I contacted Bit Repair for keyboard cleaning - for $50 they removed every key and deep cleaned the entire keyboard. Shipping the keyboard to them, and overall communication, was a smooth, excellent process. 10/10 I would recommend this shop. read more

Went to Bit Repair to fix the broken back glass ($90) and back-facing camera ($100) for my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Be patient as they're pretty busy. But they're communicative about price and the wait time (I waited 3 hrs). 10/10! read more

Lin is the consummate professional and expert you are looking for. I visited the store to repair a Windows Surface Laptop (a highly expensive machine) that I used for roughly 2 years before it would not charge anymore. I did some research to try to remedy the issue myself. Many folks online experienced similar symptoms, but Microsoft refused to acknowledge the widespread issue. Of course, my machine was just a hair out of warranty as well, and I refused to pay Microsoft a dime to fix their problem. In a very quick timeframe, Lin was able to replace the motherboard and return my machine to me fully functional. He is kind, attentive, and communicative at various steps throughout the process. He is also honest. He handed me spare parts the motherboard came with when he could have kept them for his own use. This is the place to go. I couldn't be happier to have my laptop again as I use it to write this review. I am also leaving this review on Google Reviews. With deep gratitude, thank you. read more

Highly recommend! Fast repair. I looked high and low for a place that is inexpensive and takes less time to repair. I called this place and was informed a reasonable price. This guy is amazing. He fixed my phone in less than 30min. They know their stuff. I didn't have to go anywhere. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. I had multiple issues (two broken beats headphones, cracked iPhone with a missing home button and my other iPhone needed a replacement screen protector) when I discussed the headphone issue with him over the phone; he sounded very knowledgeable and helpful. So I came in today, and so far, so good. The phone was repaired and he explained the parts needed, what I should expect and the cost was very fair. My other phone he changed the screen protector, I was pleased with this as well. The verdict is still out on both of the beats headphones, but he was upfront with what he thought may be the issue and what the cost would potentially be. What I found most impressive was the honesty--as the cost of the repair may be more than me simply purchasing a new pair, he didn't try to sugar coat or coax me into going through with the repair. All and all, I'm very pleased with the services here and hopefully he calls soon with some good news about my headphones (either pair) Thanks Yelp for assisting me find a local business that repairs headphones and phones, along with great service and fair prices. read more

This place is amazing! After using my phone every day for three years I noticed that the battery was draining quickly. I called this location and asked about battery replacement. Lin was so polite and helpful. I was able to order the battery through him with a small deposit and two days later I had my phone totally fixed and working better than ever for only $50. I'm so glad I was able to make the sustainable choice of having my phone repaired rather than spending hundreds on a new one. Highly recommend. read more

Great service, honest. Lin examined my iPad. I thought it was damaged. It was only a faulty charger that I needed to replace. I highly recommend BIT. read more

Since I was born handsome and intelligent (and modest to a fault) - but poor, I cannot afford to pay exorbitant prices for a new PC - so I go refurbished. My files and folders were an absolute mess, but I needed a transfer of files (admittedly, a ridiculous amount of files) - so Bit Repair was recommended to me. I cannot say enough about Lin - his gentle manner belies his first-rate acumen - somehow he managed to make great order out of the chaos, I created (I am kind of embarrassed at some naughty photos from the internet - hey, who among us, right, gentlemen), but Lin did a sensational job, is so very polite and kind, knows his business at an affordable price. Wonderful work, a terrific guy - what more can I say? For all of your PC, laptop, smart phone issues, Lin IS the MAN! read more

I highly recommend this place to everyone. Lin changed the digitizer screen and replaced my damaged lightening port in 1.5 hours. It was very fast service. Lin is friendly and professional. The rates are reasonable. I would go back here for all my electronic repairs. read more

Good experience! Bit Repair responded to my message quickly. When I got there they explained I came too late in the day for same day service (I was only about an hour and a half before closing) and asked if I'd rather come back tomorrow - this was very reasonable and I appreciated the honesty. I came back the next day, he explained the two repairs (battery & screen replacement) & what to expect, and gave me a 2 hour estimate. I came back right at two hours and everything was ready and working well and the cost was exactly the estimate provided. Bonus that it was cheaper than most other places in the area. read more

Very friendly, responsive, and honest. He performed a repair on my laptop, performed the work immediately once the parts came in, and had it ready for pickup. New fans worked great. His availability on weekends and being open to 7 are both handy for me getting my laptop back ASAP. He did notice an additional issue with my battery, but was honest that it was a repair I would be able to do on my own by getting a new battery myself. He spent the time to talk through what saw with the battery, even though he knew he wasn't going to get additional business from working on it. I had read other reviews that he doesn't charge you for repairs you can do yourself (or won't over-charge), and my experience validates that. read more

I give it five stars because I had my mom bring in my iPhone 12 Pro Max in the other day and they did such a great job on fixing it and making it look better than when she brought it in to get fixed for me would definitely recommend those with iPhone issues go to them service technicians are skilled knowledgeable and top notch customer service read more

Honest business and owner. Great place to get all your gadgets fixed - from phones to laptops. If you live in the area or outside of it like I do. It's worth making the trip to have this business fix your electronics. The owner is VERY honest and nice. First place since I can remember where I didn't feel like the person was gouging me. I spilled a glass of water on my laptop and had to replace the motherboard. Took him a few days to order the part and fix. It was an easy process with great communication. I cannot stress how nice the owner is. Give him your business. You won't regret it. Thank you! read more

I 100% recommend this business for phone repairs. I went to get my phone screen replaced & it was ready within an hour! Comes with a one year warranty for manufacturer issues. Lin was great! I sent a message around midnight thinking I would get a reply the next morning and in 10 minutes Lin had replied to my request (installing an additional SSD into my PC). His prices were the best out of the few places I called AND he formatted my new drive for me (something that someone else wanted to charge $40 in additional to the install). He told me it would take an hour, I wandered over to the Starbucks across the street and came back just as he was finishing up. He had me look over the new drive to show me everything was working and then I paid and left. Super easy, convenient, fast and reasonable. He was also very friendly which is a plus. I'm going to be bringing all my electronics to Lin from now on! read more

I needed my laptop repaired and Lin was fantastic. He found a much less expensive problem than what I had anticipated and I had my laptop back the same day, good as new. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs something fixed. I had an iPhone with the back glass casing having multiple cracks. I reached out to them for a quote and got a response in about 10 minutes. I waited to see if I would get a more competitive offer from another business, but Bit Repairs quote was hands down the best. I dropped off the phone and explained what needed to be done, and the gave me a time estimate of 3 hours. I came back to pick up the phone after the repair and voila! My iPhone looked brand new again. I will definitely use them again in the future and you should too. A highly recommended business a great customer service. Thank you guys! read more

If I can give more than 5 stars as a rating, I would. I was searching through different tech shops and I found Bit Repair - Owner Lin. I left a message and he called me back. He was my first stop to check out regarding my new Lenovo Yogo C740 not powering on, it came to be that my new Lenovo was defective. However, we decided that we can just transfer the files out of the HDD into another laptop/computer/USB storage. I already had a feeling the laptop wouldn't open up because Lenovo apparently was known for having their laptops lose power. So we decided to just transfer my files. We did not know if the laptop hard drive was encrypted or not. So I dropped off the laptop and within 2 hours he called me to say the HDD was encrypted and we need a key. He stayed on the phone with me and guided me to my Microsoft account to recover the key and once I sent it to him - BOOM! Files became accessible. This is AFTER I was told by 2 managers in Best Buy/Geek Squad, that the HDD will be unreadable if the HDD is connected to another computer/laptop because of this encryption including Geek Squad offering their service to recover data for; i) $50 for simply shipping the laptop to them and ii) $600-$1200 for recovering the data out to their lab and iii) which would've been 6-8 weeks and this was not even guaranteed. SMFH. I went to meet Lin at his store as soon as we got off the phone, he let me navigate through my files on his computer, he let me use HIS own USB to transfer my files (3) times while I was there and he let me take my time so I can confirm the backup files were transferred. Things that could have happened and my experience: 1) Lin, could have easily up-charged me and said it would've been hundreds or even thousands of dollars to retrieve the data and play the Geek Squad game. 2) He could have charged me to buy a USB to use and transfer my files right then and there. 3) He could have charged me for further check on the dead and lifeless laptop that wouldn't power up and charge me for a new motherboard and new battery. He was so kind, humble and giving. He saved me school files but more importantly business files that valued much more than the cost he charged me to retrieve my files - $50. Thank you so much Lin!!!!! read more

I saw that Bit Repair can quote estimates on yelp. So I sent a request with description of my problem with my phone. The owner sent a response back quickly with a very good quote. He offered OEM parts with warranty. I was thrilled, because I've went to other places and they would not match his quote and level of service. When I got to the store, he was already working on someone else device. He kindly said he'll call me when he assess my phone in half an hour. Since the store is in prime shopping area, I walked around awhile I waited for his call. He called back and said I didn't need to replace my screen, but will work on fixing my problem with a wiring issue. He was very honest and knowledgeable with his work. He only charged me for the work he did, and not the price he quoted me. Which saved me more money than I expected. Bit Repair will be my first choice of recommendation to my friends if they need something repaired. read more

My beats studio 3's are getting pretty old but sound great. The plastic was getting lose near the hinge so I took it in for a check up. Turns out that some of the plastic had broke and I needed a new headband, and my worn out ear pads should be replaced. Got them back like new for a great price and quick service. While I hope I don't have to go back if any other electronics break, if they do I will return here. read more

My two toddlers broke two iPads, one iPad mini 4 and one iPhone 6s screen (not in one day, :-P) . Apple Store gave a hefty quote that no one would ever fix hardware there. Randomly searched on yelp and I got to noticed Bit Repair, I live in Queens but still decided to try. I fixed iPhone screens before using Groupon/certain shops at midtown and had some unpleasant experience, some shops even replaced without notice to 3rd party parts, maybe the higher real estate rental to blame). BitRepair guy told me that two newer version iPads just need glass replacement, so both of them is quoted cheaper than iPad mini 4 screen (which needs LCD replacement due to default construction). All my devices were delivered like brand new next weekend with dirts carefully wiped clean by store owner. I am surprised how CHEAP the total cost is with authentic APPLE parts, less than other repair shops (no need to mention apple store quote, prob less than one third from Apple's ). 5 Star Quality service!! Highly recommended! read more

Great service and great pricing, i went to this place twice already, had two of my iphones fixed. Cracked camera lens and crack screen.
