I hate to leave this review because this is my go to spot for my protein meal of choice. After a long day of work coming home to eat my food I find plastic in my super greens which is not the first time I found debris in my food. First two times I hadn't reported anything because I understand s**t happens. (No Excuse) Then today's incident was the limit and decided management needs to get involved because this is getting way too out of hand, this store is always out the door for people looking somewhere quick to grab and go so this needs to come to an end before an incident becomes fatal. I asked the young girl very politely at the front for a sort of compensation for having plastic in my meal (showed her a bag with the plastic inside and proof of transaction on my chase account because I had thrown receipt away) which when she spoke to the manager on duty was I was told I needed my receipt that I did not want to go digging through my garbage can for. Fast forward me dumping my entire garbage all over my side walk I find it and drive bag to speak to the manager with my receipt. This was totally unnecessary as this is a $10 plate of food not a private task operation they had just blew. I asked for a refund and some compensation as a loyal customer that has been f**k*d by this place 3 times now, and her return was some script or something I don't even remember the lines to and telling her workers to deal with it which is my one star review, the second star goes to Jessica who was working in the front and assisted me throughout the situation who I've seen quite frequently in this location and does great work, she compensated me my refund and instead of one small entree of chicken she overruled her manager and remade my entire plate FRESH while asking me genuinely about what had happened and what she could do to help. People like this should be in charge especially at the rate these folks are being paid. Whoever was managing 6/26/2026 around 8pm-10pm Riverbank, CA, was very lazy and unhelpful and best be retrained or fired. Still believe I should be compensated more but thank you Jessica and I hope you the best with this company and getting this riverbank store back together for me to return. read more

My kids and i live this spot. I've noticed however the portions are much smaller now than before do thats the only negative part.

Absolute WORST organization and service. Slow and have a weird attitude. Other pandas are so much better.

I got there before closing and they made my Hot Orange chicken fresh. I felt bad because they were wrapping up the night. The gal Valeria G., who helped me was very nice and professional. Everybody busy cleaning and working hard. I'll be back. Very pleasant place. Thank you. read more

Very disappointed with this location--it used to be my favorite. Today I placed an order online for a bowl with fried rice and Angus steak, which costs extra. The bowl was mostly rice with barely any toppings: about 3 1/2 small pieces of steak, one piece of broccoli, no bell peppers. Please check your food before leaving the restaurant so you don't get ripped off. read more

Came here with a friend and he came down with food poisoning. I didn't eat since I was just tagging along. He ordered the chow mien, fried rice with teriyaki chicken, black pepper steak & Beijing beef. After reading the reviews we figured he had got sick from this place. Will not be returning and after looking at their reviews I'm so surprised this location is still open! Do not recommend eating at this panda location at all. Save yourself from getting sick. read more

Fried rice has multiple pieces of burnt rice chunks in it. All the rice tasted burnt and disgusting. This is horrible customer service. They didn't even care to give me fresh rice. Portions were smaller as well. Would not go back to this location. read more

Really $15 dollars for a large walnut shrimp and I get this? Plus to add insult to injury your serving rice that HAS NOT been cooked completely. The way I see it this establishment owes me a small order of shrimp to compensate and a large rice. I tried calling and it just rang and went to a voicemail. Apparently the server(s) and cook(s) could use more training. We absolutely enjoy panda but this time you missed the mark embarrassingly. FYI.... The establishment during the time of pick up was light for receiving this meal. read more

Terrible customer service. I ordered a two item entree online. They totally forgot to add one of my entrees. Once I got home and opened the box, I realized one entree was missing. After working a 15 hour day, I got back into my car and went back to the restaurant. The young lady at the counter was very rude and didn't even offer an apology. She simply said we can either remake the order or you can leave with no food. I will definitely not spend my hard earned money at the Riverbank Panda Express again. What happened to courtesy and friendly customer service??? SMH read more

Why does this place have to most miserable employees?! I arriver today for just 6 veggie spring rolls. That was it!! The person taking my order was actually very helpful!! The person checking me out was ready to start a fight with someone! When checking out, she confirmed my order to which I gave my confirmation...this is less than a $20 order, people (including donation)!! Checkout person then runs to the person who took my order and whispers something in her ear.....then runs to the office and says "can you check her out, cuz I don't want to." Apparently, this request must have been denied because she returned to the register to take my payment. I paid in cash and she gave me my change. Her face THE WHOLE TIME looked like she had just eaten poo. While she did ask the customers prior whether or not they wanted to donate to their current cause, she did not ask me. I usually always leave a tip of some sort because I know that Panda donates. I gave her $2 from my change. She literally looks at me and says with such hate "what's this for?!" And when I told her it was for whatever cause Panda's donation was for, she just slumped down and said "ok, whatever." read more

This Panda Express is the cleanest one I have ever visited, the service was wonderful and they staff was so attentive and kind. I had the chow mien and spring rolls which were fresh and tasty. My husband had orange chicken beef and broccoli and 2 sides he said it was all yummy. Again, the staff cleaned when not busy and it was a very nice neat place. read more

Okay so I want to say the cashier that helped me out was sweet. But I had placed an order online and it said it would be ready at a certain time I usually should expect it be done at that time. But I guess the machine wasn't working okay that's fine. But I waited got my items she asked what sauce I would like I said Sriracha and sweet and sour okay I leave come back to work with my lunch come to find out I have no sweet and sour that really just did it for me. But also they really are stingy with the food as well which I understand they have a like a scoop or something rule but having to still wait on food and missing my sauce I wish they could have at least added some more white rice or chow-mien read more

I think this restaurant was not using their air conditioning. It was super hot inside the restaurant, we thought it would have been cooler to go out side even though it was in the 90's outside. The food was ok, but for the last three days I have felt sick to my stomach etc. Think that maybe I have got a little food poisoning not sure. I don't think I will be eating here for a while. read more

Both my father who is 83 and his friend who is 93 got very sick from eating at Panda Express on Friday. Both had the same exact meal and both almost, very nearly ended up in ER. I really want to live PE but I just always end up saying it's fast food. This particular store was very fast and on there game for service. Waited an additional 7 minutes for the sweet chicken breast after waiting in line, when I got home I saw that the chicken I was waiting for was not added to my meal. After speaking with the manager she asked if I wanted to come back to the store (after I waited in line, and then waited again for chicken) to receive the chicken that they didn't fill or come back another day. She said that she wasn't able to refund me the money because she didn't have the receipt, even though she asked me for all the details of my receipt when speaking to her over the phone. This is poor service and it reflects in all these horrible Yelp reviews. Thank you for my $9 plate of rice and chow mein! read more

Update. Thought I would be smart and order online, related to my experience last time and my previous review... got an estimate time my order would be ready, got here 5 minutes after that time and I have been sitting here waiting for more than 15 minutes. I can't win with this place. read more

I was at the store on Thursday evening at 6:45. It was pretty busy and I ordered 3 plates and drinks. When I went to soda machine, there was no ice. I asked an employee to see if she could get some ice and she returned to say they were all out. I saw they had ice where they had "specialty drinks" to serve in the containers and asked her for some. Surprisingly she told me that "the ice is only for specialty drinks". I asked her to please give me a small amount as the fountain drinks are fairly warm. She told me no and walked away. As I spent close to 50 dollars for food there I believe some ice is a small request and asked for her name. She immediately covered her name tag and said No! And walked off. She ran over to her manager and he spoke to her but did not come and speak to me. Another employee asked what I was waiting for and immediately gave me some. It is really unfortunate that the manager did not think that it was important to follow up with a dissatisfied customer and it reflects in the disrespectful manner that the employee displayed. Ordered ahead, still had to wait over 20 minutes in a crowded and woefully understaffed restaurant, especially considering it was Lunar New Year. Order was suppose to be ready @ 7:55 no one was here ordering or anything when I arrived to pick it up they said it would be a few minutes. No big deal I wait and 10 min go by no food is being served or cooked. I really like the food quality but they miss the mark on quantity. Only way I feel full is to order 2 plates.

If leave zero stars i would. no rice and the manager was rude. poorly ran place, no wonder their rating is low.

Placed an order online and when I went to pick it up, it wasn't ready. They did not have steamed rice so I had to choose a different option. Then they tell me they were out of fried rice and it was going to be another 15 minutes. My food that was ready was now cold. Manager was rude. Definitely do not come here! read more

My husband just got back from this location a few hours ago. He told me that the total was $19.09 so he gave the cashier, Alisia, $19, a nickel and 4 pennies. Well the cashier accidentally dropped the nickel and looked at husband waiting for him to give him another nickel because SHE dropped the nickel! Like it was my husband's problem! I haven't tasted the food, but I was frustrated with my experience because I was told on apple maps that the location offered Apple Pay which I was happy about because I had left my actual card at home. I went through the whole length and they prepared my food, but then when I came to the cashier I found out they didn't offer it after all. As I was walking out, disappointed, I saw the employees throw away the food. The workers were very friendly, so that's why I didn't rate lower. We all know Panda Express food. The food was fine. This rating is bc of 2 other issues. 1. They way they built the layout of this restaurant was very badly thought through (or not thought through at all). The start of the ordering process is right inside the front door. So if there is more than 2-3 people in line then you have a lot of people standing out the door. We went there Sunday night to grab some dinner to take home. And there was about 8-10 people in line all standing outside. What do you do when it is winter? Not to mention, we had 7 people ahead of me and it took 34 minutes to just get to the front and order. Not good guys. Not good. 2. A middle aged lady brought her dog into the restaurant on a leash and was allowed to order, pay and sit and eat with her dog (corgi, not a service animal) at her table. No employee said anything about health code or sanitary issues for the rest of us. I ended up walking over to chipotle and getting food there bc I was disgusted by this dog licking everything around him. read more
