Good food and service. They would have to place an order online. They only have to call an order.

Dissapponted but happy the roach made its appearance before I ordered food! The place looked sketchy looking but was recommended to me and I have always believed little hole in the wall restaurants make the best food.

This is a hidden gem!!! Great prices. Delicious food. Mongolian beef was bursting with flavor. Garlic chicken was the perfect mix of crispy and saucy. Everything was piping hot and very fresh!

a take out container of chinese food

Spent $12 on this plate keep in mind these aren't like the regular small plates you get at any Chinese app these are the large plates they are well served I ordered a combo broccoli beef with I don't know what else tbh I'm drunk rn Lmfaoo there was forsure fish in there too ask for soy sauce the fried rice needs it giving four stars because they didn't give me enough siracha

This place is located on Yosemite Blvd in the heart of the sketchiest area of Modesto, but don't let that deter you from trying this place out. It is THE hidden gem of the Chinese food industry. I initially tried this place because I was searching for the best Wor Wonton soup. I have tried at least 10 places in Modesto/Ceres and this place won hands down; like they blew the other places away. I then tried other menu items and I have never been disappointed. They have a combo plate section that not only lets you choose 1 or 2 entrees, but it allows you to choose an appetizer as well; ranging from foil wrapped chicken to fried fish or prawns to egg rolls. There are 18 choices of entrees to choose from that most other places don't even offer on their combo plates. Prices for the combos range from $7.25-$9.25 and the servings are GINORMOUS . The restaurant itself isn't really inviting as far as location and interior goes, but it's family owned, the service is awesome, the food is cooked fresh with fresh ingredients and if you live nearby, they also deliver for free if you order $20 worth of food. If not, there's always GrubHub. Get a to-go meal (or two) on a Netflix binge night; you won't be disappointed!

The sweet and sour pork meat had a burnt taste. I didn't care for the noodles either. Not for me.

I ordered the honey walnut shrimp combination but asked for all chow mein since I'm not a big fan of fried rice for $16.31 with card after taxes. I believe there's a 2-3% additional charge if you use card, but I could be remembering incorrectly. Definitely call and ask or bring cash! The shrimp was fantastic. It had the right amount of batter, wasn't overcooked whatsoever and the shrimp was nice and bouncy. The sauce wasn't overly sweet or artificial tasting either! The chow mein was okay. Noodles slightly overcooked and on the verge of being mushy and as I continued eating it got extremely salty so I had to stop. Unfortunately will not be getting it again! A ton of these reviews are saying they pack the food here.. pack where? There is way too much space in the box. Food is decent but there are other spots to try, and at $16.31 I'll just take myself to Panda Express honestly!

So this review was for a pick up order at Noah's Hof brau and for their well known Chinese food…read more For years, I've heard people mention Noah's which serves sandwiches besides their Chinese food. So I ordered the #26 Mongolian beef combination that has fried rice and chow mein. The fried rice and chow mein is already premade and behind the glass counter. The chow mein had a little pork with their noodles. Lucky for me, the Mongolian beef was cooked to order and just took about 6 mins wait. To me, this is what I consider the ideal Mongolian beef. Thin beef slices that is brown in appearance with a nice glaze. It comes with tons of green onions, chili peppers and onions and topped with crispy rice noodles. Theres a nice "hot" as in flavor taste to it but not strong. It's my favorite and I feel this beats Panda Express any day. 5 stars The place probably is busier during lunch being downtown so when i picked up my order, it was close to 5 pm and wasn't that busy. Thing that I notice is their menu on the wall says $12.50 for my #26 Mongolian beef combo and when I ordered 2, the guy just used his memory to punch in $28.85 on my credit card. So sales tax is 8.88% now and when I did the calculation, it should have been less. Not sure whether they didn't update their wall menu price. But that kind of irked me since I know some places charge an added fee for using a cc (which they have no disclosure). Either way, don't rely on their wall prices if you order there in person. Door dash has this priced at $15 for pick up but i ordered it at the counter when I got there. Still, one of the better Chinese food in Modesto
