I read some bad reviews for this place and had to see for myself. My girlfriend and I received great customer service. They gave us good portions of food, and even gave us extra beef for free! I been away from this Panda Express location for while. Even when is around the corner from home. But come on they can't do it worse. Oh my.. how wrong I was, cold food, they don't mention they ran out of some salsa before they serve the food, surprise no teriyaki sauce for my Teriyaki chicken. Plus they ran out of small cups... so buy a medium drink that's your problem no restaurant. Finally I asked if they will make more orange chicken (1:30 away from closing) they said no. My boyfriend and I love panda so much, but only because of our favorite manager, Xavier. He always goes above and beyond for us and gives us the best service. I should have followed the earlier Yelp reviews and avoid this place. I chose this place because it's right around the corner from home. I normally have a specific spot to go to for my cravings but I decided to be lazy today and stayed close to home. And what a waste and disappointment. In my family meal, they added a BIG piece of broccoli that took up the LARGE entree box. So, my family and I got only a couple of bites of broccoli and very little meat. Also, the grilled chicken teriyaki was super burnt. Completely gross. For that LARGE entree of grilled chicken, that place only gave us one packet of teriyaki sauce... again, for a LARGE entree box of grilled chicken. Please, if you're trying to feed your family, don't go there. This place doesn't even fill your box. All the boxes in our family meal had at least a quarter rim left to fill. Had the $20 family meal tonight. Comes with 2 sides and 3 entrees. All for $20. Sides we picked were fried rice and chow mein. Had orange chicken for 2 entrees and string bean chicken as the 3rd. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. It fed 4 of us with plenty of leftovers. My only issue was the string bean chicken was mostly string beans. Hope next time I will get a more evened out ratio. But thank you Panda for an easy dinner at a good price. read more

We've been going here for years, and we like the food. But they are stingy on the sauces for no reason that I can figure. It's been an ongoing issue with them and when we go in person I just ask for more, but today's order pickup took the cake. One tiny cup, not even a third full, with a double order of spring rolls (4 rolls). We didn't notice until we got home with the order because the pickup orders are now all sealed shut because of Covid precautions. My husbands order of orange chicken was skimpier than usual, too. I would've gave them a zero based on how they handled the situation. We ordered our food online they gave us a specific time to arrive we arrived we had to still wait about 12 minutes they were rude when we asked him if everything was in the bag they said yes when we looked into the bag we had food missing we called them to let them know they hung up on us my husband walked in to pick it up they made him go to the end of the line and wait horrible horrible way they handled it. Like any Panda Express, it's well, Panda Express. I like the food. Yes, I've had better but it fills a hole and it's consistent. One expects certain dishes to have a certain taste and presentation in advance, and that expectation is fulfilled. Oh, I've had much better Chinese food but I've also had much, much worse. If anything, the staff could use some lessons in hospitality. A greeting, a smile, and letting the customer feel welcomed would go a long way. This place is always unorganized, careless and dirty. The staff are always stressed out by management and supervisors saying one thing then another. I witnessed staff asking to make more fried rice and chow Mein 30min before closing because both along with meats were very low the manager seemed irritated and said no we're not making anymore food while there was still 3 people in line who haven't ordered. I can tell the staff kept looking at the line like he knew there needed to be more food made and within seconds literally 2 or 3 families walk in which now that 3 people line grew to 10 or 12 people in line. Get rid of all managers and some staff and rehire everyone new in that place. The worst and most disrespectful establishment i've ever walked into. It was so bad I had to walk out on a really hungry stomach. The lady in charge literally ignored me while trying to order & for no apparent reason. I was there for over 15 minutes in the front line trying to order & being ignored while the lady in charge gibberished with another worker and even made some bad comments about her customers. Cannot believe my eyes! I was pulling up to the parking stall in front of them at 9:03 and they were rushing to close the doors. Online it clearly says 9:30 as the restaurant itself does not have the hours posted. Xavier was attending to client ahead of me. Within a couple of minutes 3 clients were waiting. He next completed a take-out order, never greeting any of the waiting customers, nada zilch nothing. Our exchange began without eye contact and just "what can I get you?" Another Yelp review states that a Xavier is a manager here...WOW. When checking out I mentioned that for customer service he should acknowledge the guests waiting. His verbal and body language was derisive and basically F... You. I'd been told this wasn't the best PE location to visit, but it was the one I was near, so I tried it. As was mentioned by someone else, the steamed brown rice was a little too firm. The Shanghai steak was tender & tasty for the most part (the sauce was a bit on the bland side). The mushroom chicken was very bland & it's sauce tasted very watery & flavorless. Not my favorite Panda in Modesto. The food ok I feel like they lack salt in the fried rice. But what really bothered me was a staff member. She an older Asian woman I usually see there every time I go. One time I was ordering and I suppose it was her lunch time, but as I was being served by another staff member she rudely cuts off the staff member to serve herself a plate of what I was about to get on my plate. Then after I paid, I went to the utensil area to get some napkins/forks and she rudely tells me to move so she can get a fork and napkins for herself! My first experience here was pleasant, but my last one was not. I would not give them 1 stars because the food was tasty and not skimped extremely. And because of the polite workers the first time. But my last visit, they were not as polite as I would have liked. I don't expect for them to yell. "WELCOME IN BUDDY" but at the minimum I expect them to be polite. Also they don't put napkins in the bag with utensils; it annoyed me and so did their, I suspect, slightly unapologetic attitude towards it. If I come in again and it's unpleasant again, I'll leave without food and go spend my money to a restraunt more deserving and give this one 1 Star. read more

Great place for Chinese food. We love coming here and are regulars at the last one. Terrific foods all around including egg rolls. A must try are their specials like firecracker chicken and Beijing beef. Service is fast and food is always good. We will be back! read more

As I read others reviews I simply agree... I have been here many times and thought to myself this place is always dirty. The trays have a horrible feel of grime to them the floors as well. The staff is normally nice and polite but the wait is always long. Recently I ordered food for my coworkers around 830 at night and everything that could be wrong was. Long wait, no food ( chicken sold out), noodles prepared wrong, served others around me as I waited 20 plus minutes for food. I contacted management and corporate and minor things were done. Corporate apologized and sent me a few free item cards ( thank you ). Management offered to replace the meals for my staff. During a visit in between my shifts I asked to talk to manager. Staff was very hesitant and scared to get her for me. I just wanted to express my concerns in person and ask how to replace meals late at night. She prompted me back with attitude that she New all the problems and she handled them. The store will never change and frankly I did not return for my meals. The trays are the grossest thing known to man! I don't know how they clean them but they have such an unpleasant sticky grimy feel to them. The service is always slow here. The soda fountain area always seems to be a disaster with spilt soda or trash. I only get food from here if I'm desperate for it and I definitely do take out with no drink. read more

I love Panda Express very much. I only have 2 minor concerns. I absolutely hate how the building is angled, because the corner gets very crowded with a very long line waiting. And my other concern is how wasteful the employees are. There's been scenarios in which there's only 1 spring roll left. They can't sell it because they only come in orders of (2). So they just throw it away... They should just give it away to the customer. I wouldn't mind even if it's cold and dry, no problem. read more

Great food and service, I order online and also order inside to dine in. They are always friendly and the food is always hot. The proportions are plentiful and taste is consistent. Yum Yum! Great service, fair portions. Great location in the corner of crossroads shopping center. This is the nicest Panda Express I have ever been in with the curved tables in the back and flat screen TVs. Being the perectionado foodie I am, they need to figure a way to keep certain food items hot (I tried a sample of the angus beef which was barely warm so I didn't get it). That being said, Panda Express has the best orange chicken in fast Chinese Food period. read more

I am shocked by the negative reviews at this place. I think it is excellent and whenever I swing through Eugene I made a point to eat here.

First this Lady names Nei, Neila whatever her name is she kept telling this employee named Adrian that he was made a mistake of letting someone go to lunch because the line got big all of the sudden. Adrian told her that line wasn't big when she left and she just kept bothering him over and over. She was so unprofessional and then she kept . Telling him that tomorrow she was going to talk to boss And honestly Adrian had a good attitude with the rest of the customer and kept doing his job and that lady just kept on nagging. Her Energy in general was horrible. Then we had to wait around 15-20 for one of the entree to be ready so yeah basically a very unpleasant visit to Panda Express. read more

I had lunch today at Panda in Riverbank and I have to say it was the absolute worst Panda I've been to. I had walnut shrimp and green bean chicken to go. I was expecting to open the box to the sweet honey walnut scent with golden fried shrimp but when I opened the box the shrimp had an extremely strong odor that was most certainly bad. I didnt take one bite of any of the food. I drove back to return the food and tell them they needed to get rid of the pan of honey walnut shrimp and replace with fresh product. I asked to get refunded as my lunch time was up and I had to return to work. The manager Zach said he would have to callhis general manager TAMMY before refunding my money. He comes back and says Tammy won't refund my money but will replace the food. I did not want any food from this place now and I was amazed she refused a refund when their food was rotten. Zach said they have been giving to many refunds and were wellnot able to give anymore. Well I'd say that is an Indication of bad management and surely bad food. Looking at their ratings I'll never go back and feel totally ripped off. Tammy you are a poor general tmanager and need to improve your food and manners. Screw this place.
