Such a great spot! The restaurant looks very modern and feels very inviting with lots of parking available. In the same plaza as Walmart! The food was flavorful and the portions were a great size that I actually had enough leftovers to take home. The first time I stopped by, I ordered the seafood noodle soup (hu tieu hai san) and the second time around I wanted to try their house special noodle (dry). Both were so delicious! I always love dry noodle options because I can add as much broth as I want or have the broth on side at the end. The service was also quick and friendly. I've tried a few other pho restaurants in the area and this one definitely stands out. Would highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Wow! Huge turn around from the previous business- Pho o Clock. For starters the interior is vastly different with marble walls. It gives the restaurant a more lighter look and feel to it. The counter is on the right side versus it being in the middle. Did I mentioned the restaurant is much cleaner? Lol The menu is much smaller and more focused on Vietnamese food which gives me high hopes that food quality will be more consistent. I ordered a chicken bahn mi and it was great. The bread was nicely toasted, packed with veggies and a good ratio of protein, veggies. They add some sort of meaty paste to theirs, I think it's called pate? Regardless though, it's a great sandwich. My one suggestion would be to make a little combo thing like add fries or baby egg rolls, or something on the side. I do want to try their pho but I'll wait till the weather gets a little colder hehe read more

Came to Pho Twins because we originally wanted to go to Banh Mi Boys, but it isn't open yet here in Modesto. Pho Twins has replaced Pho 'O Clock on Coffee Road (RIP). It looks like they've gutted the entire interior and fancified it with the light marble walls. Vietnamese music blasted through the speakers, but whoever's phone that's connected to the bluetooth speaker was running around because the music kept cutting off. The menu has been condensed since the Pho 'O Clock days, sticking to Vietnamese fare. No more chickie tendies or Hawaiian plates here. We ordered: Grilled pork spring rolls - this was just OK in that the slice of pork used was the bottom-of-the-barrel fattiest, thinnest piece. Peanut sauce was silky smooth and I liked that the dish came with a sprinkling of pickled carrot/daikon. Beef short rib pho special - the beef rib was also super fatty and barely meaty. The SO usually finishes the whole bowl (broth and all), but couldn't this time. House special dry noodle - this was tasty and refreshing. Came with a small portion of beef rib meat/broth on the side. Vietnamese coffee - this was very mocha forward? Still good and creamy, but definitely tasted pre-made. Overall, it was a decent meal at a little over $50. Will likely return to try some other items. read more

Everything about Pho Twins was great. I am a Thai tea snob and theirs was perfect. I got the P1 (braised rib house special pho) the broth was very flavorful, the rib was fall-off-the-bone tender, and their shrimp spring rolls with the peanut sauce were crunchy and fresh. The service was spot on. I got there before the lunch rush, but as I was leaving, people started pouring in. read more

New local gem!! Pho Twins is such a great addition to Modesto. We went during soft opening. Very impressed by the food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant. The owners were very nice and attentive. We had multiple items and everything was seasoned well, food came out nice and hot. Loved the fried crab Rangoon appetizer. Pho broth was very balanced with generous portion of meat. My husband enjoyed the stir fry noodle dish and we also enjoyed the Korean short rib rice plate. Pho Twins is very cute and clean. The staff was very nice. We didn't end up liking the food unfortunately. We were excited to try a new Pho place and hoped we'd have a new spot to go to when we are on that side of town. Unfortunately, we both couldn't get through our bowls. We are not Vietnamese so it could have just been that we didn't appreciate the dishes as they were made. We both felt our Pho dishes tasted fishy. We got two different Pho dishes and neither were supposed to have seafood in it so the fishy taste completely through us off. The spring rolls were nice. I'd recommend those. read more
