Wanted a dual service where it can also scan documents (double sided automatically) and option to print double sided automatically. Process was easy and fast. Went to the pickup counter and said last name and product. They found it and paid for it right there and then. Walked out happy with product. Thanks!

Over the years, we have bought computer components at good prices from Micro Center and they have a…read moregreat selection. They run special deals on combos of motherboards bundled with CPUs & RAM all the time, which I used to build mine and my son's last computers. Their prices are competitive with online stores. I also like that they occasionally send out coupons for free stuff, like memory cards, flash drives and Bluetooth headphones just to lure you back into the store. Plus they have clearance items that are always good to check, never knowing what you might find. Not as well known as for their computer components is that they also sell many hobby items similar to what Radio Shack used to stock. They have breadboards, soldering irons, wire strippers and other tools. They also sell techie toys like drones, 3D printers and even LEGO sets. But for a while they were also stocking model rockets and accessories, although at MSRP prices. This time, they look to be liquidating the model rocket stocks because they have not restocked in years. All rocket accessories and supplies were 50%-70% off list prices, as listed on their website and I cleaned them out of just about all the rocket engines. The checkout guy asked if I was planning to launch to the moon. What would have been $400 as originally tagged, scanned for $120. Whenever I see a crazy deal like this, I am all over it!

Unfortunately the delivery experience was frustrating. I was told during the sale that setup would be completed at delivery, but when the first delivery team arrived they said they did not have authorization to install it. This required scheduling a second visit and taking additional time off work. When I called the store to resolve the issue, the manager (Ralph) was dismissive and argumentative rather than focused on resolving the problem or maintaining the customer relationship. The haul-away fee was eventually refunded, but the interaction felt more like an attempt to end the conversation than to actually make things right. I also emailed the corporate customer service address listed online (customerservice@pcrichard.com) and never received a response. The mattress itself is great, but after spending over $2,200 I expected a much more customer-focused experience. Good product, but the way the issue was handled is the reason I wouldn't return

Then I decided to try PC Richard & Son, and I'm so glad I did. When I called the Bay Ridge location, Mr. B answered the phone. I explained what had happened, and he couldn't have been nicer. He told me he could order me the same unit at the same price, and installation would be no problem. They even offered the same 0% financing option. The whole process was easy. I ordered the unit over the phone in about 15 minutes. PC Richard & Son sent two teams: one to make sure the washer/dryer would fit down my stairs and into the closet, and another for installation. Albert, a Licensed Master Plumber, and his colleague Christian installed my gas dryer quickly and correctly. They were professional and friendly and did a great job. Couple days after installation, Mr. B called to tell me the unit I bought had just gone on sale and that he was refunding my credit card $54.44. I have never had a store call me on their own to give me a refund after a sale. That really impressed me. Mr. B, you are the best. You've earned a customer for life. I also want to mention Ralph, another associate who was just as friendly and helpful. If you're shopping for appliances, skip the big box stores and call PC Richard & Son in Bay Ridge. Ask for Mr. B -- you'll be glad you did!

So it's been quite a while since I've needed to pay a visit to the Smart Addiction shop and now…read morethey are in a different location than those first times that I needed their help. Recently I miscalculated my stride on some steps and came crashing down with my mobile in my hand and while I wasn't injured, my phones corner glass was smashed. I was mad for the most part since the phone is only five months old and didn't have insurance on it. Before you chide me about that, I should mention that I've never so much as scratched a phone screen in the 25 or so years of using these devices. End of streak. So anyway after being scolded by Verizon, I headed to the Smart Addiction store which is also known as "iFixit New York, Bay Ridge" location to assess the damage and the cost to repair. Sadly, the screen for this particular model was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL since I rather like a large phone based on all the web and social media stuff I do. The other downside would be the cost of $300 to replace and repair this broken screen. They said the Google phones are costly repairs so the part was ordered and I waited a few days. Once it was in the shop they took my device for a few hours and all was good as new. The staff is friendly but as technicians they are more interested in getting the job done efficiently for the customer. I told them the exact happening that got the breakage for them to be aware in case such actions lead to other issues. It's always best to be honest with the technicians. If you spill something on a laptop, let them know, if you drop your phone out a window, let them know etc. All in all I am glad that they are here and I hope that its a while before I have to come in there again since I don't like breaking things. Another good option at this location in Bay Ridge is that they have one of those Go Lockers so you can direct Amazon, FedEx and more to so you don't miss a delivery while you are at work. Thanks for the repair gang.

I only use it occasionally but when I do, it's important. First I called a local computer repair shop. They said it would be $90. Not the worst. Then I asked my friend if she would recommend her computer technician. She said yes enthusiastically and gave me the number for Technical Difficulties. When I asked him for a quote, he told me that different HP laptops may have more than one fan and that he would have to see it. Then he told me that if it's just the fan, I could try a laptop fan pad. Never heard of it! I bought one for under $30 and it solved the problem! What integrity!

One day I was accessing some files -- one minute the files were there and the next minute they were not readable. I panicked. I thought that the files were lost forever until I discovered that there were some companies out there that recover just this kind of lost data. https://www.yelp.com/biz/crb-computer-repair-brooklyn-brooklyn-2 -- recommended Technical Difficulties. I knew the cost could be very expensive, but I had to find out if it could be done and what they would charge. Avi at Technical Difficulties explained to me all the different possibilities before I agreed to send the flashdrive to a lab. I had a certain figure I had in mind that I would go up to because the journal entries were irreplaceable. After waiting a couple of weeks, I was told that most of the files could be recovered including the journal entries. I thought it was a miracle! The cost was not cheap, but reasonable. I was very happy with the service I received. I also very much appreciated how the process was communicated to me. There was never any pressure -- everything was left up to me. I highly recommend their service for data recovery. I was able to recover something that had a lot of sentimental value. Thank you so much Technical Difficulties!
