel, and even though they didn't, one of the baristas went out of her way to craft a salted caramel flavor just for my drink. she was so sweet about it, and honestly, i think about that moment a lot. experiences like that are what make you want to keep coming back. the atmosphere is beautiful and cozy -- it's a bit on the smaller side, but that just adds to the charm. perfect for grabbing a seat, enjoying your drink, and taking a little breather from the day. highly recommend trail if you're looking for amazing coffee and genuinely kind service. it's a lodi gem.

The Trial Coffee is a fun coffee place.Come here with friends and enjoy the outdoor patio, pastries and good coffee. Chai Lattte is good too. A few months ago had the pastry made with fresh cherries. Delicious. However last time I came with my granddaughter was disapointed as they they did not have any fresh pastry goods. So we got our coffee and had to go over to Ruby's for pastry and were not able to enjoy the patio.

This is such a cute lil coffee shop! The entire vibe of the place just makes you want to sit and enjoy your coffee. Had the matcha latte and it came with latte art that was too pretty drink, but of course, caffeine over everything sooo definitely drank it all!!

This was my first time in Lodi trying Trail and it was a cute spot! We came late Saturday morning and it was very busy. Once the tables are full, there aren't many places to stand and it felt crowded. We waited at the counter for a few minutes before being served but gave us a chance to decide on our flavors and check out the cute merchandise. I got the 16oz iced honey lavender latte, coffee flavor is good but syrup flavor is light. My boyfriend got a cold brew with vanilla and a splash of half and half and it was strong which he liked. Standard coffee shop prices! Overall I would come back - maybe on a weekday!

I personally did not have a good experience at this location and I just wanted to address a few issues for anyone considering coming here. First off, I want to acknowledge that the business next door to this location is under construction and has been for some time. I understand this is not their fault. However, you need to understand before you come here that you will be just a few feet from this very loud construction before you visit. As we walked up, I had to stop abruptly when a flurry of sparks flew out in front of me. The neighboring building was using a circular saw to cut metal and the sparks were flying out into the walkway. It was incredibly loud and startling. The patio area is literally just seating to watch construction at this point and that little waterfall in the corner can't be heard or enjoyed over the noise. You can always sit inside right? Hmmm... Had I read the reviews before I came, I would have seen the repeated mentions of "weird vibes" and poor customer service (even in the good reviews) but instead I was able to witness it firsthand. The staff here is not particularly friendly and although there were two other people in the shop you could hear a pin drop...in between the loud construction noises anyway. It definitely has a less than inviting atmosphere. So, plans changed to grab the coffee and go. We have tried the Trail Coffee in Stockton and even got a gift card. Their website clearly states that it is "Available to use at any of our locations" and their Yelp page states in the About the Business section that "Trail Coffee Lodi is Trail's third location and first one outside of Stockton." Why then when we asked the cashier about using our gift card did she say it was for Stockton and after swiping, tell us "It doesn't work here."? Some things are out of your control. Staff can be having a bad day or not be trained correctly, etc. However, poor product on top of it all is really unacceptable. I was honestly happy to pay for my drink and just get the heck out of there but when I sat in the car to finally drive away and tasted my "Honey Lavender" latte, well, that was the final nail in the coffin for me. No honey, no lavender, just truck stop coffee with some half and half splashed in over some ice. I have made myself much better coffee at a hotel continental breakfast. This place was an utter disappointment and even if you are considering giving them a try, I would definitely wait until construction is finished with looks to be around late summer 2024 at this point and I would be very surprised if this place makes it that long at this rate.

The 3rd Trail Coffee to open! They must be doin' things right and IMO they ARE! Great tasting lattes, awesome pastries and breakfast sandwiches, cool patio with a waterfall feature and wired up for nice tunage. This review is way overdue! They have loyalty cards, have awesome customer service, like the other two stores in Stockton, and a cozay interior with an eye catching mural and vintage furniture. An example of their cool customer service was when I ordered a bfast sandwich with bacon and they were just out of bacon, what did they do? Nick (the owner I believe) hooked me up with a free latte on my next visit. Little things like that go a long way in my book. They share the same roof with Papapovlos so don't be confused. Nice, adequate parking and so close to downtown. Trail is awesome. Support local you yocals!!

We went up to Lodi for Mother's Day and got trail coffee for our morning pick me up! The store is super cute. I love the use of scrabble tiles for the drinks and the clock with the pothos and they have little propagations at the tables. They had 10% off for mothers on Mother's Day which was a really sweet thing to do, and made it feel more local. I got a matcha latte, it was okay. My fiancé got a hot mocha and it tasted like a grown up hot chocolate! Pretty tasty. Service was okay. We got our coffee quickly but not super "wow" factor. Everyone seemed really tired lol, but we were too so we understood! We also got a jalapeño cheddar scone and it was soooo delicious. I wouldn't mind a few more of those, well have to stop by next time we're down!

Very tasty coffee!! I always get some variation of a latte with oat milk and it's always super delicious. They have a rotation of syrups that I believe are all (or mostly) homemade and always taste great. It's usually a bit of a wait, but it's worth it, in my opinion. We just happened to be looking for a new coffee stop for our Lodi visits, found them on Google. Glad we stopped in. The mochas are delicious. The matcha was delicious too. We ordered pasteries too, banana chocolate chip bread and Almond cupcake, tasty. The kids had hot chocolate. The shop itself is super cute and had such a cute display of plants. Great/friendly customer service and smooth tasting latte. The goat cheese and herb crescent was okay. The only issue I experienced was the one pump of vanilla syrup I requested seemed like more than one pump, so the latte was a bit too sweet. I'll definitely go back for the latte, but skip the syrup and food. read more

went in this a.m. to get a croissant, i was not greeted even though i said Good morning. i waited patiently for about 4 minutes while she finished making the drink she was working on. when finished she looks at me and i smile. i was waiting for her to say I'll be right with you sir. another customer walks in now its just the new customer and I in the store and the employee totally ignored me and took the new customers order. didn't acknowledge me at all. maybe i look intimidating? IDk but thats not how you treat a customer, i walked out and no F''ks were given. i guess i wont go back. read more

It's okay. Came in for some coffee, employees seemed to be done for the day, therefore working quickly and not to enthusiastic to be there. The girls that work weekend afternoons dont know what their doing. Every time I come they have bad attitudes and my coffee comes out worse than something I can make at home. The reason I go to coffee shops is to explore and taste the flavor because they have machines I dont have at home. But these same girls cant seem to know what their doing. For example this is the second time I get a lavender latte from the same girl and she always makes a vanilla latte. I have not had this problem with the other employees or downtown. Because with those people it always tastes so darn good. These girls aren't using the lavender syrup. My go to is lavander oat hot and for some reason with only these employees I get a vanilla latte. For the extra cash Im paying I'll just go to java stop. I just had their lavander drink and its off the charts. Organic beans and everything. read more

I've loved Trail since the alley location, we even served Trail coffee at our wedding! When I learned we were getting a location in Lodi I was beyond excited!! This location lives up to the super high quality and aesthetic that all Trails have. There's a ton of street parking and a parking lot which is so nice. You get to walk through their beautiful outdoor patio to get to the front door. There's a ton of great seating outside and two fire pit tables which are so cozy on cool mornings. The inside is so cool and inviting, and very clean and the employees maintain it well throughout the day. The baristas are all absolutely amazing! Not only extremely talented at what they do and make the best drinks, but so so nice and friendly. They've started to remember us and our orders too which makes each visit even greater. All of their syrups are made in house and every single one is delicious. I'm currently addicted to the pumpkin spice in an oat milk latte, but tried the salted caramel apple and it was delicious too! They also do cool latte art on every drink which I love. The pastries are such a great complement to the drinks. A majority of their food offerings are gluten free and you truly can't even tell that they are. They're very family friendly and pet friendly, we love taking our two year old son with us and my mom was able to bring her dog and sit outside with us a few times. I highly highly recommend visiting and you'll probably soon be addicted too like we are! read more

We focus on our coffee and showcasing the amazing flavor that is delicately cultivated by our roaster. Our lattes are always a first pick for newcomers, especially with one of our house-made syrups. We always have our vanilla, sugar-free vanilla made with monk fruit, honey lavender, and any seasonal favorites.

History

Established in 2021.

Bing (Owner), Stockton Native, went to Nicaragua in the 1970's to visit his friend who was stationed there for the peace corps. He left Nicaragua right before the Civil War in Central America began and moved back to Stockton. He went back to Nicaragua in the 1990's and purchased an abandoned coffee farm in Jalap, Nicaragua on Cerro de Jesus, which is the second tallest mountain in the country. Over the years they brought electricity up to the farm, built a school, church, dormitories for farm workers, a wet mill for our coffee and medicinal garden for the community. Our farm covers over 700 acres, and is Rainforest Alliance Certified. All of our beans are hand picked, and we have been roasting coffee from our farm for over 20 years. Our flagship location is downtown Stockton, on Main and California. We have another location at UOP. Trail Coffee Lodi is Trail's third location and first one outside of Stockton. Our coffee is roasted daily in our downtown location.

Please Read. Why this place receives any positive reviews is beyond me. They are so lazy and…read moreoverpriced for what you get. When you order pastry with fruit they keep the stem from strawberries and the orange peel skins. I wouldn't mind that, if it was priced accordingly. But spend an extra few seconds. I dont want to be picking the fruit out with my hands while trying to eat, im talking a dozen of strawberries with every big as$ stem on it and every orange slice with a skin. (Last I checked most people prefer not to eat the green part of the strawberries, and chew on an orange skin. Their donuts are overpriced as well and not great. Stiff as hell and no flavor, go to an actual donut shop that is priced less and are good. Lets continue. It took me three times to finally say something. 1st time I went to get a dozen donuts for my company, not nice and garbage donuts. 2nd time shame on me for giving them another try. Third time, review has to let Lodians know. Not to mention they aren't the most polite people either. Spend your money at a real panadería that actually treats their customer base with a little respect.

As my son start eating from The chocolate cake cup, he said that the taste is sour and weird...had two bites and then he stopped and screamed as there were molds inside it! Mold in three different places....I am byond upset that how they will sell stuff that is expired and spoiled. It's a life hazard situation too. My pastry thingy, was taste old and so out of freshness, but at least it's not spoiled with fungus! So, please please lady owner of the shop, check your stuff especially the things that you kept in the cold place if it's spoiled and has mold! If it's old please throw it away, selling it as fresh (even if it's in the fridge), it doesn't mean it's still edible after many days. You seems to be nice lady, but please take care of your customers by taking care of the stuff you've selling. We paid for it full price, and expecting a good and healthy product. Thanks

Just grabbed two cortados here, and they were excellent. The barista pulled a perfect shot, which made it a perfect cortado. The vibe was quiet, bright, and clean.
