BEST lobster rolls in Maine, despite there being MANY close competitors. It's fun to explore! Over 5 oz. of delicious, fresh-tasting lobster on a perfectly toasted bun. We like it with a little mayo, though the butter is probably just as good. Price is high, but relatively low vs other lobster rolls. Cute takeout stand with zero seats, so you'll need to find a place to eat them, which IS doable, or take them to your room. read more

Usually try to avoid tourist traps but this place had the best lobster roll i ever had, been eating rolls everywhere we go during our NE trip and their roll with both mayo and butter was spectacular. Not much to say about ambience or service since you take out and eat on the benches around but roll is elite. We also tried grilled cheese and potato salad here, all gucci read more

This place was recommended as the best. I would have taken a picture of the lobster roll, but my son started eating it before I could. Had a cup of lobster bisque too, but it was barely warm. Would have loved it to be warmer, but the flavor of both were good. Delicious lobster with butter read more

So disappointing. Came on a crazy busy day but was smart enough to call ahead. Lobster Roll and Scallop Plate came to $78!!! That is INSANE! The scallops were so awful and overcooked and they didnt take the muscle off them-the worst scallops Ive ever had. Lobster roll was ok but for $80 this was a total miss in disappointment to me as it came Highly recommended. One of my least favorite lobster rolls that I had. read more

A small little shack that serves a seafood. Lots of people say this is the best lobster in the state. It's a bit different than other lobster rolls. They have chopped up the lobster and added spices and this lobster is whole pieces with a little spice on it so the spice isn't as strong as I would prefer Picky for sure but I like the other lobster rolls that I had a bit better Don't get the french fries. They aren't so good. read more

We were there on Sunday 9/8/26 for my sister's birthday. Unfortunately my dad lost his grip and dropped his lobster roll and they made us pay for another one even after we tipped 40% (cash and card tip) on our 6 roll order Rolls were sub par. Mayo rolls had barely any flavor or mayo for that matter. I've had better. read more

The. Best. Lobster. Rolls. Huge amount of large pieces of lobster on a perfect roll. Succulent and so tasty. The fried haddock sandwich was crazy big and tasty- see pics. Be sure to go to the place with just a take out window- the place to the right with a different line is for another lobster place. Take out only- but we walked over the little bridge there and ate on the grass across the way. Don't try to drive all the way down- park someplace much further away and walk- you likely won't find anything close- and there's no free parking anywhere nearby. read more

Maybe it was just an off day but it was not very busy. The clams I got were just not that great they basically tasted very crunchy and almost had no bellies to them and with how expensive they were you would think that they would be delicious and I know clams are expensive. The actual restaurant is super cute because it's a hole in the wall literally in a fishing town so very very cute. I'm not sure I would be back because there's not much else I would eat there read more

Horrible service. Called in an order they make you wait in the line to order for pick up. Got to the counter and paid and there was a bag of food ready on the counter. 10 mins go by the server asks the kitchen where my order is. They tell her it's the bag on the counter. So for ten minutes my order sat getting cold. When I commented on that the counter workers response was "Atleast you have it". No apologies no attempt to correct it just take it or leave it kinda attitude. Absolutely ridiculous for a $161 dollar order. Owner really needs to hire better staff. read more

HANDS DOWN the best flavor, portion, and priced no frills lobster roll in the area. The bun is grilled to perfection, the meat was generous and juicy and seasoned well, and the price is unbeatable. 5.3 oz for $30.95. I rarely get a Connecticut style roll but something told me to give it a try and it was a winner. Will be back for their Maine roll for sure! read more

The lobster roll was good. I had the twin lobsters with corn, which was good but the packaging was not well done. The fork, skewer stick, butter and hand wipes were underneath the lobster and corn...which was not smart packing. They should have out it in the outside bag. Don't know if the lemon scent of the hand wipes was "infused" into my lobsters/corn. ‍ read more

Lobster roll was great, a little steep at $37 a roll but was delicious! Have a full steamed lobster special 2 for $25 not the lobster rolls though. Brilliant lobster. Phenom lobster roll. A staff that cares and seems to take pride in what they do. Walk up, order, see happy customers, then pickup that order and.... Mmmmmmm! So worth it. You will not be disappointed. And you'll yearn to come back. I shall return! I recommend the lobster roll with butter and warmed lobster. Simple deliciousness. And the vibe of the surroundings is about as authentic as it gets. Look down at the water in the cove by the docks, and you'll see that they keep the live lobsters in a floating 'trap' right by a dinghy in the water. Fun. Fabulous. read more

Staying in Maine we were told to pass by this small city on our way to Boston and get the lobster roll. We had no idea where we were going and all of the sudden encountered this quaint small town with beautiful houses and a very scenic area. The restaurants are very small - with some not having their own designated seating area like this one in particular. Think of it as stationary food trucks with a general seating area. The lobster roll. As one said here, you're welcome. Much more flavor and meat than places in Portland. Definitely worth the value and taste. But the views make it all perfect. read more

The Footbridge Lobster is a small seafood takeout restaurant located in the center of Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, Maine. The cute little red restaurant with a green awning is sandwiched between the Perkins Cove Pottery Shop and the Lobster Shack Restaurant. It is easy to miss if you don't look up for the store sign. It sits across a small wooden draw bridge and waterway. It's an operating bridge so there is plenty of foot traffic and small boats passing during our brief stay. The most recommended item on the menu is their lobster roll. One of the best, if not best, I have had. You have the option of butter or mayo, or butter and mayo. I say go for the butter and mayo. There was plenty of sweet lobster meat per roll. The lobster rolls were $32 each when we went. The The fried clam belly was another great item. Two Lobster rolls, one fried clam bellies, and two lemonades came to just under $100. They also sell nice cold beer to go with your meal. You can enjoy your meal on a bench across from the restaurant. Parking is limited. My husband was able to find parking for $12 just a block from the restaurant. Most parking signage leading up to the restaurant started at $20 and went up to as high as $25. Once parked, I would definitely recommend exploring the area. Perkins Cove has many tiny shops to explore. I would walk up the iconic white draw bridge for a scenic water view and cross over to the other side of the bridge to take a panoramic picture of the area. See my pictures! read more

Just had $40 5oz lobster roll, one of the best! I guess you can't find a cheap price for a lobster in Maine.

Scam Alert!! How convenient that the fryer oil was getting changed at peak dinner time... and how convenient that the only menu items NOT fried were the lobster roll and lobster dinner priced way above market value... Oh wait, that's just the business model. Don't be fooled. You can get a much better roll or meal for much less at any restaurant nearby. Don't be lured in by the lobster trap they've set and go explore the area. No matter how good these rolls supposedly are, they aren't gilded in gold foil and nothing makes them stand apart from the rest. Do better Footbridge Lobster, what a shame! read more

I really went to this place to try a lobster roll but I just could not make myself pay the $+30 for that - I simply dont like lobster THAT much. Instead I tried a Grilled cheese with bacon and my partner had a BLT. Since this is a lobster shack I was not expecting much but was simply too hungry to try and find anything else. Admittedly, I have not have that many Grilled Cheese sandwiches in my life, but this was the best so far! The bread was good and really nice and golden and crunchy and the bacon was nice and thick. My partner had about the same feeling for the BLT. Much better than expected and highly recommended. read more

One thing is for sure: Ogunquit is never short on Lobster. No sit-down. No high stools. The answer is Footbridge Lobster- which is really at the foot of Perkins Cove Draw Bridge. It's a no-brainer to get here especially if you're staying at the Auberge Hotel right over the bridge. Footbridge L. is actually nothing but a red walk-up shack by the water. It is all well and good when I picked up a buttered Lobster Roll and Fried Haddock-Fries order before making the trek home. Service is pleasant and food is nice. My $24.95 (buttered) Lobster Roll came with melted butter on the side which I just drizzled and took the roll several octaves higher. The Lobster Roll is fresh and replete with meat. Fried Haddock at $21.95, was substantial and had the most subtle dredge- it was almost perfection. All it needed was a hair of salt- but a squeeze of lemon (that's provided) on the fish, rounded out the taste. FYI- there are non-seafood items such as hot dogs, a burger, a BEC, grilled cheese, etc for folks who don't like/allergic to seafood. read more

If you don't get the lobster roll, the fried clam belly plate was amazing. Also can't go wrong with their BOGO steamed lobsters for $15!!!! (Took ~20 min to steam). Great, casual, sit outside where you find a seat place. Lobster Rolls were plentiful and tasted great. I like with butter but you can get with mayo or combo if you want. Small line but went fast. A small shack guaranteeing 5pz of lobster in each dish and it's definitely the most of the lobster rolls we had. They dressed it however you wished (buttered, Mayo or both). My friend got the lobster grilled cheese and wasn't too fond of it - the cheese didn't add anything to it and would've been better just to get the lobster roll. They don't have any seating area, but if you're lucky, there are 2 picnic tables near the water about 100 ft away from the foot bridge or some benches right under the foot bridge across the street. Parking is a crap shoot. After 10am/noon, there are free parking along the harbor (reserved for lobsterman in the AM) - just keep driving to the very end to try your luck. Otherwise, you can park at the paid parking lot $4/hr. read more

Ok it's Mother's Day and the weather is beautiful so I knew it was going to be busy, but I've been craving a buttery lobster roll! We went early enough (10:30-11ish) but Perkins Cove public parking was full. So instead of paying $25-$30 to park we went back up the street to park and took a walk along the Marginal Way. This is one of my favorite scenic vistas and it wasn't overly crowded yet. We walked start to finish and then stopped for our casual lunch at Footbridge. The wait was quick even though there was a line. I get the warm buttered lobsta roll on a buttery grilled bun. It was overflowing with sweet lobster and didn't disappoint! At $35 I thought it was worth the price. Two other people with me got the scallop roll: one fried and one grilled. I tasted the grilled roll and it was DELICIOUS! At the price of $9.99 that was the deal of the day! We sat on an outdoor bench to eat as there is no restaurant which only adds to the ambiance. Please do yourself a favor and come here this summer! Get here early to avoid crowds. It was a long and crowded walk back up town! read more
