I never went here until I moved across town near here. I'm glad I discovered it, and I'm not glad that I discovered it. I stop in too often! They have a very large variety to choose from. Although the cheesecake and bread pudding have been my favorites from the start, I do like to try things that are new to me. Sometimes it's a hit, and sometimes it's a miss. But I guess that's just a personal taste thing. I'm not really sure if there is a best time to come here in order to get the freshest and largest variety. Some days I come in and it's fully stocked, and sometimes it's a bit picked over. But you really never know what you might find at times. And I enjoy that. For example... I went in recently and found pumpkin muffins. Where the heck can you get great pumpkin muffins in the summer? They were big and delicious. I'm glad I bought extra to keep in my freezer. I do wish they had tongs. I'm not a fan of people sticking their hands inside the case to get things, although they do have papers that you are supposed to use. I generally always see people using them, but it still would be more sanitary if they provided tongs. I find the prices to be reasonable, and the employees are friendly. Just be aware that there is an additional fee for using a card to pay, whether it is debit or credit. And should you require a box and not a paper bag for your purchases, you pay $.50 for it. I recommend that you give this place a try. I have told others about it and they now enjoy stopping in. read more

Please Read. Why this place receives any positive reviews is beyond me. They are so lazy and overpriced for what you get. When you order pastry with fruit they keep the stem from strawberries and the orange peel skins. I wouldn't mind that, if it was priced accordingly. But spend an extra few seconds. I dont want to be picking the fruit out with my hands while trying to eat, im talking a dozen of strawberries with every big as$ stem on it and every orange slice with a skin. (Last I checked most people prefer not to eat the green part of the strawberries, and chew on an orange skin. Their donuts are overpriced as well and not great. Stiff as hell and no flavor, go to an actual donut shop that is priced less and are good. Lets continue. It took me three times to finally say something. 1st time I went to get a dozen donuts for my company, not nice and garbage donuts. 2nd time shame on me for giving them another try. Third time, review has to let Lodians know. Not to mention they aren't the most polite people either. Spend your money at a real panadería that actually treats their customer base with a little respect. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at this bakery, especially considering the purpose of using the Too Good To Go app is food conservation and reducing waste. When I came in to pick up my order through the app, I was accused of trying to get food a second time without paying, which was completely untrue. I was simply picking up my scheduled order like I had done before, following the rules of the app exactly. Being treated with suspicion while just trying to do my part to reduce food waste was uncomfortable and unnecessary. On top of that, the portion I received this time was noticeably smaller than my previous pickup, which made the experience feel even worse. If portions vary, that's understandable. but combining that with an accusation made the situation feel unfair and discouraging. I support local businesses and food conservation efforts, but respect and basic customer understanding matter. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression, and I don't feel confident returning.I encourage others to do the same. read more

I loved the fresh sweet taste of the bread here and the service there was very nice and helpful and if you asked a question they answer it, today I saw a tween girl in the back helping out and making food and the tortas and burritos there are delicious and she seemed so sweet they always make me come back and I love how they put ones with and without cheese to think of the people who don't like cheese and the inside of it is so warm and they even have a poster of the top bakers where they put the bread and they are very organized there where they have all the candy and the toys that is all I have to say for la flor de Puebla read more

If you're like me in that your favorite part of concha bread is the sweet sandy topping then you'll enjoy the concha bread here. The topping is laid on really thick! Not the softest concha bread that I've had though but still beats concha bread at a grocery store. As for other items that I tried here, the polvorones cookies had a good slight chew to them (though were a little dry around the edges.....might be more of a nitpick from me as I've had polvorones cookies from another panadería that tasted like they were fresh out of the oven). The niño envuelto cake slices were spongy-soft but could've had more fruit flavoring. What I really like about this panadería is that the fruit jelly used as filling is really smooth and not as gloopy as the one at other panaderías. In fact, the pineapple-jelly-filled concha bread is amazing and is the best pan dulce that I tried here (look for yellow oblong conchas in the display case). Biggest gripe about this panadería is that instead of tongs you use disposable parchment squares to grab the pan dulce from the display cases. I can't do my tong test to see how squishy (and therefore fresh) the pan dulce are! Gotta commit when selecting. Overall one of the better panaderías that I've been to and based on the constant in/out foot traffic that I saw here it seems to be loved by locals (and understandably so!). read more

On a recent road trip we asked a local restaurant for the best Panaderia and they suggested La Flor. What an amazing place. Cleanliness is appreciated , it was so clean. Variety, hot and fresh, we were there on a Saturday around 3. The staff was filling the cases with all kinds of delicious treats. There are also available, aprons, TALAVERA, and imported goods from Mexico. There are candies and many bakery items in the cake and postre section as well. We miss the authentic Panaderias from Mexico, you do an amazing job in your bakery. Highly recommend this establishment. read more

My mom & I came in looking for our favorite Mexican bread because our spot is in Oakland and living in Stockton it's hard to drive 1.5 hours for Mexican bread, but our place is definitely worth it! Would just be nice to find a place near us now. We came in, the lady was barely stocking the store.. they didn't have much, but the SMELL in this bakery was legit! It was warm and smelled like I just wanted to take a bite out of a piece of bread! It was super small and not the cleanest and kind of just all over the place but I will definitely come back to try them out! We didn't end up buying anything, because they didn't have the bread we were looking for, but they do have a lot of spices and stuff! I will be be back another day probably earlier in the morning to see if maybe then they have the bread we want. If not then just to try the other ones. Staff was also nice. It's hard for a S. Cali girl living in the East Bay to find Conchas/Mexican Sweet bread, but I was in the area and found this spot. Before entering, I could smell this was going to be good day. The bread was fresh and delicious, but please note they have some freshly made bread behind the register area. This is the one I told the man I wanted one of each and it was worth it! I was perusing the list of "Hot & New" businesses here in Lodi and have recently had a BIG sweet tooth, so stopping by La Flor de Puebla seemed like a no brainer. It's a little, unassuming location, in the former spot of Taphouse Pizza. First impression is that there's a lot of open space and not a ton going on inside, but I quickly got over that when I noticed the selection of desserts and pastries available. There are cookies, sweetbreads, Halloween decorated cupcakes, and more. I was mostly impressed by how inexpensive it was. I picked up a giant cookie and a Jack-O-Lantern cupcake for $1.35. The family behind me filled up an entire tray of pastries and their total came to something like $4. It's insane. La Flor de Puebla really can't be beat for the price. If you're out towards the south side of Lodi and are craving something sweet, stop on in and pick up a pastry or two. I would give zero stars if it was an option. On Tuesday, I went to buy a choco flan for a baby shower. I pointed to the cake I wanted and said I'd like that cake to pick up fresh on Sunday at 9am. I paid for it. Came back Sunday (today) to pick up my cake and it wasn't the one I pointed to when I ordered it. It looked terrible. When I said it wasn't what I ordered he said well you didn't specify.... I literally pointed to the cake and said I want that cake but fresh on Sunday. Not having time to argue, I took the cake and went to the party... it was the worst choco flan I've ever had and so dry. I do not recommend cakes from here. read more

The bread is good, no complaints. We had the conchas, their fresa con queso & almond topped bread with piña too. The dress con queso I put in the toaster oven because it was really soft and I wanted more of a crunch. The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the discrepancies in bolillo price. My sister always buys bolillo from here and sent me to get it this time. This was my first time buying it. There was a man who helped me and I asked how much bolillo was in a $1 order, 3 or 4. It's what I'm used to at other places. He said 3/$1 then said 2/$1. Odd, but I said OK. I get to the house with the bolillo and my sister me reclama about the bread saying every single time she's gone they're 3/$1. She called them up and spoke to the guy who said "the bolillo has always been 2/$1" she tells him that she had never bought it for that price. He replies "well, it's 2/$1 we sell it sometimes for 3/$1 because the bread is small". She said OK & hung up; the bolillo was the same size it always is.
