I found this location on Yelp, I was surprised by the location which was literally around the corner from my home here in Bedford Stuyvesant. The first time I arrived at around 7:11 pm on a week night they were closed, I was disappointed because the hours of operations on Yelp were 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, but I came back on a Saturday because of the convenient location. There was one person ahead of me, however it was fast and we were out less than 45 minutes, and my screen is perfect. I even invested in a screen protector, that the technician suggested. Read the reviews and was glad to give this place a try since I love close by. Its simple setup didn't bother me as nobody needs a huge show when you're there just to get your phone repaired. Had my screen replaced on my iPhone 5S almost a year ago at a different place and the glue gave out and the screen came off. Went in to have it repaired and was told it would be $75 and 40 minutes to have it reassembled and fix the home button which came apart with it, so I agreed. When I picked up the phone the fingerprint ID didn't work and I was told that it was not repairable and usually never is. Apparently the technician "forgot to tell me" that bit of knowledge. An apology from the girl at the counter and advice to restore my phone in hopes that it would work. Needless to say...it didn't! Ask a lot of questions when you go in because you may not be getting the entire repair. And when they mess up, don't expect anything in return. I was fully prepared for them to say they couldn't fix it but I was told that they could fix it, preserve the data, and have it back to me in a week. Two weeks later, after repeatedly calling to ask about the status of my phone, they told me it was fixed. When I picked up my phone it looped on and off every 90 seconds or so and was totally unusable. I immediately brought it back to be fixed again. It was finally finished after about three weeks and after additional charges, I had probably spent 300$ on the phone. Fast forward 5 weeks later, my display doesn't work and Apple says the screen has to be replaced AGAIN. Don't go here-- they will waste your money. read more
