Not sure if another bad review will do anything to do this business as they already have quite a few, but I might as well add mine to the pile. This company is one of the worst online retailers out there (see other reviews as well as do a Google search), only wish I would have done some research on them first. I purchased a pair of headphones online for a price that was about $40 less than what other online retailers sell them for. Seemed like a good deal, purchased them and excitedly waited. The wrong product shows up; same brand but a much lesser model. The contact begins, back and forth for 3 weeks, finally got them to state they would send me the model I ordered once they received the incorrect model. However, once they received the incorrect model, they refunded the money and the case was closed, they are no longer interested in helping. The correct model I originally ordered is still being listed on the site at the same price I paid, which is a little frustrating. They are either very unorganized or use a bait and switch tactic that sometimes works, either way, I would highly recommend not doing any kind of online business with them. read more

I ordered a camera September 29 and was told delivery would happen between October 3 and October 5. Today is October 5 and my order has not even finished processing yet. I called customer service and they tell me probably another week before I get my camera. Very misleading, there were other camera shops to choose from with faster shipping, the only reason I chose them is because they lied about their shipping time frame. They also mentioned the delay was due to a religious holiday that had taken place during my order. They said they had banners up all over their website letting people know about the delay. PSA: Beware of Focus Camera This is summarized as best I could, but if you want all of the gory details (including proof of the offer and the used listing described below) they are at: https://scottinpollock.us/focus-camera.html I took advantage of the Panasonic Trade Up offer on a Lumix DC-G9 Camera, but actually it is Focus Camera that took advantage of me. I first filled out the trade in form on their web site. They responded by email within a day, but there was no quote for the mint condition DMC-G85 I planned on trading in. When I responded to the email asking for a valuation, I received a phone call later that day. In that conversation they valued the camera at US$650.00, and that they would offer me 70% of that ($455.00). But a week later after receiving the camera, they offered $300.00, telling me that due to the popularity of the promotion, the value of the camera had dropped. I told her that was unacceptable to me and to return the camera and I would send them something else. She then asked what would it take to complete the transaction as is, and taking them for their word that the G85 did in fact depreciate, I suggested splitting the difference ($375). 4 days later she contacted me with acceptance, and that they would credit that amount to my card (which they did). However... a few weeks later I see a "like new in box" G85 in the used section of their web site (exactly like the one I sent them), for $699.95. So it seems the G85 didn't depreciate like I was told, and in fact, they were selling it for $50 more than the original value they had quoted me. Long story short... they refused to even acknowledge the pricing discrepancy, and just repeated over and over that they credited me what we agreed upon. And now they no longer respond to my emails. I feel they had intentionally low balled me after receiving my G85 so they could strike some kind of deal where they could acquire the camera for less than it was worth, and it clearly worked. Pass it on! UPDATE 10/10/2018: I was recently contacted by the manager of Focus Camera customer service regarding this review. She has apologized for my experience with their company and has issued me a refund of $150.00 ($70 more than their initial valuation). She also remarked that there would be some "conversations" with upper-management of the Used Department so this kind of thing will not happen going forward. I had planned to also send a certified letter to the CEO of Focus Camera recanting my first experience with their company. Would that have received the same result as the Yelp review? Possibly... I know I have achieved similar results in the past. It's unfortunate that corporate America hasn't learned from Jeff Bezos about empowering the people in the trenches to look after the customer, and that this kind of escalation is all too often required. In any event, I wanted you all to know that my escalation of this issue has resulted in Focus Camera doing more than what was right in the end. read more

My entire experience is troublesome and this company is not trustworthy! Focus Camera has sent me an unauthentic and fabricated item. This is considered a counterfeit matter on behalf of this company. I have kept detailed pictures and proof of evidence. In the event, I went and purchased real and genuine Anker Soundcore Liberty Air earbuds from Anker because I was skeptical! I reached out to Anker's customer service and managing department to report this issue. The charging case, the earbuds, the lights, charger, etc., is a knockoff compared to the original product. I want to warn others who make purchases with Focus Camera. I think this is beneath a company to act as if they are selling authentic items to customers who are paying real money and having to endure a loss. This company didn't come to any resolution but, they only assumed I would send it back for inspection. I wanted to save less than $10 and realized it's never worth it when you end up paying the price. After reading several reviews, I'm not the only one who experienced a terrible outcome. I will be spreading the word about this company. Focus Camera should be held liable for their negligence. It is revolting for them to try and "re-sell' this item to someone else by asking for me to pay for a return, extra shipping charges and that it should be in "resalable condition" when they receive it. I ordered a Karaoke machine online from Focus camera. Shortly after I ordered it, I found a better deal, so I knew that I would need to return the machine right when it came. I looked up their return policy which said that I needed to get a RMA number from customer service and pay for my own shipping. Fair enough. Except that after I returned it and had it FedEx shipped and tracked (and thus had verification that they received the return), I didn't see a refund credited to my account for 10 days. I contacted customer service and they kept sending me totally bogus emails. "You were issued the refund on 12/13/14"...Um, actually it's January 2014 right now, that makes no sense. "Sorry, you were issued a refund on 12/13/13"...Um, actually that was the date I ordered the machine, so that's not possible. Finally, after exchanging numerous emails and not receiving responses from customer service, I had to file a dispute with my bank. Almost immediately after my bank contacted them, Focus Camera issued me the refund and apologized that their system wasn't working. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE. Horrible customer service and DISHONEST advertising. Paid an extra $25 dollars from one-day shipping where the company claims that it ships the same day. Three and a half days later the item can't even be tracked yet. Just now we got the notice the shipping label has been created, a.k.a. the product has not even been picked up for shipping yet. Will never make it to the destination on time. We wrote two emails asking why it wasn't shipped yet and then again if we could be refunded our $25 and finally got a reply saying that no they would not refund us. I ordered a Keurig through Walmart Marketplace and the ONLY reason I ordered it from Focus Camera was the guarantee that it would be there before Christmas. I ordered it on the 17th. It shipped on the 18 which allows for 6 shipping days. They said that Walmart was promising delivery before Christmas and not telling Focus Camera. My package is set for delivery 12/29 which is 9 days. She also acknowledged they were getting calls about delivery but it wasn't their fault. I explained I would never have placed an order through them without the Walmart brand and the by Christmas guarantee. The first lady was rude. Her attitude was tough luck. "you want to return it... fine". It sounds to me that they signed up to market though Walmart hoping to expand their business and then low-balling the delivery and figured we as customers would have to live with it. This company is not to be trusted! Purchased a pair of Ray Bans from Focus Camera on 6/9/21. What I received from Focus Camera on 6/12/21 were a pair of persols in a Ray Ban box that was beat up with a sticker that said persol on it. Also more writing in sharpie on the other side of box with other product numbers. I immediately reached out to Focus Camera on 6/12/21 and told them they sent the wrong glasses and included pictures of the box and glasses they sent me. They provided me a return label. Once they received their glasses back, they gave me the run around for a week, wasting my time having to do 2 different customer support chats. Then they sent me an email today 6/29/21after ignoring me in the 3rd support chat, stating that THEY received the wrong glasses back and wouldn't be issuing a refund. Well, to be honest, I was a bit hesitant to order from this company due to some of the reviews I had found on the internet. I decided to get a quote on some camera equipment I was in the market for, just to see what kind of deal they could give me. I gave them a call and spoke with a guy named Dan D. who assured me that he could get me the best deal possible. He called me back 30 minutes later and had put together a quote several hundred dollars lower than the other two online stores I typically buy from. In the back of my mind I was thinking "yeah, well they must be grey market or refurbs that they're trying to pass on to me..." I must have asked him no less than 3 times if the items came with a USA warranty and were NEW. He assured me that they were, so I bit and purchased the equipment. No less that 20 minutes later I received a voicemail from another guy at Focus Camera wanting me to call him back. I thought, "uh oh, here comes the up-sale." I called him back and it turned out he just needed to verify some things with my cc....no additional sales pressure, no "I'm sorry we're sold out"....just a quick verification and we were done. Their price was more than $100 off what Amazon was charging. I ordered a Sony Cyber-Shot camera kit online with addition accessories and their website specified to be received within 2 days. I called the following day to confirm the order and its delivery date; they assured me, both verbally and in an email confirmation. The next day I still had not received a tracking shipping number, and called again. They reassured me (both verbally and in an email) that it will be shipped that day and arrive on time. Later that evening, I received an email declaring that the camera and kit are not in stock and if I wanted to cancel or wait. After 3 days of correspondence, and day 4 I still have not received my credit. They charged my account without having the product in stock! I ordered two bluetooth headsets and the one was perfect. The sound is great, it works awesome and we love them. The second set would never sync. We tried everything and they won't go into pairing mode. Focus Camera was awful! Three ignored emails then I went to Paypal. Then, of course they responded but only with a mailing label and a note that it had to have "original packaging". I explained that when one set worked we thought it was us and I tossed all the packaging. They wouldn't even talk to me after that. I've purchased from Focus Camera a few times over the past several years. Most recently I purchased a newly released camera model a couple days after release. I did this after the order I'd had with the manufacturer was cancelled and they couldn't fulfill the order for me. Focus Camera had the item available for purchase and it arrived at my home 3ish days after ordering. Upon receipt I realized that they had sent me the correct camera but a fill kit rather than just the body. I contacted them to let me know of the error and see how they wanted to resolve things. Focus Camera allowed me to keep the new kit with the lens and body rather than shipping it back and waiting for another body only to be available. And I assume that they got overloaded with orders but still managed to handle the situation really well with items being delivered on time. I've place multiple orders with them both online and via Chat. I definitely recommend the chat for a faster delivery experience. The lack of a star is due to their software system online. I think they have issues of processing the orders (the order status rarely changes and does not reflect the actual status), and if it works this is a 5 star experience for me. read more

Unlike Matt, more like Alex S. and Matthew S. I'm local and was able to "stop by" on my way to work. The manager, "Bruce" made every effort to replace my item shipped in error and in fact did so. I am well familiar with stores such as this and if you are not one to bargain ('handel' in Yiddish) you often won't get the best price--I think it has more to do with being well informed about the pricing of the item(s) you want and being willing to bargain than it does what ethnic group you descend from. Sunglasses received as described. The price is 40 dollars cheaper than all other online stores so i decided to go for it and did not regret purchasing from them at all.
